AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Our family was there twice in one week with Strep, and the staff was efficient and friendly from the moment we walked in. Both times we were seen quickly and the doctor was knowledgeable and took great care of us. So glad to have an alternative to our normal doctor’s office which is next to impossible to get an appointment with!

Couple weeks ago on a random weekday night at about 7pm I decided it would be a great idea to stab at an avacado pit to get it out and ended up stabbing my palm instead. It was a nice deep cut and the wife prodded me to go to this establishment. They were closing in about 30 minutes but Dr. Wagman and his staff were pleasant and accommodating and stitched me up with 3 stitches! 35 years old and first time I ever had stitches, if and when I decide to stab myself again, I’m coming back here!!!

Excellent service from beginning to end. I’m picky and hate hospitals, this place is now my go to care center!

Super fast, friendly staff with very thorough doc. I arrived first thing on a Saturday morning with a severe allergic reaction. Within 5 minutes, the friendly front desk staff had all my paperwork completed, the MA had taken my vitals, and the physician was in to see me. They even electronically sent my prescription to my preferred pharmacy, which was waiting when I arrived. I work in healthcare and was super pleased with the speed, efficiency, and friendliness of this group. Would highly recommend them if you or your loved ones aren’t feeling well!

So pleased with my experience at AFC Phoenixville. I’ve been sick going on 3 weeks and my doctor’s office has been slammed so they told me it would be faster to go to an urgent care facility. I’ve never been to one, so assumed I would be in there as long as an ER visit. I was immediately registered, they took my insurance, I paid my normal co-​pay and then sat down to wait. I barely hit the seat when the nurse called me back to do my vitals and put me in a room. Dr. Wagman knocked on the door about 2 minutes later! He was fast, efficient and very personable. I’m still stunned I was in and out the door in under an hour. The front desk staff and the medical assistant were very nice as well. I’m so happy to have another option for healthcare in a pinch and will highly recommend you. Thank you!

New to the area… whole family gets sick… I packed us into the car and brought us into the Doctors Express Urgent Care in Phoenixville, based off of a quick Google search with reviews– which Doctors Express had favorable reviews on Google; I guess Unilocal customers haven’t had the same experience. I was not disappointed and am glad we went in. We were taken in quickly, the staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, despite my kids coughing and generally being sick. They even turned on some cartoons for us while they processed the paperwork and got us back there; that was wonderful in that we were all sick and it made my kids’ a little happier. We were seen very quickly by the doctor and she was very pleasant and took a lot of time with us, asking us all of our symptoms.
In short, I was nervous to go to any Urgent Care, but Doctors Express was great, and we are now on the mend. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Last Thursday evening my daughter hit her forehead head causing bleeding (we were also concerned about a concussion). My wife and I went back and forth wondering if it needed stitches. I looked it up on WEBMD and they suggested we seek treatment. So we quickly made it over to AFC –Urgent Care in Phoenixville.
We arrived a few minutes later.
I was notified immediately (without the doctor evening looking at the gash), that they thought it was cosmetic and we needed to seek treatment elsewhere. I was shocked because the doctor did not even approach us to exam the wound.
I shared this story with several friends. They were not surprised as they had similar experiences with Urgent Care facilities. We went to AFC to help us reduce our costs, instead it caused more stress.
I did not want to pay (a co-​pay) at the emergency room, however I am glad we did. The nurses and doctors were outstanding at Phoenixville hospital. They made my daughter feel welcome, better and started the healing process. (the exact opposite of the experience at AFC).
If you have a true emergency and it is urgent, go to the emergency room.

My wife had an unpleasant experience with one of the staff members on our first visit here. We had made our complaint known at the time of the visit, received an apology from the staff member and left.
The next day my wife received a call from the owner with a personal apology and an invitation back to the office so he could apologize in person. We are very appreciative of the professionalism we have been shown in them trying to make this right for us as it changed our opinions dramatically.
The office itself was very clean, well lit and has some games and toys for children. Our wait was very short and my wife fortunately does not have a broken foot. Phoenixville has been needing an urgent care center for some time and while I hope we never have to use their services again, it is a good thing they are here in case we do.

I have been waiting here for over an hour and have yet to be seen. There were only two other patients in the waiting room when I walked in. Staff was friendly and waiting room was clean, but don’t come here unless you have 1 ½ to 2 hours to spend waiting.
