Dr. Amandeep Khurana from Southwest Kidney is possibly the best doctor you can ask for. The only reason I am rating a low rate is because of his MA. Please understand I am not writing this review for the doctor himself. However, his MA(her name is Mirnia) is extremely rude, irresponsible, and very hard to get a hold of. My dad has been diagnosed with a kidney disease that is VERY rare. Hence his medications cost a lot and his insurance required per-authorization for a few of his medications. For 2 weeks straight Mirnia kept telling us she already sent the pre-authorization approval to the insurance which was a complete LIE. She sent it to the wrong fax number and wrong department(confirmed by a nurse assigned by the insurance). Now you can imagine not being able to take his medication for 2 weeks can do what kind of a damage. On top of that when you call and leave voice mails it takes her 7 days to respond back. And sometimes she doesn’t respond at all. When you do get a hold of her she has a lot of attitude and is nowhere near being helpful. The worst part is she doesn’t even try to help. Its common sense if a person keeps telling you that what you claim to have«taken care of» actually never was done then you should probably double check on where you sent the info and HOW you took care of it. It should trigger you that if it has been two weeks already and we still haven’t received the meds yet from the pharmacy due to the missing pre-auth; then you should send it again. But she completely denied to re-send it. I really hope the SKI Management team reviews this info and takes appropriate action towards her. Her negligence can cause serious problems for a lot of patients.
