I have been coming to Dr. Shapiro’s office for the past two years. I have enjoyed the experience for my past two exams. I felt that both the assistant who did the initial glaucoma tests and my eye doctors were thorough in their exams and took the time to check out all aspects of my eye health. They were also ON TIME with my appts which was a big plus!
Also, they don’t really try to upsell you on expensive stuff you don’t need. The only thing they try to sell you on is some advanced laser eye test or something, which I always decline. On my most recent appt, my eye doctor recommended a new type of lens that just came out that you can wear for 30 days instead of 2-​weeks. She warned me that the price of the lens is more expensive, but it will last longer. In actuality, ordering the new kinds of lenses for a year’s supply ended up being about $ 100 cheaper than buying my previous brand of lenses, so that was a nice outcome!
I like their selection of eyeglass frames. They carry my favorite brand — Kate Spade, and also they are helpful in selecting frames that will look good on your face.
the only negative about this place is that if you order contacts/​glasses, you will have to leave work early to pick them up because they close at 5 pm and are not open on weekends.
