Hey vinyl enthusiats, record collectors, cratediggers all. Pretty sure that staff members of this particular Barnes & Nobles are selling their exclusive David Bowie album at the incredibly high markup on eBay. One of their managers there just informed me that people are selling them online for $ 700 two times while telling me that they will not sell me a copy and that they won’t let me reserve a copy either. Avoid this store like the plague.

This has been on of my favorite locations for years. Loved hanging out with Jenny, Clarence, and the Dream… I’ve had great experiences here from the coffee shop to their customer service. I would recommend this B&N location to anyone.

This is a review update of this location – particularly the café. Although their coffee and selection of pastries seems great, one thing that could turn away laptop customers is that they don’t have outlets. If they do, they must be invisible because I don’t see any. They do have many tables and chairs which is nice cause there’s always a table available. It’s just that if you plan to study with a laptop, you may want to consider a different location. I’ve just read that there’s a new SB opened not too long ago right around the corner. You know where I’ll be next time!

This is a ok Barnes & Noble. It’s not super fancy and cool like the bigger city ones(i.e. Easton, Chicago, Albany, etc.) but it’s still great if you are looking for a book store to tool around in and you don’t feel like driving downtown to the Book Loft in German Village. It would seem that the teeny-bopper problem that used to happen on Friday/Saturday nights has gotten a little better. It used to be over run by kids to the point that browsing peacefully was no longer possible and they had to bring in a cop or two just to stand around and remove unruly teenagers. I know that many find book stores to be so passé since they all have their ibook readers, but I’m behind the technology curve and still have to hold a «heavy» book and turn pages(which i’d rather do then hold a hot tablet in my hands). They still have a great book selection, they have a Starbucks inside, they have some really neat and interesting boardgames, and they have ridiculously over-priced movies and cd’s(I don’t know who buys cd’s anymore but someone must as they still stock them). I pass on the over-priced movies and cd’s but the games are cool and worth a browse(they have many Munchkin games. WOOT!) and I do like a coffee while sitting around books so even though this place is not some multi-tiered monument to books it’s still a great place to go and pass some time while waiting for a movie or just for browsing sakes.

Once Barnes and Noble opened a location down the street from my parents’ house, I knew I was in trouble. I spend a lot of time(and money) here! The staff is friendly and helpful, but generally leave you to your own devices. It can get very crowded on the weekends, especially in the evening when people come over pre/post movies at the theater(which is in the same complex). The selection is pretty good, but the limited CD selection drives me a bit batty – it can be hard to find things here. And in general Barnes and Noble’s DVD prices drive me crazy because they are so high, but if you’re looking for a Criterion collection or older film, you’ll find it here(just watch for sales, which are frequent). The café also has a good selection of sandwiches, drinks and desserts.

A smaller location that is always busy due to the townspeople. There is always something going on here. Many people meet here and they have classes and community fund raises. If you find a seat don’t let it go, they are rare.
