Came here tired and thirsty after an amazing hike along Horton Creek to Horton Springs near Payson. I was initially concerned about how long it would take me to get here from just east of Payson, but found it to be an enjoyable 35-minute add-on to the north. While I had come for the Strawberry Blond, unfortunately they were out, so I decided on a flight of their remaining 5 year-round beers they still had available plus«She’s So Hop,» their seasonal red IPA. The 6 tasters in the flight were a total of $ 7 which is a MAJOR deal! While all of the beers weren’t bad, the ones that stuck out as exceptional in my mind were the Monsoon Mud Stout and Roadrash IPA. The Roadrash is right up there with some of my favorite IPAs from Stone and Ballast Point, and I was shocked to find one of such quality in such a remote place as Pine! I didn’t try any of the food but will have to order their pretzels upon my return as they looked awesome.

Awesome food. I had a cheese burger and it was the best I’ve ever eaten their food tastes so fresh and healthy. The french fries were to die for, homemade real potatoes not frozen cardboard potatoes.

They seated three other groups that arrived later than us. The beer is ok, not the best for the price. The ELK and Buffalo chili on the nachos were awsome. Parking is crazy. The waitress was so slammed she was all over the place, and had a bad attitude. All and all a bit pricey but great food.

My husband and I went here twice while we were camping up in Pine. Friday night it was super busy, but our server was fantastic. Can’t say the same about the food. I had a salad and it was meh. My husband had the pepperoni pizza and it was burnt, and topped with way too much cheese. Such a waste. The strawberry blonde beer was delicious though. Came again on Sunday since he had really wanted to try the Green Chile Philly, and was just disappointed. Beer, however, was great. So this place is fantastic for their beer, just not their food.

Whats there not to like — Although I wish they were open a bit later this place rocks! Great beers, awesome menu with different items to separate them from the usual bar food. It was Friday so I had the all you can eat Fish and Chips — it wasn’t bad for all you can eat deal, soup was a bit watered down, but I did get to try one of their veggie burger patties and it was fantastic! A bit slow on the service, but they were packed. Prices are on point and people are social. You need to make this stop and check them out!

I had the prime rib sandwich. For all the hype, it was served cold :(. The service could be better as well. We ordered drinks(tea, soda and beer) and the server didn’t ask for refills. I would have ordered another beer but alas, I could not because I was not asked. Sigh. Cute place, cool patio, even though we sat inside. I’m not sure we will be back.

I came up to Pine for the Mogollon Monster 100. My wife and I decided to have dinner here since the race packet pick-up was here. The service was average and the food was below average pub food. I had the margarita pizza; it was underwhelming. There was way too much cheese and the crust was more like a tortilla. The beer, however, was pretty good. We actually came back for lunch after the race to try some of the other dishes that our server recommended. I had the Philly sandwich and was disappointed. It fell apart every time I picked it up, it had a very bland taste(I couldn’t stomach the cheese sauce), and there were chunks of fat mixed throughout. I would recommend stopping here for a beer on the patio in the pines, but moving on to find food elsewhere.

Solid establishment. Great beer. Had a flight so I could try them all but I think the AZ Trail Ale was my favorite. I had the prime rib Philly cheese steak and it was an amazing choice! It had some spicy Sriracha cheese sauce on it which made it all the more better. Probably the best cheese steak I’ve had in my day. I started with the fried green beans and they were great as well. Tried a few of my friends food too and was quite impressed. If you are passing through it is a great place to stop by.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to get some food after a trip to Tonto Natural Bridge. Sat at the bar and waited 5 minutes just for someone to ask if we wanted a menu. We finally ordered our food and it took about 40 mins for a Prime Rib sandwich and a Blackbean Burger. The burger immediately fell apart and the prime Rib left much to be desired. The service was horrible but everyone that came in wanting to try there beer was immediately helped and constantly taken care of. Definitely won’t be visiting here again.

We stopped in for a beer and slate afternoon snack. We sat outside under their patio canopy. We shared a flight of 6 brews which were all quite good. We shared their beer pretzels with cheese sauce which were OK but not spectacular. Great friendly and attentive service. Nice atmosphere. It was quiet when we arrived but started to fill up as 5 o’clock neared. When we passed by again on our way home a couple of hours later, it was packed. We learned that they have another brewery in Cottonwood very close to where we live which we definitely will try.

We stopped in to check the beer selection and fill up a growler or two. We tested the AZ Trail, Rye offering, Strawberry Blonde, IPA and a couple of others. The AZ Trail was closest to a good English Bitters in flavor. Not hyper hopped like American West Coast IPAs but enjoyable. The Rye offering was actually hoppier with a more floral finish than the IPA. Very enjoyable. My wife like the Strawberry blonde. To wash down the beers we tested we enjoyed the Elk and Bison nachos appetizer. This was very good and would have benefited from fresh jalapenos rather than the canned variety in use. All in a a good visit and a wonderful option for lunch near Payson and or Pine AZ.

The best meals of our trip to Strawberry were at That Brewery. We had a little bit of a wait on Saturday night around 6 as it was pretty busy, but it wasn’t too bad(Maybe 10 minutes or so). I had a chili covered potato, and tried some Philly sandwich, and chili cheese nachos. The nachos were a gigantic portion, with elk and buffalo meat chili and melted cheese. They were excellent and we all finished the plate despite the mighty amount to conquer. The chili potato was good, and just the right size for a smaller appetite. I loved the chili itself. It had a good mix of meatiness and flavor. The Philly sandwich meat was very tender and flavorful. Another great item to order. In addition to indoor seating, there’s a large outdoor patio where they have live music on the weekends. Service was good and we were checked on as needed. Definitely a great place for a meal if you are in this area.

My friends and I were both looking for a local restaurant to go to on our last night in Strawberry. To our surprises, we both have different Unilocal friends checking in at this bar/restaurant. Always trust a fellow Unilocaler and that is how we ended up here. This restaurant has a inviting patio area where a band is playing during the weekend. Unfortunately, we couldn’t sit out there to enjoy the music and the wonderful weather due to a long waiting list. When we first got here, we didn’t have much expectation since we assumed this place would only have«bar» quality types of food. To our surprises, their food was absolutely delicious. I had a Philli sandwich made with prime rib. It was soooo juicy and delicious. My companies enjoy their meals as well. Service is awesome. Our server who wears a skirt(yes…a skirt) is super funny and friendly. During my 2 days weekend stay in the town of Strawberry, I enjoyed their environment and food the most. Next time when I come in town, I will definitely hit up this place again.

What a cool place in small town USA… Great customer service !!! Great food !!! Exceptional beer !!! Try the Strawberry Blonde, really good. Also try the Margarita Pizza and Chicken Sandwich. The biggest thing I liked about this place was that they were very pet friendly. The server made sure that our dog always had water and made sure he was comfortable. Couldn’t imagine having lunch with my wife in a more beautiful place. Will definitely be back and will definitely tell as many people as possible about it.

First time at That Brewery and Pub. Spending three days up this way. We may come back to That Brewery. We drove by yesterday and saw all the cars so we thought we’d check it out. We arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday for lunch and there was a waiting list: that’s how popular it is! The four of us were seated in eight mins and were given menus. We ordered drinks, including a hard cider, a glass of wine and two beer flights. For lunch we ordered: Buffalo Mac N Cheese, GF That Cheeseburger, GF Elk and Buffalo Burger and a Cowboy Burger. We also got a Caprese Salad to share plus two substitutions for the fries: Buffalo and Elk Chili. Everyone was very happy with their choices. The buffalo and elk gave those plates a much richer taste. The burgers were pretty big and the sides were plentiful so we rolled out about 45 mins later. We’ll be back tomorrow since the menu displayed a good selection.

LOVED this place! It’s rare that I want to do this, but I wanted to eat here for every meal while we were in Pine. I loved the dog friendly patio, with the doggie entrance. I LOVED the Strawberry Blonde, and the Arizona Trail Ale. The beer meatballs were to die for, as was the elk and buffalo chili, as was my husbands southwest burger, and the peach cobbler was just over the top!!! The best peach cobbler I’ve ever had!!! I loved the atmosphere, just sitting outside within the pines and the beautiful area, the coolness, the service — I wanted to eat everything on the menu, and I did eat so much that I couldn’t eat dinner that night. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

Update again! The new menu is not good still so we have ventured out and started to try other places. Still love their beer but there a LOT less because of that new menu… just cannot find food on there we like. Bummer really.

Stopped here after a fairly unsuccessful attempt to hike fossil creek(we went to late in the day and only got to do half the hike!). At first my friend and I were unsure of whether or not we should stop here because the exterior looked a little odd, but after checking out the menu and seeing the vegetarian options, I thought it would be a good choice! There is good outdoor seating, perfect for nice days. The interior is nice as well, very ecclectic! I especially liked the women’s bathroom, which was bright pink with a cool art piece inside. Also liked how at the front in the bar, you could see where the beer was being brewed. When we first got there, no one was standing there to seat us for quite a while, we looked around and eventually the bartender had to come seat us. Everyone working there was nice though, everyone seemed to be friendly and in a good mood, our server was great as well. I cant remember the name of what I ordered, but I got a black bean burger with pepper jack cheese and green chiles on top, and it was pretty good. Not the best veggie burger ever, but it did hit the spot. The best part was the wedge fries, they were seasoned really well, and tasted fresh. Yum! Kind of lame that they charge extra for a black bean patty though. My friend got a rib sandwich and he did not like it, thought it tasted dry and flavorless. Also I ordered the house merlot, and it was very good, and only $ 5 which I thought was a good price! This restaurant was cute and food was mostly good, would stop again if I come back to Pine again!

I have been here about three times. I had the fish 2x(That should tell you something about the good fish) 1x was the braut’s…they were good too. I do not drink beer so that is not going to help you all but the owners spoke to me about how they make it. It is actually fascinating. The staff is friendly and really good. The prices are right where they need to be. The only thing I have not liked about TB was the sauce on the pizza… no flavor at all.

I’ve never been to Pine, Arizona. But after sampling THAT Brewery at the Local First Fall Festival… well. I need to make some changes in my life. Priorities! Michael eagerly helped us sample four beers. Strawberry Blond Blacked Out IPA Chai Stout AZ Trail Ale Yes, I often say«I’ve never met a beer I don’t like.» This time it *really* was true.(And not because I drank so many. A-H-E-M.) Usually one to reach for a dark beer first — and continue drinking that one — I let my rubber arm fold and tried my drinking friend’s strawberry blond. Holy heck. And that is how we decided to try all four beers. We learned that the Cottonwood tasting room is now open. The HH are 3−6pm(W-F) &4 – 6(M-F) in Pine. Beer, Beer, BEER! It sounded super neat. Family friendly, volleyball court(I’m short, so I’m sure I’d just watch) AND they have ice cream. You just have to feed me. I will come. But wait. This is why I will come. They have cabins for rent. I heard that over the beer. Good beer. Nice guy. Thanks Michael!
