Great pizza crust and I usually seek out and brick ovens. I really wanted to love this local restaurant but unfortunately the flavor is too bland for my family’s tastes. I have visited twice, spaced apart by several months just to be sure.

After eating at a very sub-par wood-fired pizza restaurant in Conshohocken last night and complaining the whole meal about how«This place isn’t a quarter of what Vecchia is,» I decided I should contribute to the praise here. I’ve eaten at Vecchia four or five times, and it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had, hands down, no joke. The ingredients are phenomenal, and are not skimped on, either; if you’re sick of ordering margherita pizzas that have three or four sad dollops of mozzarella trying to cover six slices of pizza, Vecchia is your place. The staff is great, as well, and you can tell they take their product seriously. I could go on, but suffice it to say, I want these guys to cater my funeral.

This is very good pizza. The service was friendly and attentive to our needs. There is very much a family environment. Our pizzas came out shockingly fast. We came for the $ 5 cheese pizza special. This is quite outstanding pizza. The cheese and sauce are just right. The cheese tastes just like the pies in NYC. It’s oozy yet still maintains a solid bite. The sauce is just the right balance of sweet, acidic, and savory that tomatoes naturally embody. The dough in the majority of the pizza is very good. It’s chewy and soft and a does a phenomenal job absorbing the dressings of the pie. The dough is quite thin so as to allow the flavor of the toppings to play first string. I like that. The one piece of this puzzle preventing me from canonizing Vecchia’s pizza as a 5-star was the crust. It just lacked flavor, crisp, and chewiness. It really just tasted like white bread. That aspect held me back from truly exclaiming this is «as good as it gets.»

Best pizza in town! Always fun to go to for a quick bite of pizza. Not super heavy, kind of like a delicious before-dinner snack. A little pricy for the amount of pizza, but well worth it.

Three stars only for fast service and good flavor. The employees were neither friendly nor rude, just indifferent. Very chewy, hard to swallow crust. The flavor was good, but the value is awful. $ 15 for a few droppings of mozzarella and several basil leaves is ludicrous. For the same price I could get crust, sauce, basil & mozzarella from Trader Joe’s and have 4 pizzas that taste better.

The Covaccino is delicious! House salad is simple and good with sweet balsamic dressing. My husband and I split the pizza and salad for lunch and left happy and sated.

Awesome pizza. Definitely my favorite pizza in Phoenixville. You can take-put but the pizza is best fresh from the oven. The sauce and cheese are superb! Note about $ 5 cheese pizzas on Mondays, you need to mention it or you don’t get the $ 5 price(at least in my experience).

Spectacular pizza! Covaccino with arugula, prosciutto, & shaved parmigiana was incredible! Crust was chewy & delicious coming out of the wood fired oven. Fresh tasting ingredients & excellent service.

Like the sign says, wood-fired oven pizzas are served here, and they do a superb job. The chef is young, but extremely skilled. We went for the deluxe entrée called the covaccino pizza — a delicious base of baked mozzarella and garlic, topped with a generous portion of arugula, prosciutto and shave Parmigiano-Reggiano and a drizzle of peppery olive oil. This was truly heaven on a plate. For this dish alone, I will return. But there are more pizzas to try here. Everything is made to order, yet the food arrives very fast. The place is spotless and welcoming. This is a local gem.

I just ate at Vecchia for the first time. I ordered the Corvaccino Pizza which I split with my roommate. Pizza came out very fast and they didn’t skimp on the toppings. There was lots of Parmesan, arugula, and prosciutto, with olive oil drizzled on top, yet not greasy at all. The pizza was fantastic; the light and savory crust was my favorite part. Word to the wise: I think that most adults could finish a whole pizza. Consider the size when you are ordering because the pizzas aren’t huge. They are very true to their name and style: Napoletana Pizza. If you are looking for a giant, sloppy pie, like that of NY or Philly, covered with grease, then you will be very disappointed. But if you are looking for incredible artisan pizza, deep in flavor, like that found in Italy, you will love this place. Very fresh. Very delicious. 10⁄10 would visit again!

Amazing pizza, all cooked in this little brick oven, with cheeses imported from Europe. It’s a BYOD and great for kids. The pizza is Neapolitan so each person needs their own pizza and then you can all share. Strongly suggest a visit to this place if you love pizza!

I am not from the area but needed to grab a quick bite to eat with my 8yr old. Should have gotten the plain margarita for 10 bucks vs the«Regina» specialty with buffalo mozzarella but the waitress talked me into it. Pizza came out piping hot and extra quick which was great! So hot that the small bits of cheese slid right off the top when trying to place the slices on our plates. Not impressed at all with the«Regina» and its hefty price. The sauce was good but barely any basil and buffalo mozzarella on the very small pie. I also could not tell much difference between this type of buffalo mozzarella and normal fresh mozzarella so I guess buffalo and cows milk is pretty similar. Might be good on one of their speciality nights with a deal but definitely not worth 15 bucks for a small pie with very thin crust.

You MUST go for the $ 5 pizza special on Monday nights! An absolutely delicious, thin-crusted, perfectly spiced pie at a fantastic price. You may think you’ll have some leftovers to take home, but I can guarantee you won’t be able to stop eating till your pie has vanished. Location is über-convenient, right in the heart of fun, lively downtown Phoenixville. The restaurant itself is small, but bright and cheery with a glass storefront window. Watch the pizza chefs at work, right down to sliding them into the beehive wood fire and out again after a quick bake. Definitely NOT your run-of-the-mill pizza joint!

My fiancé’s family and I went here last night as a group, and everyone raved about it! We’ll definitely be back again, for many reasons. First of all, the whole place is authentic. Seriously. From the pizza sauce and flour to the buffalo mozzarella, everything is from Naples(via Baltimore). They even brought masons from Naples to construct the pizza oven. Second, they know how to cook a pizza Napoletana reallllllly well. I lived with a guy who spent a couple of years managing an authentic«pizza Napoletana» restaurant. You have specific requirements for thickness of dough, sauce, heat of the oven, ingredients, etc. I spent many meals eating at his restaurant… and Vecchia is better! The crust has a crunch on the outside and an awesome«tug» when you bite. Perfect amount of sauce and ingredients. Last but not least — THEPRICE. Monday specials include a 12″ Margherita pizza for FIVEFREAKINGDOLLARS. That’s seriously unreal regardless of the pizza, but something of this quality makes it truly incredible. I plan on getting fat eating here, and you should too.

Simply delicious pizza. The place is warm and nice with very friendly stuff and fast services. The menu is very small with barley no topping choices and you can also order a side of salad. Keeping this place simple is what makes it outstanding.

Pizza is awesome, unique, delicious. Pies are great to share with friends but you can eat a whole pie when you are real hungry. Servers are hit or miss… sometimes they are attentive and sweet /other times they are lackadaisical. Pizzas are smaller than our standard american pies… but they are fresh, authentic and fun. The TV in the dining room is loud and awful. It kills the ambience. When the TV is off and Frank Sinatra is playing on the speakers the place is magic.

So I tried the place in Wayne and was not super impressed. Since I was working in Phoenixville today I decided to give the original a try. I was surprised to walk in on a Friday in Lent and find the place empty. I grabbed a table and ordered the special margarita with the buffalo mozzarella with half anchovies. Once they started cooking the pizza it was done in just a few minutes. The wood fired oven and«kitchen» is right there in the front of the restaurant so that is pretty neat. I was able to watch them make my pizza which was pretty neat. About the pizza: It was the fastest I ever got a pizza from oven to plate! It was piping hot of course as you would expect. The pizza was very thin and the dough was good. I have read other reviews that complain about the buffalo mozzarella being watery and watering the crust/sauce down. I see what they are saying, although in my case eating the pizza right away it had little effect. If I was ordering take out I could see it getting soggy eventually. The sauce was pretty good, the fresh basil I think makes the pie. At the end of the day my experience was better than the visit to the Wayne location, however eating there vs take out makes a difference. This was good simple pizza made with good ingredients. I still have a complaint that they do not have a website that you can see the menu. I also stand by the fact they are pricey for sure! A 12″ pie for $ 15 could be hard to swallow for some. I did see some facebook posts about specials on certain nights which make the pizzas WAY more affordable. Final thoughts: I would eat here again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t consider it a «destination» pizza place. Especially considering I see review after review mentioning that the place closes hours early all the time.

Perfect spot for a quick slice! Pizza made from scratch that is simple and delicious. The owners bake your pie in an authentic brick oven that takes less than 10 mins for them to make, bake and serve. Service is friendly and quick. I can’t wait to go back :)
