EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL/​RUDE SALES MANAGER!
I went in last week to buy a new SUV. After hours of negotiating, I was about to begin filling out paperwork to buy the car. The entire 4 hours I was at the dealership, I was guaranteed I would get 0% APR or 1.9% — depending on which path I chose. Apparently, they did not run my credit score yet and told me those rates based on assumptions. I was extremely frustrated and dissatisfied when they finally ran my credit score and came back with rates that were doubled. Now my new options were 1.9% or 3.9%. Instead of apologizing, the sales manager SEAN approached me and immediately told me HE WOULD RATHER LOSE MY BUSINESS than negotiate a deal with me. I was ready to sign for the car, and he said he did not want my business. This was the worst customer service I ever received. Aside from being upset about the doubled interest rates, the sales manager was extremely rude. He wrongly ACCUSED me of attempting to record him while he was talking to me (which I did not). He was extremely hostile, very condescending and did not handle the situation well at all. When I asked if anyone higher up was available to talk to, he said he was the highest up manager in the store at the time. I suggested perhaps he call his boss to see if we could negotiate something since I was definitely going to buy the car that night. He refused to acknowledge my request. Then, in the midst of this conversation, he walks away and ends the conversation, as I was in the middle of speaking to him. This was by far THE WORST customer service I ever received. Dealing with SEAN the sales manager made me want to walk away and never do business with AutoNation of Pinellas. I would never recommend anyone deal with that sales manager; I think he should be fired. He was a horrible representation of the company, and I have never been more disappointed and offended while receiving «customer service».

I got a call yesterday from a manger named REX. He was extremely kind and wiling to work with me and try to make me feel better about my horrible experience last week. I was able to get compensated with roof rails installed for free, which was very nice. Additionally, I went back into the financing office to re-​sign my contract because they realized I was eligible for a rebate that they did not provide me with last week. When I went in to re-​sign, they actually told me that they were able to offer me the 1.9% interest rate once again. I was very pleased to find out the interest rate was dropped from 3.9 to 1.9! I have no idea why they refused to negotiate it last week, but I am happy I was able to sign a new contract with a better interest rate and lower monthly payments. My experience today at Auto Nation was a very pleasant one. Rex certainly provided the customer service that a customer expects and deserves. Thank you for the new roof rails!

I went in for a free airbag recall on my 2005 Corolla… as I had wait time (they offered me a ride home and back), I just started looking around the showroom. I was introduced to Sandra and explained I was just killing time and looking around. She joined me and answered a few questions I had on the Prius… then seamlessly we were talking new and used cars… I was on the lot looking with her… THEN…taking a test drive. really! They made me a fair negotiated offer… and I found myself driving home in a 2016 Corolla… the business manager I had (George) was organized and informative… I truly had NO PLANS to purchase an auto that morning, but Sandra and all the team at Auto Nation made it so very easy… they rock… oh and I LOVE my new Toyota… it’s my 7^th Toyota since buying my first Corona in ’76

Had a great experience here while getting a lease on a 2015 Toyota Prius C. They beat another offer that we had found, and made the process very easy to complete. I was in and out in under two hours. Bob Haney was also great and easy to work with.

walked in at 7:45 for an Oil Change. it’s Over 3HOURS later and we’ve just begun the checkout process… it’s already been another :10 for that… so far… TF!!?

845 AM APPOINTMENT for an oil change. Estimated to take an hour and 45 minutes. Why waste time making an appointment? I have purchased my last 3 cars here, but 100 percent think the service department is ALL about selling you what you don’t need. I stick to oil changes only here because I can’t trust that I REALLY need what they suggest. Their prices for service are higher than other shops from what I have experienced.

VERY disappointed. Purchased a vehicle January 20^th 2016. Stated that they were USAA certified, found out not to be true after being at the dealership four hours. DONT SIGN anything with regards to add on’s like body protection $ 600, floor mats a joke at $ 299 and a right con is their $ 299 charge for theft protection. We are military and was trying to be conned. Highly recommend another dealership, maybe Clearwater down the road. They don’t even tell you the incentives and make out you are getting a great deal. Call around dealerships before signing. You could save a few thousand. Worst experience in buying a vehicle, and we have brought several new cars.

If you want to buy a car no problem … But make no mistakes if you need anything at all like talk to a finance manager because you have a question or are missing paperwork. YOU WILL NEVER GET HELP! Extremely unprofessional. I have contacted them numerous times even emailed the general manager Tim Reynold several times and still waiting ., Sad, sad, sad.

Horrible customer service, try to screw you over any way they can and on top of that they are not very knowledgeable or willing to find things out unless you speak to a supervisor and even then it’s not good either. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Awful. Don’t go to that place. My daughter had her new truck serviced. Technician states oil change is all that was needed. Everything else great. So 3 days latter her battery is dead. Upon opening hood battery clearly corroded where it is totally visible. I call auto nation and leave a message for service manager NO response. I have a pic of battery as well as the detailed service report. Just unbelievable. Don’t buy from that place and don’t use their service!!!

The service department is awful. I made an appointment for an oil change. When I arrived at my appointment on time, I waited over 30 minutes until I was able to speak with an employee. Overall the oil change took 2 hours.
They also aggressively attempted to up-​sell me on a number of unnecessary and overprice repairs.

I just bought a 2015 Toyota RAV4 from Bob Haney. What a great car buying experience! He was so helpful, honest, and just all around nice. You always hear about «slimy» car buying experiences, but he made this the absolute opposite. I would go back to buy another car from him in a heartbeat!

Liars! Bad experience! Very unethical sales. Do not go here! Sales people, sales manager, and the 15 other people i had to deal with when leasing my car are liars. I was assured multiple times when i leased my car last year that «everything was covered» and «all i had to worry about was gas.» Apparently that is not true.
After running over a large piece of metal, I took the car in Tuesday, 9 – 22 at 5p. m and was told i have no coverage for road hazard. I appreciate the time the service writer spent searching for a warranty for me, and he was very nice but i am not ok with being lied to or paying $ 250 for 1 tire.
I will not lease another car from you guys! I drove off with the debris in the tire and am not replacing it! Liars!

Warning Please Read
If your looking for honesty at the service department I’m here to tell you different. I had a problem with my 2005 Tundra, I brought it in and explain to my service advisor Dee Lambert was going on. I was told the shaft rod in the front was cracked, I needed front brakes, and my brake censor was needing replacement. Oh and my tires need to be aligned and balanced that’s a total of $ 2412.00.
I took my 2005 Tundra to a reputable mechanic called CHARLIES CAR CARE in Clearwater. I was told I did not have a cracked shaft rod and I did not see anything indicating a brake censor needing replacing. If your tires were aligned they did not do them right you need to have all four tires aligned and balanced. You do need front brakes and you do need your ball joints changed a total of $ 678.95.
All I can say is I gave your service department a second chances. The first time I needed an oil change that was going to take over 2 hrs just for a 10 min oil change. Look what could have happen if I would have went through with my service. It would have coast me a boat load of money.
WHAT HAPPEN TO HONESTY? WHAT HAPPEN TO DOING THE RIGHT THING?

Again No negative stars available! First, was very pleased 2 years ago when I purchased my Prius from Robin Dunn. She’s awesome and would return to her, but… only if she’s not at this dealership. The service department is THE worst, managed the most unpersonable sad excuse for a manager, Matt Gordon. 2 years ago the only real complaint I had was that it took a while once checked in, but lately you wait in line for 40 minutes before a service manager even comes to your car to start checking you in! After several of us started blowing our horns after waiting in line for 30 minutes, the red shirt service managers who had nobody at their desks started to come out of the building. I was fortunate to have a nice gentleman, Victor, after my favorite service manger, Skip, left for another dealership-can’t blame him! Another service manager I had a few times always tried to upsell me from my pre-​paid service. Happily, which is ironic, today is my last pre-​paid service and I seek and don’t mind paying for service elsewhere!
My service today was for a multi-​point inspection that includes an oil change, etc. In fact, my sensor states an oil change is needed. When I was speaking to manager Matt Gordon, after already receiving the paper that states it includes an oil change, he insisted I would have to pay an additional $ 27.00 for this included service. He had no interest in discussing this and my next posting will be the Better Business Bureau. When asked why they take appointments and then one has to wait 40 minutes in line just to check in, and then another 90 minutes for service (although not to include the required and authorized service) he blamed it on HIS MANGER for over scheduling-​NICE!
Anyway, there were some helpful workers there –Ben, the poor, overworked ambassador that was the only one checking in cars and agreed that «they are always busy»!) and «Jeff» a super helpful fleet sales manager, who located a desk for me to work at .
To think I used to drive from Tampa to come here. From now on Courtesy Toyota on Adamo Drive will get my business. I had to stop there once and they kindly checked my tire pressure and were so helpful, COURTEOUS and appeared happy –no wonder they don’t work for the like of an incompetent and rude manager.
I must be really old… I remember when customer service and retention meant something!
So it gets better! After setting myself up at a desk and doing some work, making calls etc. it dawned on me that it’s been 2 hours and they were only doing inspections and topping off fluids. I go to Victor and he asks if I want the oil change I say no that was established and is my car ready? He awkwardly referred me back to the rude and unprofessional manager Matt Gordon who again asked if I wanted to purchase an oil change. I thought it was pretty clear before but the wind up is this obnoxious, hopefully soon to be unemployed sadist smiled and said «yeah we didn’t do anything its outside where it’s been for 2 hours» WOW did I show restraint. When asked why nobody bothered to tell me, he said I walked off,. Yyes to the waiting area clearly in sight. I lost it and made no effort to conceal what I thought of him.

I scheduled an appointment well in advanced. When I showed up the guy made a comment about me not making an appointment. I said that I had and it got taken care of. I arrived at 7am and they told me it would be done around 8:15am. I thought that was a really long time considering I had scheduled an appointment but I kind of expected it based on other reviews I had seen. Of course, 8:15 rolled around and it wasn’t done. I went up and asked and he said it should be done soon and he would go check. Nope! Didn’t hear back from him and I wasn’t out until just before 9am! That’s almost two hours for an oil change.
I fully regret signing up for the pre-​paid service plan. I feel that since I am already suckered into it they know I don’t have a choice to take my business elsewhere. I know there are high quality places that could service my vehicle and that value their customers’s time. If you’re considering purchasing a vehicle here, don’t bother to do the service plan. It will just increase your monthly payments and you will be paying people to waste your time.
Also, when I purchased my vehicle I accidentally forgot my Sunpass in the vehicle I traded in. When I went back the person told me that when they had removed it, the sticky part had been destroyed and so they threw it away. But that was a complete lie since it was attached with suction cups and was easily removed and re-​attached. Basically, be careful to get your belongings out as they will not help you if you forget.
This was my first car buying experience and I regret putting my trust in them and not shopping around more. The people are nice enough and the service seems decent, but their lack of consideration and willingness to help are definite deal breakers for me. My impression is that once you sign the papers they will do the bare minimum to meet their obligations.

I bought several vehicles from this dealership. The last vehicle i bought was a 2011 Toyota Camry XLE with 46,616 miles on it. I LOVE THIS car and it was the best deal I ever received from this dealership. I wonder if it’s because I bought it on my birthday.
The reason I only give 3 stars is because both cars seemed slightly sluggish when I bought them, and both cars were recommended for fuel injection service. Both cars were under 50,000 miles when I bought them. I find this a little too coincidental.
Also, they charge between $ 35 and $ 55 (before taxes and whatever else they can tack on) to change air and cabin filters, I found out I can change myself in 10 minutes for about $ 15 or less each.
They’re very nice and courteous, but they don’t quite dispel the rip-​off reputation of dealer service facilities

I just purchased a 2015 Toyota Prius from this dealer and overall, my experience was great! I initially submitted an inquiry online and Paul Falcone quickly responded to my request. After a couple days of email exchanges between Sean Ryan, the sales manager and Paul Falcone, my salesman — I received a pricing breakdown and trade-​in offer I liked.
I drove an hour from Sarasota to complete the new car purchase. Paul even came in on his day off to deliver my new Prius. While waiting to go into the finance office to complete all the paperwork, Paul made sure to go over all the options and features of my new car with me. Overall, I was in and out of the dealership in about an hour which I feel is fantastic! Everyone I dealt with was friendly and very quick to respond to any of my questions. I didn’t feel any pressure or experience your typical cookie-​cutter sales tactics — and I received pricing that I felt was totally fair.
I will recommend this Toyota dealer to anyone I know who is looking to purchase a new Toyota. Big thanks to Paul Falcone for the painless car buying experience!

If only I could give zero stars. 2 hour promise turned into over 3 hours and I’m still waiting for my car. Somehow $ 72 + $ 22 + $ 120 = $ 257! It’s not tax, already checked that. That $ 120 was to have my sunroof, which wasn’t closing properly, checked. I was told that a quick lube job was the fix to my issue, just find out that the motor is failing and the $ 120 lube job wasn’t needed. Still got to pay for it though. Watch out for these guys, they are not trustworthy from top to bottom.

Had a safety recall on my RAV4 and this is the closest Toyota near me. Scheduled an appt for 10AM. Arrived at 9:50AM and pulled in behind a bunch of other cars. A Toyota employee came and got my name and mileage and put a clipboard on my windshield and then we waited for someone to come talk to us. And waited.Not sure about the organization of this place or what, maybe I got in the wrong service line? LOL… but we watched another lady get serviced before we did and we got there before her.
Finally, a service staff person came and took my keys and asked if we were going to wait. When I said no he said good because my car wouldn’t be ready for a few hours (WTF?!). Luckily, my husband was off work that day! He called back around 12:40PM and said my car was ready. Went back to pick my car up and was told to go to cashier and that was it. She handed me some paperwork and I left. No interaction with the service guy who initially took my car keys. Normally, I get reassurances that they fixed whatever part was recalled and they go through some other stuff with me, but nope.
So an overall meh experience. Had waaaay better personal experience with other Toyota dealerships. My husband is wanting a new truck and we were thinking Toyota. Maybe their sales guys are more personable?
