worst driving range in america… 1. incorrect yardages(very off) 2. uneven mats/lies(very annoying, and a huge pet peave of mine) 3. rain shelter is so full of holes you might as well hit balls in the rain(literally) 4. terrible grass area(more like crab grass at best) 5. terrible purchase system(you need cash and exact change) 6. almost never an attendant 7. DIRTY, cracked balls(no washing system) 8. benches are literally falling apart(i sat on one and it almost broke under me) 9. attendants are not helpful and not friendly 10. parking lot is full of pot holes. easily could damage your car. 11. wooden barriers are falling apart(due to termites i think) i will always feel bad writing reviews like this, however, it’s a consumer’s right. I will revisit this range in a few months, if it improves, i will write a new review. If nothing has changed, this review stands.

A decent grass range in an area where there would otherwise be nothing. The grass area is much larger than the number of stalls with mats, which is great. There is a lot of room to roam and have a nice little area all to yourself. They also use mostly«real» balls — basically just a hodge-podge of found name-brand golf balls with some range balls mixed in. This can be good or bad, depending on your point of view. If the balls were all the same type and age, then you should theoretically get a more consistent result and be able to guage the relative distance better. On the other hand, range balls don’t fly quite as far, or have the same feel as a «real» golf ball. Pick your poison, I guess. Most of us aren’t that dialed in at the range anyway. I visited in early September and the ground was pretty hard and a little dusty — that said, there was plenty of grass to hit off of. The grass was a decent length, not exactly fairway short, but not too long like some grass ranges tend to be. The range itself is flat and open, so you can really see where your ball is landing and get a good feel for trajectory since it doesn’t slope too much any one way. If you hit the ball a long way, you’re probably limited to irons or possibly fairway woods on this short range. The fence is average height, but the base of it is only about 250 – 260 from the back of the grass tees. The facilities are modest at best. If you have to use the bathroom, they technically have one, but don’t expect much. They sell water and gatorade for a reasonable price, but there isn’t any place to sit down/cool off inside. There are a ton of crappy clubs in a barrel if you don’t have your own. Supposedly they offer lessons, but I don’t know anything about rates or teaching skill. My biggest gripe has got to be the yardage signs… they are WAY off. If you’re a golfer at all, you already know that you can’t trust the yardage signs at a driving range. I’m well aware that if you really want good numbers, you need to use a laser rangefinder, so it’s not a big deal. But I was hitting from the back edge of the grass range and while I don’t recall the exact differences, I’d say the signs were exaggerating by as much as 20 – 25 yards.
