There are not enough stars in this rating scale – if I could give Jonathan Payne Photography 10 stars, I would!
I’ve known Jonathan for 5 years – he photographed my wedding and four sessions with my daughter, so far. His pictures are extraordinary, capturing the essence of a person and a moment in time. When friends see photos of my daughter (and they are everywhere in our house) they exclaim, «That is EXACTLY her!» I think that’s because Jonathan prefers to sit back and watch situations unfold and natural expressions occur, rather than to arrange formal portraits. He is modest and unobtrusive. He will say, «I think I got some good stuff,» when actually he takes the most beautiful pictures in the world. Plus, he is the nicest guy you could meet. In short, I would have changed the date, the location, the budget – anything but the groom! – to have Jonathan as the photographer at our wedding.

Jonathan has taken photos of our family over five years — he is patient, creative and an exceptional photographer. He once was able to get photos of my daughter who had a terrible fever — simply magic. I look forward to working with Jonathan and seeing the end results of our photos.
