Our family was staying in a cabin in pigeon Forge. It was our first night in town and we were hungry, so we decided to grab something close. Reading the reviews for boss hogs, we figured we’d give them a try. We called around 7:00 pm and placed our order. To our surprise we were told that the food would be ready in only 15 minutes. Off we went down the long and winding road… …Little did we know that the drive to and from would be the best part of the dinner. We ordered ribs and brisket dinners along with an assortment of sides. I’m writing this review a few days later and most of the ribs are still in the fridge. Even the kid that eats everything, wouldn’t eat the ribs. The green beans were the best part of the meal followed by the baked beans. The brisket was OK at best and the ribs were not very good. The ribs were lacking flavor and weren’t tender. Some may have even been undercooked altogether. Maybe it was just a bad day for them… Not sure, but hard to give anything more than two stars.

I can’t find any other way to start this review but to say, literally that the bbq here ISSODARNGOOD. I’ve been lucky to have had the opportunity to eat a ton of bbq… most from Texas. With that said, I think(as hard as it is to admit.) that this might be my ultimate favorite. What we ordered: –Feed 4 brisket(I highly recommend the sides of baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw!) –2 full racks of ribs(melt off the bone delicious!) The above order fed around 8 of us comfortably, with an extra side of bread that we got free of charge. The service was amazing. They helped us estimate how much to order, what to order, and brought us everything we needed without us having to ask. Highly recommend and waiting for my visit back in this town just for the BBQ!

Friendly service, off the main drag, priced right, delicious food! Start with a heaping portion of slow smoked pulled pork on my bun with just the right amount of what I like to call BARK! The not too thin mustard based sauce has a tangy yet spicy flavor but the spicy goes away and I loved it! The baked beans seem to have a similar sauce and were delicious! The potato salad is sort of a ranch loaded baked potato! So good! The slaw reminded me just the way my grandmother made hers! Finely shredded cabbage with all the right amounts of mayo/vinegar/onion.
