Able Auto Body

So based on the reviews below (all 2 of them!) I decided to give this place a try. Just as the other reviewers mentioned there’s nothing fancy here! If you’re looking for a swanky shop with brochures and such… keep driving! If you’re looking for a good job well done and a fair price then come on in! All in all I think Able Auto Body did a great job. I was very pleased with the results. I came there after having the driver side of my car side-​swiped (driver kept going!) the mirror gone, door dented in and lots of scratches. Bob assessed the damage, gave me a written price (not quote) on the back of their busines card, told me to bring it back (with the business card) on a Tuesday and it was ready by that Friday. Done and done. For the price I paid and the job that was done I think all in all it was fair. The reason I didn’t give it 4 stars is because there were evident (but truely minor) painting mistakes that my husband’s keen eye picked up on. But other than that we were very satisfied. We would recommend the shop and would definitely do repeat business.

Able is a great place. They were recommended to me by my landlord who is into cars/​trucks, so I trusted him to know a good place. I had my brand new car about a month before it got attacked by a deer and my car looks exactly the same as the day I drove it off the lot!
Able is a trashy hole in the wall place literally on top of the train tracks… you could get into an accident just pulling out of the «parking lot! However, they do great body work. The owner does all of his own painting, which to me means he takes pride in his work. I appreciate that!
The reason for the 4 stars is that they’re sometimes hard to get a hold of and I’ve had to call them and go down there multiple times to make sure parts were ordered because I hadn’t heard from them (although I am a bit neurotic).
I would recommend them to anyone in the Piscataway/​Middlesex area!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! A neighbor recommended Able Auto Body when I got rear ended in a parking lot. I like going to local owned places when ever possible, so I gave it a try. The building looks rundown, but the shop looks fine inside and most importantly, they did a great job at a good price. I think my car looks better now then it did before.
