Lovely staff & sushi chef! The avocado roll & asparagus roll were both perfect as can be! Prompt service & excellent prices! I think that has to be the best experience I’ve ever had as a vegan at a sushi restaurant! Will be back again very soon!

Very good! Loved the sushi and my green salad with ginger dressing. I’m sure there is a whole lot more to try and I can’t wait to come back to do so. The fried rice wasn’t my favorite but overall it was good. The service was good and it was a nice ambience. Will visit soon again.

home, sweet home. I love the area, the wonderful staff, and the yummy sushi. I try to come almost weekly. I once had a problem here with the freshness of my roll, and they took it off the bill and gave me a different roll. I’ve only had a problem once, out of the thousands of times I have been. They put the customers first — before profit! Check out the cucumber salad! That’s my favorite!

I used to frequent a sushi place near my office but after trying Miyako, I will never get my sushi anywhere else for lunch, even it it means a 15 minute drive. Miyako is quick, affordable and just hands down delicious. Their lunch boxes are around $ 12 and leave you full for the remainder of your work day. I prefer Lunch Box C which includes 6 pieces of sashimi, 3 pieces of sushi, ½ a California roll, sunomono, edamame and a choice of soup/salad. If you’re a ginger dressing fanatic like myself, their salad is easily one of my favorites. Before Miyako, I was never into wasabi and now I cannot get enough. Why you ask? Because they carry fresh wasabi, which almost looks like relish and tastes 100x better than what the other restaurants give you. Do you crave that kick to your sinuses that leaves you teary eyed? Order a wasabi bomb. .. you’ll thank me later.

I really enjoyed the food and experience here. Service was quick and friendly. I got the red dragon roll. They don’t skimp on the cream cheese. Also fairly inexpensive for sushi, and I really dig that some of the seating is on a pillow on the floor with no shoes. Very authentic. Will eat here again during my stay in south Miami!

Yummy and quick and easy for takeout. They even show you all your food that’s very nicely packaged up to make sure you have everything you need before sending you off. Definitely recommend it!

Very accommodating people! They have lots of choice for food: tempura, noodles, nigiri/sushi rolls, curry rice, katsu, covering basic Japanese food you can think about. Can’t say the food is excellent but definitely better and more authentic than most Japanese restaurants in this price range. Will go back.

Me and my bf were walking around the shopping center looking for a bite to eat and we walked into this little gem! Wow, the food was amazing! Fresh food, immaculate service. It’s like the waitresses have a great buddy system. Everyone is very helpful. Definitely would return soon!

I have been coming here for years and had the worst interaction with the wait staff and manager over a very minor issue. Terrible service. Manager is rude.

Delicious! This wasn’t our 1st choice but the other place was closed for vacation. A couple outside recommended it & boy were they right. It was one of the most flavorful sushi dishes I’ve ever had(& I’ve had plenty). Too bad it’s not closer to where we live.

I went to this restaurant, trusting the rating… I was extremely disappointed… We order the ramen, some sushi and dumplings… The ramen and I quote my boyfriend«the worst ramen I have ever had»… The broth was tasteless, the pork was overcook and the noodles might as well had been from noodles in a cup… The sushi was average… Overall not a good experience!!!

I have been here twice now. After rave reviews from local friends, I went once and then tried it again to make sure I wasn’t missing something. The 1st time I went I got sushi and it came as 2 pieces for 1 order. The 2nd time I was told that the price on the menu is for 1 piece. So did the waitress from the 1st time make a mistake? I ordered similarly both times and the bill was $ 10 more because of the sushi miscommunication. Between the 2 times I was there I also got the atomic roll, the spider roll, an eel roll and a spicy tuna roll. The sushi is fresh, no complaints there. The service is inconsistent. The food is overpriced. I’ll only go back if I’m with my local friends who seem to really like it there.

Food was overpriced and… whatever. We asked the older, more plump Korean lady how many ounces the wafu steak was; she didn’t know, but she said it is «big». I think they should at least know the size of their steaks. People are interested in portion sizes, you know. It wasn’t that big, actually. It was long, but not big. The best part of the meal came when I signed the check, and the plump old lady came to collect it. She looked at it, hesitated and came back to our table. «Can you put the amount of tip on this line?» I had written the total, but not the tip separately. I took the pen and wrote, «2.90» and gave it to her. She glanced at it, and asked disgustedly, «two dollars tip??» and walked away. Actually, closer to three dollars, you idiot. And you don’t go examining your tip and questioning it right in front of your customers. We went home feeling like the entire experience had been shat on, because of this woman’s rudeness. Those smiles and being asked, «how is everything?» will cost you a dollar a piece. Oh, the joys of our stupid American tip system, which by the way doesn’t even exist in Japan, even though service is five times better there.

This is definitely one of my fav sushi restaurants. I visit this location often as its close to work and home but love the service and ambiance. The waitresses are friendly the sushi is amazing and fresh and the soups are delicious. No dinner is complete without Thai donuts. Do not leave without trying them you will regret it. Had the Miami Hurricane roll and it was delicious. Decided to try something different and it was a great choice. Can’t wait to go again and try another type of roll!

Having traveled to Tokyo, this establishment is about as Japanese as you can get in the states. I have explored their menu just about every weekend to every other. You simply cannot go wrong. The Sake selection is wonderful. Try their cloudy selection. For appetizers anything on the menu is great. Besides their out of the world sushi both on freshness and flavor their Beef Stir Fry and the Shrimp tempura Undon are winners. I can never get enough of this place!

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal although it was a little pricey. Then again, I’m spoiled by my favorite spot! Lol I had an omakase(chefs choice) which brought some sashimi, uni, ankimo, and a few other tasty items. All in all, I’ve had better, but I won’t complain because the quality and service are spot on. This is a good spot to go to when you’re just starting to move past the cooked stuff since they have a good variety of both. If you’re in the area, check it out!

A Pinecrest staple. For straight-up sushi and other Japanese delectables, this is my go-to. Don’t get me wrong, there are some«interesting» items on the menu, like the Dragon Roll, with soft shell crab, avocado, asparagus, roe and rooster sauce. The specials menu also may contain some slightly more adventurous items. That’s all fine and good. But I come here for the plain old Sushi Mori B combo. You know the drill. California roll, tekka roll, nigiri. So simple. So tasty. Am I really about to sing the praises of a freakin’ generic tuna roll? Yes, yes I am. It’s the perfect sushi bite. Fresh tuna and just the right amount of rice. The Sushi Mori A plate comes with more nigiri, but without the tekka… and I just can’t bring myself to not get those disturbingly simple, addicting tuna rolls. I haven’t been disappointed with the freshness of the nigiri yet, either. Save the piece of eel for last — I love that sweet/savory taste; it’s the perfect way to finish the meal!
