Piedmont Center for the Arts

I want to echo Rebekah T’s words regarding this beautiful space.
I am so glad we made the trip through the Piedmont hills to see some of the work of our artist friend because this is truly a gem of a location. Steps lead up to the building and, once inside, plenty of natural light provides the perfect ambiance for viewing paintings or other works of art. I can only imagine how nice it would be to host or attend a small event in this building and I hope to have a reason to return.

I attended an Art Opening for Melanie Macy at the Piedmont Center for the Arts, last week. As I came here to review the show I noticed that no one has reviewed this beautiful place yet. I was absolutely blown away and if you find yourself in the neighborhood, you should check out what’s going on.
Tucked in the hills of Piedmont is this beautiful event space, the artist’s opening kicked off a summer long art series which is mostly free and great. I loved Melanie Macy’s work and soaked in as much of the beautiful relaxing colors and the textures of her paintings. Some are really detailed with tiny little people that seem to come alive within the painting.
I loved the space, tall ceilings and adjoining rooms and outdoor spaces. Beautiful light fixtures, facilities and grounds. I would think this would be an ideal place to hold an event if they allow that sort of thing. It is already an enjoyable place to check out a free art showing. You never know what can inspire you creatively.
The Calendar of Events varies from musical to open art shows, some events free and others with a small cost.
