Melissa has been cutting and coloring my since 2019. I’ve never really like coloring my hair but I got hooked after Melissa gave me a hair makeover. She’s very talented and meticulous with her work. My hair is really thick and long and she takes her time to make sure that I get the style/color that I want. I’ve been happy and satisfied with my balayage and highlights. Thank you, Melissa! :)

My hair had always been long since high school and I’ve never changed my hair style. (Too scared for change) I have really thick hair and have been always wanted to cut it but was always scared. Came here because of the reviews and read about the hairstylist Charming in the reviews but when I booked my appt didn’t know if it was appropriate to ask for her since it’s my first time there. So I opted for whoever was there. So The cut I wanted was a A-​Line bob. I wanted a total change. Went there scared out of mind I would get a bad cut. So I showed her a pix of what I wanted and she looked at it quick and said ok. So I was a little scared she was going to mess it up. She took her time, cut then styled then cut then styled. By the end of the hour I was shocked and so happy it turned out amazing! She really knew what she was doing. At the end she gave me a business card and said to ask for her when I come back for a trim. And she said her name was charming! I was so happy it was her!!! Ask for Charming she is so amazing! Thank you Charming for the new look! Definitely coming back and asking for her!!!

Charming is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. She serves a large variety of clientele and is very intuitive when it comes to learning your needs and style.
Her prices are unbeatable and she doesn’t beat around the bush like other hairstylists do. She is upfront and exceeded my every expectation. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for their go– to stylist. She also offers a variety of services so if your looking to get your eyebrows done she is also very skilled in this area.
Every time I come home from out of state I go to her. The whole nine yards is very chic and welcoming. No hairtimidation!

Charming has already been my whole family and friends hair stylist for over 3 years. We love her, and we recommend her to our friends (from 19 years old to 65 years old, male and female). Even my wedding she helps me so I look good in my wedding pictures! And every time I need to go to a party, special events I always ask her to help.
Charming is good, I usually bring a picture to show her what I want, and she is always patient to try to understand what I want. She is that kind of person who take what clients want the first, not just do whatever she wants. My husband is a example: he just doesn’t want to picture on the magazine. He wants his own unique style… only Charming is patient to hear what he wants, and takes time to do it.
Charming is not the most fashionable stylist, but she is patient, gentle, and responsible. This is my first review at Unilocal,I recommend her.

My friend and I went to Charming for hair up-​do as bridesmaids, she got an classy and elegant style, while I got a quite playful and unique style. We both received so much compliment through out the night, and we realize there is a picture of just our hair styles posted to FB after the event :) Both of us go to Charming for hair cut now as well! She is the hair stylist I found so far that’s willing to spend the time it takes and treat her job like the work of art to give me the very precious layered hair cut. Thank you so much Charming!

DO NOT GO TO CHARMING!
I went to Charming to get a cut and ombré done on my hair.
i asked her over the phone if she took walk in appointments. She told me she would take me in if i came in about 20 minutes.
I got there and showed her a picture of what I wanted, she seemed to know what she was doing.
Long story short, she did not know what ombré is. My hair literally turned out half black and half bleach blonde with NO transition at all. There was a line half way down my hair. She tried to play it off and tell me that it would look better after a few washes…
I explained to her that ombré is supposed to be a smooth transition into another color and she argued with me. I decided to talk to another girl who worked there, Barbie, to get her opinion. The only reason I gave this place even one star is because of Barbie. Barbie was so helpful and tried to give Charming tips to help salvage my hair. Barbie was awesome and I’m definitely kicking myself for not setting an appointment with her instead!
I spent 5.5 hours at the shop, got dye spilled on my shoe (Charming didn’t even bother to help me clean it), and did not like the end result.
I asked Charming to give me a refund on the color portion of my hair since I want to get it fixed elsewhere. She would not budge… All I can say is, do NOT go to Charming to get ombré done. Heck, i wouldn’t trust her with my hair PERIOD!

I feel so horrible for cheating on my previous hair stylist but as a new Bay Area resident, I had to find someone. That being said, I’m particular about my hair — I have a lot of it and I need someone who isn’t going to dramatically change my hair into something I do not want. I took the advice of my co-​workers and made an appointment with Christina at the Whole 9 Yards, and I am in LOVE! Christina, although as busy as she is, really makes your style the way you want it. She provides her input in what she feels may be a good fit for you but will always revert back to what you want before she makes any changes. She is truly an artist when it comes to hair cuts and styling. The best part? Totally reasonably priced! For a cut and blowdry/​style, I paid $ 30 plus tip. You will definitely leave happy with the work done and ready to show it off to all your friends!

Linda Jee at the Whole 9 Yards is the BEST! I have been getting haircuts
from her for many years. I like to change my look once in a while. I bring in a magazine photo or we look at her stash of hairstyle books, decide on a look, and WOW — instant makeover! Ha ha. Nothing like a good cut to lift your spirits. The other thing is that her cuts grow out very nicely. They last too! From what I’ve seen of her color work — she is a top-​notch artiste! I think she knows Asian hair… my 21 year old daughter also goes to her.

This review is for my stylist Charming. She was very good and knew exactly how I wanted my hair cut. She was very skilled with scissors and just as skilled with the razor. She took her time with my haircut and helped me style and gel my hair afterwards. I truly believe she went «the whole 9 yards» for me and I recommend people to come and get their haircut with her. Call in and schedule an appointment with Charming. You can get an appointment the same day so you won’t have to wait!

This is a review for Cristina and Linda. I have gotten my hair highlighted by Cristina in three completely different ways. First time was with very subtle red, blonde, and brown highlights on my black hair. Second was lighter and more vibrant blonde and brown highlights. The third was ombré (light brown tips) over my black hair with a bang trim and subtle layers. She was able to work with my formerly highlighted hair to make it blend well with the new ombré she did for me. So far I have been satisfied and loved all of Cristina’s work and always get compliments with the new looks I get. It is important for a stylist to give you their honest opinion on how things may turn out, while not swaying you to do something you wouldn’t like on yourself. Also, it is crucial to listen to their advice since they really know what would look ideal. Furthermore, she has had a lot of experience and also has a fun and easy going personality!
I have gotten an A line cut from Linda once and I also liked her work. She is both professional and friendly and will give you her genuine opinion in terms of the current trend and best look for yourself. She also has tons of experience!
I highly recommend both stylists as well as the Whole 9 Yards to anyone, since they have decent pricing with high quality results!

This review if for Cristina. My Mom and I have been getting our hair done by Cristina for years. We have opposite hair (my mom has short blonde hair and I have really long thick dark hair). Cristina gets it right every time! I have had about 4 different color/​highlight variations over the years with her and it is always perfect. Right now I have a deep dark redish brown that fades down to a brassy red/​blonde (ombré). I always get compliments on my hair!
Plus, the entire salon is a fun experience. Everyone is chatting and laughing the entire time.

Linda Jee is the best! I’ve been going to her for years, and nobody knows my hair better than Linda. My hair isn’t the easiest either… I have a thick head of hair, enough to cover 3 heads. Linda does my hair beautifully every time, from day one. Cut, color, highlights… Perfection every time!

I’ve been going to Linda Yee off and on for a few years. I would always try out different stylist as recommended by friends, but always manage to come back to Linda. This time I’m staying put. My last cut with Linda… I LIKEY! Linda is so hip and up to date with the latest styles. I just need to describe what I want and she hits it just like I want it. This time she cut my hair dry, being that my hair is just so super straight, it’s sometimes best to cut it dry… and let me tell you, with a snip here and a snip there… I got me some great layers. There is never a dull moment while sitting on Linda’s chair, so entertaining. Linda does her best work while telling you stories and the latest gossip (Ha!). Pricewise, it’s reasonable. I’ve paid $ 80+ for cuts and would walk out thinking… WTH!
OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Nice place, homey feel just like home (actually the place is in a house), clean and Linda Yee is great. She’ll become one of your BFFs!

I love Beth at Whole 9 Yards!
I started going here after I fell in love with a hair color I saw on someone. When I first went to see Beth, I brought in a picture of my desired hair color and I was not disappointed.
One of my favorite things about Beth is that if I tell her a quarter of an inch, she cuts a quarter of an inch. In the past I’d go see people and they’d end up cutting 3 inches when I’d ask for half.
If you’re looking for good hair color and cuts, Beth at The Whole 9 Yards can provide just that. She’s got lots of experience, a good attitude and good prices.

I always walk out of the salon loving my new look! Her prices are very reasonable and she listens to what you want done. She has never let me down.
