First off I want to say that I’ve been to the other barber supplies and it was not a pleasant experience. Very shady environment and aggressive sale tactics.
However, my experience at Rubinov’s has been completely different. Joe and Mike (the owners) spent almost an hour showing me products as well as recommending razors and blades. I bought a couple of shave sets today for last minute Christmas gifts as well a new razor and aftershave for myself. This is a hidden gem in Arizona and I’m glad I found them.

I stopped here yesterday for the first time, expecting to spend a little money, which I did. The establishment was a bit smaller than I expected, although that is only an observation and in no way meant as a criticism. My only complaint was that I thought the people working there could have been friendlier. Selection was quite good, with prices comparable to those of the popular shaving websites, such as West Coast Shaving — and actually better, if shipping costs are factored in. I recommend it and will be going back myself.

Went to Rubinov’s to actually touch and feel the shaving supplies I wanted to buy. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I walked out with Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream and some ProShave. Will go there again but it is a little bit of a drive from the west east valley.

Terrible, terrible customer service. Ordered 3 shampoo neck rest. Smashed into a small box. One was damaged n I called to let them know. He asked me to take a picture and send it to his cell number which I did after 4 days no responses from him whatsoever. So I text him again still no response. After two weeks one of the other sink rest tore in the middle apparently these were very old Shampoo neck rest that they must have had laying around. Be aware when ordering from this company I will never order again since they have never contacted me.

RUDE ASS immigrants with no people skills work here! Don’t bother going here cause they aren’t much help. And everything in their little shop you can get anywhere else for ALOT cheaper!

May 7 2014 — I purchased a 5.3 oz jar of Taylor of Old Bond Street, Lavender scent, shaving cream because I was explained differences between brands, ingredients, and other factors by staff. I was shown product of different scents and allowed to smell the differences. I was able to make a decision as a consumer because of the detailed explanation of product ingredient differences and reasons behind price differences. Patience with me being new to DE shaving was very much appreciated. My questions were answered completely. I use Crystal brand stainless steel double edge blades since November 2013. They are sharp enough for me! Rubinov’s is a pleasure to purchase supplies from.

Decided to stop by Rubinov’s today, and very grateful I did! I am not a fan of purchasing shaving supplies online, as I cannot smell, touch, of see the product. So I have been going to Art of Shaving due to the lack of a brick and mortar shaving supplies here in the valley. Rubinov’s has a selection that’s atleast 3 times the size and its not all one brand! Many high end English, German, French, and Italian products (Proraso, GEO, Jack Black, etc.), some for less than I was buying the Art of Shaving stuff for! They are very knowledgeable and friendly and are never pushy with their sales. On top of great service and selection it’s nice to support a local family business, that doesn’t have to charge outrageous prices to pay their high Scottsdale Mall rent!
