I used to work at a summer camp near here, and they used to bring the kids here. So, 10 years later, I came back with my wife to try it again. I thought maybe I had built up unrealistic expectations in my head based on my childhood memories… Nope. This place has THEBEST ice cream I’ve tasted in probably my entire life. It shames all other places. We went on a cold rainy day, and my wife thought I was nuts. But I had to go to see if it was as good as I remembered. Even cold and shivering from hiking in the rain, that ice cream was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. My wife dislikes ice cream, and she kept stealing mine. Being the nice husband I am, I let her have her five bites before cutting her off. They also have a decent offering of other items, like sno-cones, yogurt, and hot drinks.

This is the last stop before heading into the PISAGH, or the first thing to stop after coming back from the national Forest. They have a range of changing flavors so checked what is crossed out on the wall. I got a birthday cake icing and berry blast scoop. I was quite content sitting on Bear Bench and chowing down on my tasty scoops.
