Brian’s Wine & Liquor Emporium

If this place was «Brian’s» he either hired a bunch of Indian guys to run it, or it was sold. Good news is, they still have an awesome beer selection, although not all cold. I was able to get The Shed’s Mountain Ale, which was my absolute favorite beer in college that I have not tasted in 10 years.
The single-​malt scotch selection was modest, and some things were overpriced, but I was able to find a few bottles I had never had before, which is always appreciated. I’ll be back for the beer for sure, but I’ll be done with the scotch selection after a few more visits.

A liquor store is a liquor store is a liquor store… But one with a life-​sized statue of Jack Daniels? Now THAT is my kinda place!
I wandered in here one night in search of a 6-​pack o’sumpin’ to take the edge off my day. I was very pleasantly surprised by how large this place is, and how clean! They actually have nice flooring and decorations throughout the shop, very unlike the corner convenience stores where my boozage usually gets started. I didn’t examine the stock too closely (I was on a mission, after all), but I noticed they had both special edition Jack Daniels –Green Label and Gentleman Jack– which I had never seen before. They also had more flavors of Woodchuck than I had ever conceived of, which is where my night began/​ended.
Oh yeah, and the big scary biker-​looking dude who works there? (presumably the owner?) Super awesome and unforeseeably nice. I will definitely be back.
