Had dinner here with some family, we ordered one dozen oysters and a shrimp, abalone, pulpo botana which was delicious, but it took a bit for us to get the food, the plus is that they never rushed us to leave like most restaurants so we enjoyed and got to chit chat which was great, kid friendly too!

The waitresses are so nice and so much fun. I love how they have live bands and karaōke. Totally recommend this place if you’re looking to have a good time.

Came here for friends of a friend celebrating a promotion and it was a busy night because of karaōke. The prices were high, food alright and the margaritas were made with wine. I wouldn’t visit again. The waitress was alright but mainly tended to the male guests. If there were specials I might come again. The location is hidden.

Pricey for what you get. I ordered the 7 seas seafood soup. It looked big! Plenty of crab legs, but one solitary octopus on that sea of celery and carrots. The fish was a little undercooked, and I definitely do not want my shrimp with head, eyes and shell on a soup. Having to peel those suckers is a messy business. It takes so long to peel one by one that the soup itself was cold when I was done with them. On the other hand, the service was excellent and the waitress came every so often to ask if I needed anything. The chips came with a delicious green salsa which was the highlight of the affair. All in all, good intentions but did not deliver. TV on and with volume, but drowned every so often by the loud juke box which apparently has a mind of its own. Annoying. Finally, I came in for a late lunch and I wasn’t made aware of any specials, which I discovered they had by browsing the pictures by other reviewers.

Forget all the reviews more than a month old… New owners are great and so is the service. Food is delicious and there is entertainment Thurs thru Sunday. Give it a chance and you will be pleasantly surprised! Ceviche tostadas were delicious.. and great value. Happy hour prices on ice cold beers are really good, too. Try it out! After meal surprise … They deliver tasty chile flavored peanuts to your table.

Horrible service ! I would never go back. Took about 30min to get a shrimp cocktail and they charge for chips. Worst mariscos place ever. Plus the shrimp cocktail tasted horribly #whackspot

Went on a Monday so the place was dead but the managers/attending were attending us so they gave us a really good service, very friendly, our food was out in no time and the micheladas were delicious, the food was okay, they have a dj playing so I gave another star, and another for the micheladas, service good so another star but I take 2 off due to the prices they charge $ 8 for a michelada??? Thats absurd, the total bill for 4 beers and 2 ceviches was $ 80 oh and $ 5 for an order of guacamole. Wow

Things that are better or just as good as Mariscos Las Sierantas: 1. The splinter that was embedded under my fingernail last night. 2. Playing hopscotch with a 6 year old that refuses to let anyone but her win. 3. Waking up and thinking it is Saturday,(go back to sleep) than waking up and realizing it is Friday and you are late to work but hey at least it is Friday. 4. Finding a left hand turn signal in east LA. 5. Laughing at the dark humor of coca-cola when they give you a share a coca-cola can that says soulmate. Yeah yeah yeah, bitter party of one your table is ready, just stay off my lawn. *shakes cane at those damn kidz Still… I’d rather eat the grande burrito from 7 – 11 than go back to this spot for mariscos. Not horrible like eating Indian curry that smells like the toe fungus on the barefoot waiter at that last try at Indian food, but definitely not good. Anyways… Go enjoy the weekend, just don’t start it at this spot.

Food was okay, had the 7 mares. The service is great considering we were the only patrons. I was disappointed in the Michelada especially when it cost $ 8. Too pricey for the amount and quality of food.

So we show up to experience the Mariachi music that was being advertise. NO mariachi, they had the worst karaōke singers. The sound system was horrible. I order a Michelada and a dozen oysters to start. When the oysters came out I ate 3 of them and then 4th one was milky and very fishy. It was bad! I looked at the remaining oysters and found 3 more bad ones. I got a hold of the waitress and she sent the owner over. He said Dam if there bad why did you wait until you ate 4 of them to complain. I was pissed and told the asshole that i would pay for the drinks and I would be out. I ask him to please cancel my order I do not feel like sticking around. He said it was to late and I had to pay for the full dinner because it was on the grill already. He said fine il writing down your license plate and deal with it later. Any ways the Sheriff showed up and I explained to him what happen, he just laughed and said have a good night. Oysters are my thing. When a restaurant owner tries and bullshit me saying that’s how mexican oysters are? He should be smaked. I know one of the biggest oyster distribution owner in Ensenada.

Shocked that this place has the reviews it does! We were a party of 10 that came here for lunch on Sunday. We should have known since the restaurant only had one other party there at lunchtime and the décor was old and tacky that our experience would be awful. We sat down at 1230 and didn’t get our food until 2pm. Recall my earlier comment about the restaurant being pratically empty. Not sure what the hold up was. We asked for waters for the table and was advised to purchase the water bottles since the free water tastes funny. The first basket of chips were free, but the second basket would incur an additional charge. The main entrees were bland and was incorrectly described as spicy and not spicy. I didn’t like the beans and rice. I never put salt in my food, but I had to this time, plus added salsa all over. We eat out weekly on Sunday for lunch in the area. We experience a lot better than this restaurant and we will not be coming back.

Soooooo… was actually at «no regrets tattoo shop» making an appointment and of course seen a picture of mermaids next door and rushed in because in my head its a sign for sea food… beers/seafood just makes sense… My buddy and I rolled in for a bucket and cold seafood… our server«Laura» was a pretty and polite doll. understand when ur hanging around my buddy danny u cant be around unless u practice self control and patience because he criticizes all day. Anywho what we ordered wasnt nothing complicated that can be screwed up unless its bad. I had a tostada mixta(mixed seafood). He happens to have what I call«marijuana appetite» so he had tacos de Assad and shrimp… the sauce and the way they prepped it was bombbbbbbbbbb… trigure d old thoughts n his mouth. laura and the owner were so niceeeeeee… they were polite and super funny. its a spot where I felt as if I was royalty. thats the best feeling a customer can experience, then again maybe they recognized that I am royalty… lol(jk) but anywho a man likes to feel as if he is respected and appreciate d… again as I always say customer service is huge in my eye. so many waiters and waitresses lack a smile and a little persona… I recommend this spot if any1 needs a little vent time and a smile. cheers#beerMe

Cool spot. Came here based on a friend’s recommendation. The food was good and the beers were excellently priced. They have karaōke here which is cool. Almost everyone in there seemed to know each other so I assume they are regulars. They owner [I’m assuming] came to our table and asked how everything was and how we found out about this place. that was cool of her to do. We will back if we are in the mood for mariscos and karaōke.

Karoake mexican status. No bar to sit at, so bascially more of just a restaurant. A lot of older people(40 and up) Beer and margaritas flowing. Very attentive service though. We came here on a Saturday night since we always see a lot of cars around the spot on the weekends. And now i know why. 4 stars for the comic relief on all the bad singing. There was probably two people who could actually sing pretty good. Otherwise, the rest… funny stuff. I would love to go back and try the food though. There beer was great though.

Excellent food here. I had the shrimp tacos and the chile rellenos. Both were great. The basics were great. Rice, beans, and salsa. Staff was also friendly. I will definitely be back

My sister and I were out and about town on a Sunday night looking for a decent Mexican food place. We ended up in this place pretty much because it was open. The moment we stepped in we were greeted by the waitress with a smile. It happened to be a karaōke night so the vibe of the place was very fun. Our orders were taken very fast. We decided to get our standard dish in a seafood place«Ceviche tostadas» to start off and a whole fried tilapia to share… Now usually, in a standard seafood restaurant before my sister can even take a bite of the ceviche I have to prepare it for her by adding lots of lemon and tapatio to hide the taste of fish. However, in this place she ate the ceviche without even looking at me seeing this I was immediately intrigued to try mine. The fish was so fresh and juicy it seemed as if it had just been made and it was not bitter at all. I have a big problem with whole fried tilapia that is not cleaned properly… because it affects the flavor of the fish in a drastic way because fish intestines are so bitter. The tilapia in this restaurant was so juicy on the inside but nice and crisp on the outside very flavorful all over… most importantly it tasted fresh and was properly cleaned. On this same night it was one of the guests’ birthday and the staff came to his table with a piece of cake and maracas and noise makers, the karaōke DJ sang happy birthday and we all joined in. The food was so delicious I had to give my compliments to the cook so both the owners came to our table and personally thanked us. I haven’t had such good service in a long time and I am definitely planning on becoming a regular. Went back a few weeks ago for breakfast, the service was excellent as always. This time I tried the menudo and it was disappointing, it had no flavor whatsoever… so as a tip I would recommend you stick to seafood which is their specialty.

Decent seafood. But what really brings you back is the service and atmosphere. Banda Sundays are the best! Live banda, mariscos, and some beer… Can’t ask for a better Sunday. Highly recommend it. Chill ambiance and even better if you come in a group. Add some laughs! :-) Minus one star because it is pretty crowded at times and because I didnt like their aguachiles. :-) Everything else was great, however.
