A little country charm goes maybe a little way. The winery is lost in the fruit and vegetable business. However, they had many great wines to taste with no lack of variety. The staff could use some education on their wines. We left a good stop of tasting wines and apples!

This is a small mom and pop winery way out in the middle of nowhere. There are cows, trees, and corn. That’s about it. Seriously. It’s in Pine Grove, PA and is more known for their fully operating dairy farm and produce market. They’ve grown and sold wine grapes since 1999, but finally decided to start making their own wine in 2004. I was pleasantly surprised by their wines and loved that I could shop for farm eggs, produce, and more! Their Traminette, one of my favorites, is semi-sweet white wine, delightfully lush with abounding notes of crisp apple, juicy peach and pineapple, and a touch of slick honeyed green apple on the finish. They’ve won several awards for their wine, most notably their Norton’s. I fell in love with Ebo, their young German Shepherd. A gem in the country!
