Food was excellent. Service was not. Wait staff was rushed, impersonal and had us wait for 15 minutes after being seated before he spoke to us. We were ignored throughout meal and had to go to the hostess to get a check. Being busy is no excuse. HIREMORESTAFF and TRAINYOURWAITSTAFF to be personable. They were indifferent.

Does the heart good knowing that our neighborhood restaurant still has it’s touch. I love their veal scaloppine with fresh lemon and caper sauce is mouthwatering delicious. The staff is always very willing to ensure you enjoy the friendly neighborhood atmosphere you walked in there expecting. You must save room for dessert. It is quaint and you will want to return like I always do.

One of Miami’s best Italian restaurants hands down. This place has been consistently awesome for YEARS. For the Kendall & Pinecrest area, it is a savior. You’re safe with any dish, but some of my favorites include the fried cheese, and the prosciutto and mozzarella tomato salad for appetizer, then the frutti de mar with black linguini for entrée. Any of the parmigiana are delicious, as is the rigatoni with prosciutto and pink sauce. Excellent service, old school/old crowd atmosphere, and a cool Italian market right next door.

Very good Italian food with a neighborhood restaurant feel. We have been going here for a number of years but have to say that our most recent visit, tonight, was one of our favorites. Service was attentive and food was great.

I was devastated when the Coral Gables location closed. But I put on my big girl pants and drove to Pinecrest. I love this location. It’s beautiful. The food is just as awesome. The market is great and has a ton of products. They also have Italian cookies — so yummy. Even better — the 2nd Wednesday of every month they have a wine tasting event for about $ 10. Totally worth it!

Mom and pop places that have been around for a while truly hold a special place in my heart. This is one of them. So lets get the obvious out of the way– the place is old and it perhaps could benefit from a little upgrade not to mention how dark it is. but somehow you get over that and I will tell you why. The food is rich in flavors that will definitely fill you up. The bruschetta, Pear Fiocchi and the peas with pancetta are some of my favorites. The wine bar has a fair selection of wines and the staff is pretty knowledgeable. Oh not to mention the little market they have– wow talk about product overload but it is worth it to walk in there an explore. I have to say though the service can be a bit slow but like in many places you have to know when and at what time to go. If you are in the area give them a chance, you just may find a new favorite old school italian place to eat.

I went to this restaurant the way back from homedepot. It was not a busy night at all and half the restaurant was empty. The staff there did not even acknowledge our existence and eventually we had to ask for a table which they replied that nothing is available and to maybe check back in like 45 minutes. We looked back and saw that 50% of the tables were open. We asked what about all those tables and they said it was reserved for other people.(translation: reserved for anyone who comes in dressed better than you) I think we were discriminated against because we both just came back from the home depot were not wearing a suit and tie. I am not sure if this place has new management or not but I have never been denied service at a restaurant before since Miami is more of a come as you are place.

We are regular visitors to Anacapri and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and well prepared and the servers and management are nice and gracious. We particularly like the wine bar, as it offers a nice chance to relax prior to waiting for a reservation, and we have even had meals there — though they don’t offer the full menu. This is great local establishment and one of our favorites. I would recommend a reservation on the weekends, but they are also usually accomodating.

Haven’t been here in years. But it wasn’t as good as I remember. It was just OK. The spinach seemed frozen. The bread did also My husband and I shared a meal and we had to ask for extra dishes with every course. We won’t be going back again for a long time. There’s plenty of other better Italian restaurants to choose from.

This review is about two consecutive weekend visits this month. The atmosphere of Anacapri really gives you a warm impression when you first walk in. The collection of wines and marketplace really sets the tone for your experience. So yeah your expectations are really high and you’re totally looking forward to your meal. Once you sit down you being to notice that the staff seem very unhappy and aren’t thrilled with their job. This becomes more evident when you have to repeatedly ask for more bread, wine, water, etc. You would think they’d hop on a wine request but not at all. On my first visit I had Italian wedding soup which tasted more like minestrone. I’m a huge fan of wedding soup so I wasn’t too impressed. We also had calamari which was pretty standard, The Gnoci, Tortellini and Egglant Parmesan all got rave reviews from our table. My cousin wasn’t crazy about the linguini with clam sauce. My partner ordered mushroom risotto which he requested Chicken with. It came without the chicken and was so hot he burned the inside of his mouth. A day later it blistered. Still it was delicious, not sure it was worth the injury. So overall the food is definately pretty excellent. I wasn’t prepared to spend over two hours for dinner and having to wait so much for everything you ask for. The service definately is the Achilles heel of this establishment. Miserable staff that really aren’t concerned with your overall experience. Some friends I know recommended the place but warned us ahead of time. So you just have to weigh the good food with the bad service.

Good food! Great service. Love their Pasta Tuesday. Great wine bar and tapas. They offer a great variety of specials every day of the week. Always a treat to eat there.

Found this place by accident. We were the first customers there. They opened at 5pm on Sunday. Inside is really nice. Before looking at the menu I was guessing expensive. To my surprise the prices were reasonable. Food was out of control. Tasted fantastic. I had the lasagna. My favorite. Waiter was polite and professional. A little on the quiet side. By did a great job.

The service here is awful!!! Went here for a birthday dinner and I will never go back. We arrived and did not receive our drinks until 45 minutes later. We were never asked if we would like appetizers, refills, coffee or dessert. The waiters would quickly drop off the items and Rush off before we could ask for anything. The simple dinner became a two and a half hour dinner by the end and I could not wait to leave. The food was good but there are plenty of Italian restaurants out there that I will never try this one again.

This is a neighborhood gem! We absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, service and delicious food. Wine selection is great too. We visit once a week for take out or to eat in, the hostess Dani is such a sweetie pie. The fiocchi is an amazing dish, but there are so many other great dishes too.

New owners? New Chef? Sorry I never write reviews like this but had such a disappointing meal last night that I wanted to share. I have not dined here in many years so not sure with opening of other locations, maybe this original restaurant is suffering. My date ordered a risotto of the day and, other than the sausage being mild and not spicy, said it was good. I, on the other hand, ordered Orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage, which is one of my favorite pastas. The dish was very bland — not enough garlic and mild sausage instead of spicy. What really bothered me was the way the broccoli rabe was presented. This dish should use only the florets but the chef«dumped» a whole«bunch» of steamed broccoli rabe with leaves into the bowl. I am not Italian and make this dish so much better. Service could have also been better.

I am giving this restaurant 3 stars not because it is has bad food, but because the attitude of the server is horrible. I have visited this place about 3 different times and I have always gone dressed appropriately. The service in the past has been good, but not great. On one visit I was very dressed down, to the point that I felt bad going in on how I was dressed(jogging pants and a sweater) Well, the server just decided that night to treat me like a second class citizen and telling me of certain menu items being a little expensive for me! Well, I was just pissed from that moment forward, I made my remarks to him and to say the least I have never gone back. Not because of the food, because the food is great, the service? that is another thing to answer. If the owners read this, make sure your staff treats everyone equally, I visit high end restaurants all time, I just don’t like to show off that I have any wealth!

Much better than it looks. The location is the only reason I’d hold out on giving it a 5. Just wasn’t that impressive but once you get inside its nice and cozy. I had the penne arriabata which I may have spelled wrong but sure was delicious. It compared to the pasta I had in Rome which was divine. My wife had the bucatini amatriciana and that was great too. The rest of our party had different meals they all enjoyed. We also ordered the palermo wine and the Santa margherita. Both delicious. Unfortunately my brother in law paid for us and didn’t let me cover my plate but from what I remember it was like $ 15 a person for food which isn’t bad. Would put it at no more than $ 25 a person after drinks and stuff. I’d go back.
