This is a family favorite and we go here pretty often! It’s very consistent, moderately priced and so delicious! Delicious salsa!

The food was really good, they were packed but we got seated right away and the staff was very nice. The food came out quick, it was our first time here and we will be back.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. It is the top of our list of Mexican food. The servers all are genuinely friendly and attentive. My wife’s favorite is the Vegetarian #7(mushroom quesadilla) not because it is vegetarian(which she isn’t), but because the mushrooms have such a wonderful flavor. As many times as she has ordered it, she has never been disappointed with it. My son and I love the Pollo Loco(chicken and chorizo) and the chicken soft tacos with grilled chicken. Whatever food or drink you order, you will not be disappointed.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Columbus. The chile Colorado kicks ass if you like some spice. Go on Wednesday nights when there is live music and ½ margaritas for the ladies.

Has been for years Pickerington’s best kept secret. Great authentic food, usually served within 20 mins of ordering. Great lunch special prices also. I have been eating there for years.

Wow, there goes my low carb kick, let’s see chips & salsa, bean and cheese dip, chimichanga de camarones supremo, and let’s not forget the Mexican coffee with plenty of whipped cream and a generous shot of I have no idea what that was, but Yum! I have to say, typically ordering anything with shrimp in a wrapped Mexican item of any kind, whether it is a burrito, enchilada, etc, that’s usually not all that generous a portion of shrimp. This is not so at La Fogata, I was pleasantly surprised, would say they were more generous than many Mexican places are with shrimp fajitas! Between the awesome food, great drinks, above average service and the later hours, this is a fantastic choice for after 9PM dining in Pickerington!

After moving to the area, this was the first Mexican restaurant I tried. The service was exceptional and everyone was extra friendly. The food(first visit = vegetarian plate; second visit = mixed grill fajitas) was very good. The fajitas were enormous. My partner ordered the chicken fajitas, but didn’t like the seasoning. As such, we have not been back, but I would happily go again.

went here last night for dinner with the family and it was pretty good, our sever was the sweetest and made sure we were happy. I didnt care for my entrée, but hubby loved his. i didnt realize mine had corn tortillas as a base :(, but he said he had the best quesidilla ever. the kids picked over their food, which is normal, but our 9 year old loved her burrito

This is the best Mexican food around. I travel for a living and dine out often and this my «go to» place when I’m home. The Chili Colorado is amazing, the chips and salsa are off the hook. Been here at least 100 times and had one meal that was just so-so, but then again, I’ve not tried everything. I’d give it 6 stars if I could, if you know food, you will love this place. If your a fan of bland boring chain food, this is not for you.

A very good meal for a reasonable price. We had a table of 8 people with normal to above average size appetites and all of us had leftovers! I will definitely return to this restaurant

Me and hubby did a pick up order. I got 4 shrimp soft tacos he got 6 hard beef tacos. And I got a so sopapilla can’t spell it it’s a dessert. To start it was super loud in the background when I called I had to repeat myself a few times. And they lady didn’t understand what beef tacos were even after I said not steak she was like chopped or shredded beef !!! I was like ground beef. So then when I went to pick it up I seen all the noise was a live band so I understood that. But then it was so busy I almost got over looked if I wasn’t a loud chick lol! Cuz I’ll grab ur attention lol! Anyways then they couldn’t find my order cuz they didn’t write/type my name on it after she asked for it. Then it was not shrimp but steak tacos & it said 2 hard tacos & my dessert. I was instantly pissed but I re and re read the receipt and noticed how tacos came up 2 in one order the it said(3) so common sense 2×3=6 ok and then I figured because shrimp tacos are more than beef(duh) they rang it up as steak the next expensive item ok! But when I got home my hubby’s tacos fell apart he was pissed and mine only had 4 shrimp in each tacos. Needless to say it was ok but tummy didn’t think that next day lol! so I will not be going back because el Porto gives like 6 – 8 shrimp per taco I get yes it’s a lil higher in price but worth it. Sorry LOSTMYBIZ and we tip even in take out if ur nice! Ijs

We love it. Always go to the Pickeringtin one. They know us so well and are treated like friends. Great food always extra to take home. I love in the summer they grow the peppers and tomatoes outside around the building.

There are two reasons to go to La Fogata: #1 You think mexican food should always involve ground beef and nacho cheese. #2 You hate yourself and are looking for a way to express that by damaging the inside of your body. I have been drug here against my will by my coworkers several times and it is gross. Its lazy and boring. The enchiladas came out as basically a bowl of soup and even though I ordered a chicken tamale they sprinkled ground beef on top anyway because screw it, Beef. The chips were fine.

Almost two years later, I gave this place another try. I had been craving Mexican for while, and tonight’s meal was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Vegetarian Enchiladas and my husband had the #1 Vegetarian meal. They both were very good… The rice has seemed to improve… Not dry at all. I would have appreciated for the veggies to have more of a kick, but it definitely had flavor. The chips really hit the spot as well with the salsa having the perfect amount of sass. The atmosphere is relax, and the food is CHEAP! Cheap in price, but not cheap in quality. The drinks are strong! Overall, this was a much better experience compared to the previous.

The boyfriend had been telling my about this Mexican restaurant out in Pickerington, whose name he couldn’t recall, that he intended to take me to as soon as he got the motivation to make the haul«all the way out there». We decided NYE would be a good night to trek from Worthington out east. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience at La Fogata. Perfectly fresh chips and salsa and my entrée – the chimichanga suprema was EXCELLENT. What I appreciated the most was that they didn’t skimp on the shredded chicken in the chimichanga. That baby was stuffed – From first bite to the last forkful. The boyfriend, whose preference is NOT Mexican food, went on and on about how good the burrito rosquero was. For a reasonable extra $ 1.75 he was able to upgrade the entrée to include both chicken and steak. I fully intend to have him take me back and I won’t leave without trying a margarita when it happens. Of course, it would be awesome if the Short North location was as good because it sure would be closer.

What?! I can’t believe I’ve failed to review this joint all the many times I’ve ate here! A personal fav when on the east side of town and craving Mexican. Always fresh and hot dishes! Also like the chips and salsa they give while waiting for the food. Good vibes here. TVs placed trough out for sports games(soccer!!), and Mexican wall hangings/decorations. Service is always prompt and courteous, too. Our waiter was very polite and FAST. This time round, I got the usual :) Burrito Rosqueto: Flour tortilla with grilled chicken, sautéed with onion, pepper, and extra mushrooms; cheese sauce on top; pico, guac, and rice on the side. Simply put: Fantastic! Great flavors. The dishes here are always hot off the grill ready. And I love the Mexican rice — good flavor, but the spice doesn’t kill it. A great family owned establishment!
