Hurricane River Cave

If you’re looking for a cave exploration, this one is the way to go! We have been to quite a few caves in Branson and the surrounding area, and most are a disappointment. But here we got to climb to a look out at least one story high, plus we saw at least a dozen little bats and a salamander! Absolutely beautiful. It took us about an hour to go through. You get to go on your own with no guide, unless you want to let the owner’s dog accompany you. His name is Lucky and he’s great company. The dog that is. I didn’t catch the owner’s name, I’m an animal person. The owner is a character though! Stay and chat with him awhile if you have time. He’s full of magic tricks and local knowledge. There is also the option of an extreme cave tour that takes 3 to 5 hours where you ride in a boat and walk through the mud, but we didn’t opt for that.
