I went into this Shell station real quick to pick up some Bud Light Strawberitas and the cashier advised me that I could not purchase them since it was Sunday and that Strawberitas fell under the«wine» category. She advised me that I could only purchase beer since it was Sunday. I went back to the cooler and grabbed some Red’s Apple Ale. The cashier proceeds to tell me that ale is considered«wine» as well. I advised the cashier that an ale is a beer and not a wine. The cashier then grabbed her manager who sided with the cashier and advised me that she could not and would allow me to purchase the ale since it fell in the«wine» category and that it was against the law. Hmmm — what is the definition of ale? Ale — Ale is a type of BEER brewed using a warm fermentation method, resulting in a sweet, full-bodied and fruity taste.[1][2] Historically, the term referred to a drink brewed without hops.[3] I think that these ladies need to be educated a little more on alcohol before working on a Sunday and turning down customers.

These are THE absolute worst owners of gas stations known to mankind. Several of their pumps regularly do not work or require finagling to handle rewards and pump. I leave frustrated every time I come here. If it weren’t for my fuel rewards and the proximity to home, I’d never return. They’re the same owners as the Grandview sunoco and that location is no different. Everything is half assed and falling apart.
