I don’t give anything a 5 unless it’s out-of-this-world spectacular. With that said, it definitely gets a 4. I’ve been to many dinner shows and this is def in my top 3(the other 2 being The Pirate Dinner Show and Treasure Tavern, both in Orlando). I hate twangy banjo music(and anything country, really, so I was a little skeptical about the show) so some of it was a little annoying, especially the girl who was yodeling. I do love clogging and tap dancing and they danced their behinds off. That was definitely entertaining. I read reviews prior to going. One guy was mad about everything… from the food to the guys«messing up» and«not being able to recover from it» when it was actually part of the show. My husband and I(and most of the audience) seemed to think that part was funny. I thought the food was pretty good. The soup is great to put on the chicken and potatoes. The chicken was not dry at all, even the breast. The pork needed a little more flavor but that’s what the BBQ sauce was for. The corn was over cooked for my liking but how do you please every individual when there are several hundred people? I loved the seating there. You get your own table vs other dinner shows where you’re sitting with several people. Our waitress was sweet. Would I go again or recommend it? Absolutely!

Very mediocre show. The food was ok, but nothing special. The Dixie Stampede was a much better value food and entertainment wise. While in line for breakfast at my hotel I heard 3 couples talking about how the show was just not funny. The dancers and musicians were very good, but the storyline was dull. They really try to push extra sales, photos, DVDs and moonshine. We will not be back.

So I’m giving this the extra star for the performers, who are really talented and gave it their all. The other extra star was for the decorations outside — cute!!! That second extra can be shared with the food — pretty decent for a theater dinner. The waitress was rude, rude, rude. We walked in at the time on the ticket(said 5 pm, so we had no idea we were supposed to get there earlier than the ticket said) and she said we were late, threw down the food, again, rudely — said YOUARELATE, although it was slightly before 5 and said«banana puddin’ or chocolate puddin’?» That was about it. Then they told us how much to tip those wonderful waiters and waitresses. I did see other servers much friendlier! I guess we got the bottom of the barrel or someone who couldn’t understand that we didn’t do this to HER??? Anyway, she kinda ruined our evening.

What a huge EXPENSIVE disappointment. For $ 55 I could’ve went to several other attractions. The show wasn’t that great. the audience participation was funny. But the show itself was corny and they highlight was the tiny malfunction of a delayed sound effect that got both actors into a giggle they had a hard time recovering from. Our waiter was nice and quick. Compared to the waiter on row below us who basically threw the serving containers on their table– i would’ve been pissed had ours done that. The chicken was TOUGH and dry, neither of us finished the one piece. the BBQ was not great. Corn on cob was previously frozen kind that was boiled to death. mashed potatoes were cool not even warm. The soup was tasty and the best thing we had, only it wasn’t hot but instead barely warm. I don’t like the metal stuff you are served with seems that is a bad idea. I don’t know what they are made of. seems more real to eat of the camping type blue speckled type plates and serve them in different vessels. Tea served in regular mason jars with no handles. the chocolate pudding was satisfying. they say its all you can eat but there is no service during the show itself so make sure to get extra serving before that. and if you come late then you might just be out of luck. you can get a moonshine cocktail in a mason jar for $ 8– we didn’t get it. One of the lead singers/actresses who yodeled was annoying by the end. she wasn’t that great and every time she started singling it pained my ears. We were less than impressed and will not go back. Over priced for little entertainment and less than par food. We had such high hopes.

Save your money! This was our first stop on our Mommy’s Only weekend and we were so disappointed it had such high reviews. We started out with some delicious soup then the main course of chicken, mashed potatoes, BBQ pork, corn on the cob, iced tea, and a chocolate pudding with whipped cream. The tea cam in a mason jar with a handle all the food was served on/in medal plates, bowls except the dessert it was in a small mason jar. Our waiter was very pleasant and quick. When he served the food he gave it all weird names. He called the pulled BBQ pork BBQ squirrel we laughed at that. The food was not that good the chicken was dry and hard to chew, the corn on the cob was over cooked, the mashed potatoes were cold, the BBQ pork was ok but we had to add more BBQ sauce to make it better. Before the show started they had Q & A on the screens and when the show stared the one lady hurt my ears and the best part of the show was when there were technical issues and the two guys couldn’t compose themselves from laughing at the delayed reaction. We had a $ 5.00 coupon and spent $ 55.00 for dinner and a show we wish we would not have gone it wasn’t worth the money! This is one thing we will NOT be revisiting on our return!!!

This was our second time at the dinner show. Again, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. It started with a creamy vegetable soup; however, the emphasis was on the cream. Even my picky six-year-old ate it. The two-year-old ate his and finished another bowl. There was also fried chicken, pulled pork, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and rolls. There was a choice of banana pudding and chocolate pudding for dessert. Both were excellent. The show was entertaining. There were a few loud spots that might be a bit much for small children or those with sensitive ears. It stays fast pace. I would certainly recommend!

Wow what a cool place. Had dinner last night with the family and enjoyed ever minute of it. My son who quickly gets bored in these types of things could not take his eyes off the stage. I am sure all the beautiful ladies performing helped with that too. Our waiter did an outstanding job and the food could have not been better. I live in the mountains of NC where we are known for barbecue and this place had barbecue just as good! The show was action packed and funny, and very family friendly. Now keep in mind it was over $ 200.00 for the 4 of us, but you walked away feeling like you got your money’s worth for sure ! Also keep in mind taking a family of 4 to the movies and a all you can eat dinner is almost the same cost. Well worth the money and we will definitely be going back !

Anyone who says it was excellent was just excavated from a bomb shelter made in the 50s. Overall it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t worth the 150 dollars for my wife, son and I. The chicken was very dry and the cole slaw had no taste. The mashed potatoes, soup and pulled pork was pretty good. The«moonshine» aka apple cider and cheap vodka drink was 12 dollars which left me sober and penniless. The show was mildly entertaining but I’m just a millennial who is accustomed to a more Micheal Bay-esque production.

We got free tickets here for 9 of us after sitting through a timeshare presentation. The food was incredible. It’s all you can eat fried chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, rolls, cole slaw, and the best mashed potatoes. We all ate until we were miserable. It was like eating at Grandma’s. We saw the Christmas show. It was cute. The dancing and singing was pretty good. It was a little cheesy and predictable, but the kids enjoyed it a lot, and we all had fun. There just wasn’t anything that wow-ed you like some other shows we have been to. The food was much better though, so it was a good trade. :)

I LOVEDTHISPLACE! The food made this dinner show! I didn’t know until our waiter told us but ITSALLYOUCANEAT! Rolls, the best vegetable soup you’ll ever have, fried chicken, pulled BBQ pork, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and Coke slaw. And for dessert — the choice of chocolate or banana pudding. The food was 5⁄5! But the show… Was alright. Kids will love it, but it’s kinda cheesy. I will go back for the food and the atmosphere — but just a heads up that it isn’t the greatest show.

My wife, daughter, and I really enjoyed this show. First off, it was very organized. The table seating was great for our family unlike the bar seating that we experienced at the Lumberjack Feud dinner show. And we didn’t have to pay extra for my under 2-year-old daughter. The story and performers were great. The food was also delicious– it came out all at once and was fresh. The chicken was good, mashed potatoes were delicious, the potato soup was really good, and the desert was to die for. It was a packed house the night my family attended, and I was very impressed by the number of servers and their ability to handle so much people with ease. I bought this ticket with the Comedy Barn for $ 75/per person and it was well worth it. It was just a great experience. They recommend to tip the servers $ 3.50 per person, which I thought was kind of corny, but I did so happily– because the service was really great!

Dinner, show, service: Show was great, incredible talent and cool atmosphere. Service was great with exception of our server. I thought the food pitiful(overcooked & tasted extremely processed/not fresh) but the other person thought it was pretty good. We were rushed through our meal – get there early if you are going to eat, very early if you plan to take advantage of the ‘all you can eat’ part. I left feeling like my pockets were being picked… from strong tip recommendations to photos & video purchases – in which you are included. I’d go back for the show but eat before.

I had a decent experience at the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show. However, I wish we had more information ahead of time. First, it’s not necessarily«all you can eat.» It’s only for the first 30 minutes of the show(wish our tickets had told us to arrive earlier!) and if you can manage to get your server’s attention. Our server, Justin, was clearly overwhelmed. He kept refilling our drinks from a pitcher of flat soda and never offered to refill any of our food items. We had to ask for more chicken and even then, he brought us one piece ten minutes later when we had asked for two. Maybe the experience would have been better with a more seasoned server and if we had arrived earlier. We felt rushed and neglected, but the show itself was GREAT!

Food was okay. If you are a vegetarian this is not the place for you. The family did like it. There was all you can eat chicken, however the vegetable soup was limited! Being that is almost all I ate I was hungry ! It’s $ 61.27 per person and it says all you can eat so go early because once the show starts the lights go off and no more food! I was hungry and not happy with the very small portion of soup and some cold hard pasta they served me as the vegetarian serving. Had no flavor and was hard and sticky.

My husband actually liked this show which is shocking! He is a tough cookie when it comes to entertainment but this one was worthy of a compliment! To start you walk up to a building laced with tombstones, hillbilly signage, and laundry hanging in the line. My my my those are BIG panties! Walking in we were greeted by a real life hillbilly! Come to find out, he plays the washboard too. Thick mountain accent and the«look» to go with it. The entry is a shop filled with goods aimed at the tourist and people who have money burning holes in their pocket. The REAL find, however, is the moonshine still fish tank designed and created specifically for this dinner show by Fish Tank Kings! Of course everyone gets their picture taken. A shotgun and moonshine jug are the only props offered. I’m sure that’s due to time and the line of people that must get in. Heads up, the picture is cute but they are printed on a «printer» so the color is off, unfortunately. Seating is stadium style. Hayfields on the audience left. McCoys on audience rights. Floor seating is the best because it’s right at the stage, however, the elevated seats are leveled at perfect heights so no ones head blocks anyone else’s. Saw tables that would seat 2, 4, and 6 people. They are«snug» so if you are large you may want to ask for a table that seats two more than the number in your party.* Tables have BBQ sauce, sweetness, salt, pepper, and place settings. Upon sitting down, a server promptly greets you and takes drink orders. Iced tea, Coke products, water. There was mention of strawberry lemonade from the stage but it was never offered to us. Next comes possum soup in a metal bowl and a basket of bread. Serving size is roughly half cup and honestly tasted like gravy.* next comes metal buckets with: fried chicken(all white meat), pulled pork, mashed potatoes, corn on cob(clearly previously frozen but it was hot!), and coleslaw. Dessert is a pudding cup with whipped cream and crumbled Oreo cookies. There was mention of Apple pie from the stage, but we were not offered any. Peddlers selling beer, moonshine, flags, DVDs, and cow bells come around to the tables. The only high pressure salesman had the cow bells. While dining there is some country music played from the stage. Sets the mood. The kids are called up to dance to a mountain song(great plot to sell DVDs). Then the Kiss Cam and Hug Came go live! FUN and FUNNY! The show was fun! Lots of clapping, knee slapping, and shouting from the audience. Not spoiling the show in my review! Go check it out and have fun for yourself! We were asked to tip $ 3.50 per person for our server.* We left laughing and rehashing parts of the show which ended with a patriotic tribute!

I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars. Fun(sort of), but extremely cheesy! There are a lot of moments where the jokes just don’t work and several where you find yourself laughing because other people are laughing and you just wanna be part of the fun. But there are some genuinely good laughs to be had. This was the Christmas version of their show, so maybe other shows throughout the year are funnier. When you first arrive, several cast members are walking around the lobby/store in full character. Your ticket will determine if you are a Hatfield or a McCoy. We were team McCoy on this night. We made our dinner reservations a tad late, which is probably why we were about as far away from the stage as you could possibly be. Still, the seats really weren’t bad. Our youngest son got called on stage to interact with the cast, so it was a memorable evening for him. THEFOOD Almost immediately after being seated our server greeted us to take drink orders and soon after our meal arrived, which included: * Soup(4 stars) — They actually sell the soup in their gift shop. Good stuff! * Fried Chicken(3 stars) — Juicy, but not very flavorful * Pulled Pork BBQ(3 stars) — Decent, but I’ve had much better. * Corn on the cob(3 stars) — Standard, noting added. * Mashed potatoes(3.5 stars) — Pretty good, but wish they’d provided some gravy or butter. * Cole slaw(2 stars) — I like my cole slaw sweet and this was not. * Chocolate pudding desert(2.75 stars) — Meh, could have done without it. * Sodas/Sweet Tea served in mason jars(4 stars) There is plenty of time to eat dinner prior to the start of the show(provided you arrive on time). Announcements will be made 10 minutes prior to the show letting you know your servers will not be available during the show. IF you have completed your meal, they will clear your table. Also, if you need more of anything, this would also be the time to ask. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The only thing I asked for more of was the soup. Upon entering the auditorium, you will be asked to take a photo. Just before the lights go down for the show one of the cast member will bring the photo to your table for purchase(about $ 20). We declined. — — — — — HISTORY — — — — — THEREALSTORYOFTEHATFIELD’S & McCOY’S A real life feud that dates back to the 1800’s where the more affluent Hatfield’s used their political connections to benefit their family in ways that really pissed off the poorer McCoy’s. However, the feud initially began because one of the McCoy’s fought for the North’s Union army instead of the South’s Confederate army. He was discharged early due to a war injury and was hunted down and killed by a militia that included members of the Hatfield family. Years later, a dispute broke out over ownership of a hog that was settled in court in favor of the Hatfield’s. Sounds fair until you realize the judge was a Hatfield. Testimony was given by a relative of both families and he was later killed by McCoy’s. Then the ultimate happened! A McCoy female by the name of Roseanna began dating a Hatfield and soon became pregnant. Well, the McCoy clan retaliated by captured her lover on charges of outstanding warrants with intentions of taking him to a Kentucky court for prosecution. The Hatfield’s were having none of that and came in force surrounding the McCoy’s to take back their kin. Although he impregnated the McCoy girl, he left her in favor of another McCoy, her cousin!!! Can you say DAAAA — YUUUM! Scandalous!!! In the years to follow, almost a dozen deaths occurred between the families as they took opportunities of revenge! So much so that the governor of the state got involved. At the climax of the feud, the Hatfield’s surrounded the McCoy’s and open fire on one of their homes and set it on fire. This was known as the 1888 New Year’s Night Massacre. They shot the two children and left the wife for dead after a severe beating. The husband escaped and coincidentally, the Hatfield’s escaped prosecution for this crime. Well, for a little while that is, until the case was reopened years later. All in all, it goes down as one of, if not THEE ugliest family feud in American history. — — — - FINALTHOUGHTS The cost of tickets for our family of four would have been just over $ 200. However, we sat in on a 90-minute time share presentation to get free tickets(yes, I’m cheap!). Our time share presentation was scheduled for 2 pm(actually didn’t begin until 2:30) and we were still able to make it to the show by 4:45pm. It was totally worth it for less than 2 hours of our time, but I’m not sure I would be willing to pay to return to this show. Like I sad at the beginning, it’s just a little too cheesy and the food is only average(except that delicious soup). Still, I suppose it does provide some historic education :-) The experience is definitely 3 stars, but could be 4 stars with a few tweaks. Best part of the show was the clogging!
