Friendly staff, lots of options at a reasonable price. Always clean and well stocked.

I quickly zipped in here today to get a few supplies for my home office. All of their employees were VERY friendly and eager to help! I was asked multiple times if I was finding everything ok. They were genuinely interested in me and what I was there for! I was very impressed with their customer service and they had everything that I was looking for so it was a win win. I will be back soon on my next office supply run!

This is not in regards to this store so much as all of the brick and mortar stores. I have an old Epson Stylus CX7800 and needed a yellow cartridge. They did not have individual color cartridges for my printer. they had a 4 pack of all 4 colors. That would have been fine but they wanted $ 69 for it… NOPE! I picked it up on that online auction site we all know so well. In fact I got 2 of each color from 3 different sellers for ONETHIRDTHECOST shipping included. bye bye officemax.

I came to this store to have some items laminated. I waited up front for 10 – 15 minutes before anyone ever came to assist me. One of the cashiers kept yelling over at me, telling me that someone was coming, so I continued to wait. Finally, Ari(who is a manger) came and told me it’d be 1 – 2 hours before it’d be ready, which was not a problem. However, when I returned, my laminated items had extra plastic sticking out @ 6-inches in each direction. I asked them to cut off the extra plastic down to size(which has always been done without asking at other Office Max locations). I was then told that it would cost extra to cut the excess plastic.(However, he laminated my corporate discount card and it wasn’t surrounded by miles of plastic.) So I’m thinking, well, did they charge me for all of that extra plastic? These items were art class drawings, on 11×18 paper, so we’re not talking a life-sized Thor poster board(which I’d totally laminate). So here I am, trying to handle 13 pieces of H.A.M., and being cut all over my hands and arms at every turn. Peeved! THEN I asked him to explain the charges and he couldn’t. I could not get an explanation of what I was being charged for. I am certain that there are consumer laws regulating exactly this sort of thing! I will never spend another dime in this store again. Ever.

So I am torn between this place and staples… personally I think all their stuff is overpriced compared to Walmart, and if you want copy and print services I feel that the 24 hour Kinko’s down the street shits all over them. But overall this place does have a pretty large selection of office supplies, but plan on spending at least 30% more then you would any where else, the only reason I like to go here is because I buy a ton of stuff and the rewards program basically gives me free money but i have to wonder if I am just getting back what I pay them already in inflated pricing… I was originally going to give this place 3 stars but after further thought… this place only deserves two. I can never find a staff member here to help me, and in general the staff seems to walk around like they are zombies. Go to walmart. You’ll save.

Lois in the print center is gold. Always helpful, friendly, on top of it, and composed. This has become my go-to print destination, even when it’s out of the way, because I know I can depend on an easy, smooth experience.

I’ve been coming here for the past 4 years or so and these guys get better by the day! I needed some handbooks made for our company on a very short notice. They were able to take care of my needs and did an amazing job. Since I’ve come back twice and both times the printing department were helpfully and remembered my name.

I always make my trip to OfficeMax first before I try anywhere else. This store is in a great location near 44th St. & Thomas Rd. in Phoenix near the airport. They have great selections on all the office products. Binders, papers, markers, and anything and everything you can think of. They also have great prices as well. If you need to price-match from Staples, Walmarts, Target, and/or any stores, just bring in their ads and show it to the employees, they will gladly match the prices, sometimes even cheaper too. Check them out before you go to other places.

Baby C’s 1st birthday party was this past Saturday. I had a birthday stats chalkboard made up Thursday night and needed it printed out ASAP. Went to the K/FX around the corner and when the guy told me he was pretty backed up and it would be better if he could have it done by Saturday morning. AND… the price was about $ 25, not including tax. I told him I’d think about it. Remembering there was an OfficeMax nearby, I decided to try my luck there. I AMSOOOGLAD I WENTTHERE! Not only was the price for a 16×20 large format print less than $ 20(was going to be like $ 15-$ 16.not including tax), BUT they had it printed out in less than 15 minutes of my arriving there. I decided to have it mounted on foam board and laminated, which was going to up the cost by about $ 15, give or take. STILLCHEAPERTHAN K/FX! I will return if I am ever in need of more print jobs done. :)

I’m giving this Office Max five stars for convenience, friendly service, competitively priced products a stocked shelves. This Office Max is a great in and out shop. On one side there is the detailed supply store and on the office side, there is a complete copy center. It’s open until 9 on the weekdays and they don’t make you feel rushed if you get there at oh let’s say…8:50. In fact, they are helpful! They walked me around and helped me find the random items I needed. The copy center staff was also very friendly. This Office Max has your complete supply of office items but their prices are very reasonable! I purchased the same item at another shop that I did here and it was significantly less expensive here. So on that note, I end my review on Office Max but I will report back with any new findings.

Office Max Sucks-7th ave+Camelback rd. They now have a Ink Toner machine behind the counter to compete with Cartridge World so you can refill your printer ink for less then what hp wants(which is too much). Don’t ever use this service. 3 x I have been in there to replace the cartridge after printing maybe 6 – 7 copies. Called the Manager(Shane) he said they never have any issues with the machine(maybe about 5% come back). He said I must be one of these 5%. Plus ½ the time you go in there it seems like nobody works there. It’s worst then Home Depot where they scramble like cock roaches when they see a customer walking down the isle. Head my advice and use Cartridge World if your looking for toner refills.

Wow, great service at an office supply store! I had to drop in to pick up a few things for work on my way home today. I was in the middle of a phone call with a parent that I couldn’t get off of, so I was that asshole in the store on my cell phone. As I was trying to talk to a parent and find my items. A super nice guy that worked there asked me if I needed help. I asked my caller to hold on a sec, asked him where the item I was hopelessly looking for was. I apologized for not getting off my phone to speak to him, which would have been the polite thing to do. He said nobody had ever apologized for being on the phone while talking to him at the store. I gave me mom credit for teaching me to be considerate. When I am rude I give my dad credit. ;) As I picked up the new items and juggled the ones I already had, I commented I should have gotten a basket. He said no problem, he’d take the items up front and have them waiting for me when I was ready to check out! What? Great customer service, wooohooo! I finished my shopping and my call and went up to the checkout. He was super nice at the check out and even joked around with me. I’ve always had decent experiences at Office Max, but this was downright great. Is the world becoming a better place?
