Quick & brief note: I don’t drink coffee but want to give kudos to this location whenever I’ve come here to use the free WiFi while my landline is being repaired, so I can finish my work on my laptop. The employees have been accompanying and don’t mind my spending time here. I guess it is safe to figure that they knew I needed to catch up on my work, right? They keep the place clean and they were nice enough to give me the codes to the restroom– even though I don’t drink coffee ;)

Super friendly employees, quality products and close to my gym… but quite a few individuals asking for money in/out the store. This location is quite near the light rail. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the lot. Atmosphere: Super casual. Plenty of tables and chairs. Some outlets but not tons. Service: The staff at this store are amazing. They are super friendly and chatty. Food: Like any other Starbucks. Drinks: Like any other Starbucks.

I stopped in with my mom for a quick drink run at this Starbucks and we were both impressed with our drinks. The location is great and there is a massive drive thru that wraps around the store. The patio at this location is also huge, bigger than any other Starbucks I’ve been to. The staff all seem nice and competent and our orders were both perfect and given to us quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in at this location again in the future, perhaps to hang out inside or on the cool balcony. This Starbucks also opens 30 minutes earlier than the other location that we tend to frequent, so that’s also a plus. I would imagine this place gets busy in the mornings and the afternoons though, with all of the midtown commuters coming back and forth.

I really tried to give this location a fair shake, but in the last 3 – 4 attempts, I’ve experienced the following… — screwed up orders — orders screwed up even after re-explaining the order(iced coffee with coconut milk? Is it that hard?) — fancy new order screen where you can review and approve your order… if they bothered to use it And, the icing on the cake: — getting stuck in the drive-thru for 30 minutes(no exaggeration) and failing to get as much as an apology from the barista.(But my order was correct!) That last(and final!) time, I actually called corporate from the drive-thru to tell them to get some new management in here, pronto. Props to corporate customer service — they were very gracious and loaded up my gift card in apology. Save yourself the agony and go up the street to 7th Ave & Missouri. Thank me later(maybe I’ll see you there!)

I used to go to this Starbucks all the time, but it was my last visit a couple days ago that concerns me. There are ANTS on the bar where the espresso machine is and where they serve the drinks. And they were there at my next visit. Starbucks, come on. Clean your store and get rid of the ants. That’s disgusting. I’ll be choosing a different location from now on.

The drive thru has a fancy webcam setup where you actually see the face of the person taking your order. He wasn’t very pleasant though. Still, it was your average Starbucks experience.

These guys here are always very helpful and make a very quick and quality drink. I go here at least once a week most of the time and have never had any issues with quality or service. I just discovered the joys of a java chip frappachino and it is probably better when I didn’t know about it because now I will be here all the time for the amazingness. Seriously though come in stop by and check it out.

Drive through service has declined noticeably over the last few months. SLOW! I always have to repeat drink order. They ask, don’t pay attention & ask you to repeat yourself. Drink comes with a layer of unmixed syrup in the bottom? You want me to mix it while driving?

I’m glad there’s a SB near but this one is ridiculously slow. Seriously. How long does it really take. I see the commitment to the drive thru but you totally ousted me because I walked in and ordered. Who waits for a cherry oat bar for that long as well. Apartment I do. Unfortunate experience here. Smh.

I ordered a lime refresher and I swear the lime in it looked like it had been sitting out back in the dumpsters for a few weeks before being put in my drink. On a good note the workers were very friendly.

It would be nice if the treated the customers in the lobby the same as the customers in the drive thru. Maybe since there are less people in the lobby, you get all there orders first. I don’t know.

I love this Starbucks because it’s never overly packed. It’s the biggest Starbucks in Phoenix and it’a very spacious and comfortable. They had to put a code on the bathroom locks because so many homeless people would come to use the bathrooms, some even took showers inside of there. I remember once waiting for a long time to access the bathroom because of that. Now that they put codes, it’s been better. The employees are very nice. About a year ago they had gardening for kids and they had a fundraiser for one of their employees who was sick. I like seeing that it’s one big family. This is one of my favorite Starbucks!

My first visit to this Starbucks and I liked it. A community table in addition to many 2-person tables and patio seating(too hot/humid to enjoy in August). Another successful by-the-book Starbucks.

The upside of this Starbucks is that it has one of the world’s biggest patios. Seriously. It’s an enormous wrap-around patio… like something you’d see on a southern Victorian-style home… oooohhhh now I’m craving fried chicken… I digress. So yeah, they have a pretty bad patio. I mean bad in the Micheal Jackson sense, not in the textbook definition. It’s even full of misters to keep it cool. It’s still a bit toasty to sit out there in the summer though. What I don’t understand about this laptop-dwellers’ paradise is that they have such limited seating indoors. Seriously. Half of the restaurant is empty floor space. Why not jam pack it full of tables and chairs? Back east, that floor space is top dollar… tables are so squeezed into spaces, you sneeze and you hit the guy three tables over. Needless to say, you’ll need to get there early to claim your spot if you want to sit indoors. Or you can brave the elements and sit outside. More tables out there.

Great Starbucks whether you go through the drive thru or inside. I stop by every morning(drive thru). Service is quick and the employees are all really nice. My order has always been correct. The inside is spacious and there is a nice sized patio. It’s always been real clean anytime I have been inside and even if there are a lot of people, it never feels very crowded.

Update: they’re getting better. I got an iced coffee for a day of errands. Although I still prefer to frequent local joints, this was cold and refreshing. The service has also improved. I have gone against my better judgement today by going through the drive thru at the new Starbucks by my house. I try to support local businesses and want to commend SB for retrofitting an old restaurant BUT have some reservations about their ability to be successful based on the service I received. I pulled in behind one car at 3pm on a Saturday and there were at least 5 employees inside with a couple of customers waiting at the counter. I waited 9 minutes at the window after having to repeat my order twice and when I got it home, it was wrong. It was a skinny hazelnut and a lemon loaf, NOT rocket science! To top things off, the guy waiting on me said HE had to make my coffee. What is that supposed to mean?! I know your staff is new and are working out the kinks but I expect more from you. It’s not like you have no competition.

So there is a Starbucks on every corner but each has it’s own unique look and customer service. This was my first visit to this new location. I like the buidling structure. It is quite unique compared to most Starbucks locations that are not attached to other shopping centers. It has this appeal when you walk in that is cozy. very trendy and upbeat but still that relaxing coffee shop we know Startbucks for. The team was mighty friendly. Properly staffed for the amount of traffic I can imagine to walk through the doors. Even though I did not walk in during rush hour there was still plenty of patrons who were meeting or dining. Greeted by the friendly team on staff for the day. My drink was properly made and served with a smile. This location is much larger than traditional Starbucks. Plenty of room to meet a small group inside or outside the venue.
