This place was truly bad. I gave it a second chance and it was not bad. The taste was just like any other chines food place

Food is 3 stars. Service is 2 stars. Just like previous posts, they left out items. Given the frequency, they must do it on purpose. I read back the order, she said yes, and when I checked, I was short two egg rolls and had no fortune cookies. If you STILL decide to eat here, double check your order!

As the first to review this restaurant and give it high marks in 2009, I’m sad to say that it isn’t doing nearly as well under the new management. The menu is the same, but they keep«forgetting» to put everything in my take-out orders, getting it right only once out of maybe a half-dozen times. In addition to that, their English is very limited, making it hard to communicate. For example, when they first took over, I asked, «Where’s Sheng?»(who, along with her husband, was the previous proprietor), and got back a blank stare. Apparently, I’m not the only one who is underwhelmed by the new management: the place is empty of customers almost every time that I go by.

The food here is usually pretty good. My only issue has been the service. I called and placed an order, but when I got home we were missing an item. I called them back and the girl«forgot» the item. It was just frustrating because we don’t live close.

I ordered my favorite dish, chicken lo mein. It was at least as good as any I’ve had before, and the price was fair. I plan on returning.

My go-to chinese place when I’m visiting my parents’ house. Good food, very fast service, and very reasonable prices. There are a good number of tables and it’s pretty quiet for a takeout place, so eating in is actually a pretty good option. Especially love their steamed dumplings and egg drop soup, but everything is well-made.

Gao Sheng is very solid american-style chinese takeout cuisine. Everything I’ve had there has been spot-on. Good shrimp, good vegetables, good tofu… Inside, there are some booths with hard benches, but the décor is welcoming, so eating there is pleasant enough… Probably the best place around to get a lunch with some vegetables.

My family are regular customers here because the food is tasty, consistent, and totally reasonably priced. I always get the Garlic chicken combo plate(comes with a spring roll and either white or fried rice), but I’ve tried some others, and they’re all good. It’s typical American-Chinese food with portions big enough where I have enough for lunch/dinner the next day. If you’re in the area, check it out!
