I wasn’t sure what O.H.S.O.(Outrageous Homebrewer’s Social Outpost) stood for or what to expect but what I do know is that I can’t wait to come back! You don’t find me at a brewery pub very often as I’m not a huge beer lover but the fam was on vacation and the kids couldn’t wait to try out a local brewery hot spot. O.H.S.O. was the perfect lunch spot on the way from the airport to our hotel. If I had to base my review on first impressions I wouldn’t give this place many stars. Just driving by it doesn’t look like much other than a building with a few orange awnings. It’s a good thing we listened to Sara W. who kept reinforcing their backyard and patio area. She was right! On a Thursday over the lunch hour that’s where everyone was. The outside patio area is surrounded with large booths and ample seating. Simply lovely and a fun vibe. There are 40 plus brews on taps but since this is a brew pub there’s wine and other cocktails available too. I have to say our food was delicious and the service exceptional. If you’re a guacamole fan you do need to order that as a starter. Bits of corn and dried cherries in there. Trust me it’s incredible!

The atmosphere and the food are amazing. This place is a great hang out spot that feels upscale but it’s very casual. I had the pleasure of eating the BBQ burger and it was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I came in for brunch on a Saturday. I was looking forward to the sunny patio but it was full. Luckily they have lots of space inside. I don’t mind the free valet either! I like beer and I came with a beer connoisseur so we were expecting great drinks. We ordered the IPA sampler(unique for that weekend) and a pint of the hefe. My overall impression was that the beer is really light and weak, even the IPAs. This is great news if you’re a fan of lagers(think Stella, bud light, Heineken), but disappointing for us. My favorite that we tried was the saison IPA. We also tried the orange blossom beer(Papago brewery) which they sell here, and loved it. I bought some to take home. The food was meh but inexpensive. I would come back for the patio.

OHSO blah… have come here many times always been kinda of eh on the experience decided to leave a review bc today’s visit typifies the pros and cons. First: if I could rate only on the location and outside patio would be a five but since had to eat and since the patio had a 45 min wait for two that didn’t happen… ordered an app and their bbq Sunday special. all was kinda bland and flavorless, apart from the cornbread which was delish. of the ribs, brisket and chicken the brisket was best; the other two were pretty lukewarm and in serious need of a sauce infusion. so in short don’t come to Ohso for good eats come for the nice patio and varied beer selection. if I skipped the food part and had forty five minutes to kill I would probably have had a better result.

Ate here last night. Great vibe. Not a bad thing, but we were almost the oldest people in the house(at 60 and 62). Excellent selection of brews. Some of the home brews a bit hit-or-miss. I had the Brisket & Mac. Interesting and fun. Could have had a bit more flavor. Good sized portion. My partner had the burger and liked it a lot. I like the Dollar per Pour method of creating your own flights. Nicely priced. Tried three that I wouldn’t normally have gone for. The only real negative is that the kitchen was having some issues and our meals took a long time to come out. Server was good about letting us know about the issue. If I lived nearer(2000 miles away), would definitely return.

We came for a light dinner because I had heard that a friend worked here. We followed the paw prints to their dog friendly patio. It is a great space with interesting seating and atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our friend was at a different location so didn’t connect. We were offered a flight to help decide which of their«Yeasty Boys Collection» lagers to choose. They turned out to be very interesting. Lagers made with four different yeasts giving them very different flavors. Kyle, our server, could not have been more helpful or attentive. He was great! We got the American Lager, the humus appetizer, and the«Burger & Cheese.» Enjoyed them all. The beer paired well with all. The humus had good flavor and a little zing, and the burger and fries were just right. All in all, it was a perfect evening. Our only regret is that we live on the other end of the country and it will be hard to come again!

Loved this casual atmosphere with great brunch offerings. Especially nice that people could bring their dogs to the patio. The brunch selection was great — I had a veggie scramble flat bread — pleased with my choice. It came with a beer, since it was October — I chose a pumpkin ale. It was a compliment to the flat bread. Unique was the fact that you could brew a batch of beer and have it served; enjoyed reading the different brewers and their beer. There was a large selection of beers to choose from. Free dog biscuits!

I went here for a friend ‘s birthday party where she had the patio reserved. To me, the food was just average in reference to the flavor profiles. The beverages were definitely very overpriced. I do like that this establishment makes dog treats for you to take home to your doggie. Definitely a hip atmosphere. I would go back!

Cute place with a good selection of beer to choose from. I really enjoy the $ 1 samples so I can try a variety and find new delicious beer. They also allow dogs on the patio so that’s a big bonus! Our server was fun and friendly but he didn’t check up on us often enough so we had to go in and order and the bar at one point. He also brought us a pitcher of the wrong beer and said he’d bring the correct one but charged us for both, so we paid for his mistake. The food was hugely disappointing, I ordered Carne Asada Tacos which was a few bites of Steak on top of a little Lettuce and two Tortillas on the side, it barely filled on Tortilla…¡Ay, caramba! Overpriced, small portion and not even tasty. If I come back I’ll just stick with Beer.

I brought my girls from California this past Sunday. I figured we could watch the football game/chat/eat and drAnk. We got what we wanted… but the service wasn’t the best. Both ladies ordered second drinks that never came. Our food was brought out hot, but by the time we got out utensils… it was barely warm. All in all, great beer and salads. Salmon burger was a hit! Grilled cheese sandwich.meh.

This place is amazing! Awesome food, cool atmosphere and a delightful beer list. Seriously, they have some of my favorite local microbrews on tap! I can’t wait to go here again! Definitely in my top spots for Phoenix food!

Still a great place for brunch. Also, the mimosas are huge. They basically fill a wine glass to the brim.

Oh So mediocre Beer was just average. I actually like their other craft taps(not the house ones) much more than their own. Had the dubbel and quad, and both were quite lackluster. Definitely not the place for a true Belgian fan. Food was solid. Certainly better than the beer. But I could have gotten a decent chicken wrap just about anywhere.

This was my first visit and my mom’s third. I was so astonished by this place. The atmosphere was electric and full of dogs! It was nice to see a place that catered to dogs as well as humans. Mind you, it’s dog friendly, not dog smart. We were going to be seated at a table surrounded by other dogs and when we asked the hostess to be seated at a nearby table because we didn’t want to have a dog fight on our hands she looked incredibly annoyed. I didn’t appreciate that because it was obvious she didn’t care about the safety of the dogs. Nonetheless, our food and service was really good. I’d definitely go back but maybe on a warmer day!

Spent several hours sipping beer and munching on snacks at this awesome pub. First, for everyone who loves to take their beloved dog on field trips: the patio is dog friendly! Now that I’ve shared that crucial piece of information, I can talk about the other things I like about this establishment: The beer is great. This is the first«nanobrewery» I’ve ever been to, and based on the beer menu, «nano-» means a team of brewers that work in small batch to contribute to a beer menu that is full of options. For comparison: on most microbrewery tap lists you’ll see maybe six different offerings. O.H.S.O. had over a dozen different beers to sample. The only caveat is that during my visit, at least four of the beers available were orange-flavored wheat ales, but I suspect they usually have a greater variety available. That said, I really liked my beer! For munching, I ordered a plate of garlic shrimp tacos. They came with spicy cabbage slaw, salsa, and guacamole and I was really, really pleased! The portion size was ideal for a light lung and they were super tasty! The service was good. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for yummy beer in the Phoenix area.

Best Buns in town. I’m a burger fanatic and connoisseur — they get it right. I usually get the turkey burger(bc it has a ridiculously delightful pear compote and bacon — salt/sweet combo) but I sub the patty with a beef patty because I’m a man. Service is super cool, very friendly and per Arcadia standards good looking — just like me:) Bicycle, and pet friendly too. I’m a teetotaler so I can’t speak to the beer — but the people around me there really speak highly of it. Also, the brunch is an unleashed mastodon of delights — worth the money and the crowd.

You are so lucky if this place is in your neighborhood! This is the perfect place to pop by when out for a walk, run or bike ride. Even if you’re not a local, put this establishment in your bookmarks and give them a try. Overall, our recent experience was fantastic. What an adorable facility with amazing, dog friendly, patios. Yes, parking is a bit of a challenge, but be creative and flexible and it’s manageable. The service was a bit slow, but very accommodating and friendly. The food was really nice. I especially loved the huge asparagus. With such a diverse and appealing menu, there’s no doubt that we will be returning.

Big dogs, small dogs, adorable dogs, MORE adorable dogs, the patio is a great place to bring your loyal and trusted best friend(and flawless wingman) The mixed drinks(had all or some of at least 7 of their specialty drinks so far) leave a little to be desired, unless you like really sweet drinks. then welcome to sugar heaven. The blue crab dip is probably my favorite patio snack. Can’t go wrong with that one. Great service too, even when the place is packed and temps are up. great free dog treats as well, a water bar for them, and cool floors and under-benches to sprawl out.

This review is for the bar only. The atmosphere is great. The bartenders were friendly, but there has to be a better way to show which beers are out. Upon sitting at the bar we were given a beer list almost immediately. My husband and I each selected a beer. Each beer we chose was out. Now its a busier Saturday night so we look at the list for a few minutes and wait a few minutes to order our beer. We then look again. 5 beers later between the two of us we each find a beer that is available. Now your speciality is Homebrewers. I understand beers will run out, but there has to be a better way to show whats available.

O.H.S.O is some sort of strange amalgamation of a craft beer bar and casual dinning. Still, this place is a solid choice for a meal, especially if you are a beer nerd AND foodie. They boast a variety of burgers, salads, flatbreads, and tacos. However, I’m a firm believer that their brunch menu is O.H.S.O’s greatest strength. I arrived during late morning with a group of groomsmen and the first thing we noticed(aside from the beer menu) was the brunch special. Choose one item from the brunch menu plus 10oz of any Arizona beer or 1 mimosa for only $ 10.99. They have a carnitas bowl, some flatbreads, and more typical items such as biscuits and gravy, but I went with a breakfast wrap! Who could say«no» to eggs, bacon, potatoes, guacamole, cheese, and salsa wrapped up in whole wheat? Came with a side of fruit too! It was pretty tasty. I prefer my food to have a bit of a kick so hot sauce was necessary. As for the beer, I was hesitant to try the house beers and I’ve already tried the out-of-state ones so I went with local brews. Coconut Joe by Papago brewing was roasty and the coconut shined through. I also tried SanTan Brewing’s Mr. Pineapple. They weren’t freakin kidding. Tasted like I was drinking straight pineapple juice… I doubt I’ll be back in AZ. But if I do return, I’ll keep O.H.S.O as an option. Check them out if you get the chance!

My favorite thing about OHSO is that you can bring your furbabies!!! We love bringing Oscar to OHSO and enjoying an ice cold beer and brunch or an appetizer. We really just love the atmosphere & Oscar loves the homemade dog treats! Last night, we hopped on our bikes and zipped over for some Monday Night Football and tacos! {Their Carne Asada Tacos are amazing!!!} I love the Orange Blossom wheat beer from Papago and also their seasonal Pumpkin Chai beer that is made in house! Now that it is cooling down, I will be making frequent visits with the pooch! I’ll be back soon!

I’ve been here a few times, and I just LOVE their Mac del mar. Their brisket Mac is delicious too! I just can’t get over it! But this day that I went, I decided to try something different. I tried the surf and turf. I was expecting a steak and shrimp, but when the dish arrived, you can see in my picture that they were pieces of steak and shrimp. I didn’t hate it. It was tasty, and very low carb. I still prefer the macaroni and cheese whether it be the brisket or the del mar. They have such a wide selection of beers too and you’ll definitely find something you’ll like. The past few times I’ve been though, I’ve been wishing they would have frosty glasses or that the beer would be colder. And that would be my only gripe. I still like this place a lot though!

I drive by this place all of the time and always see a boatload(picture a ferry in the Pacific Northwest) of vehicles. A perception that invokes positive vibes, and it’s a NanoBrewery(whatever that means), so I figure I gotta go one of these days. Yesterday was the day, as I was alerted to the fact that it was National Beer Day(thanks to Cheryl B)…Are you kidding me! …so, with less than 5 hours left in this gloriously ridiculous reason to drink copious amounts of beer, guilt free, and being that O.H.S.O. was close to my hood, the choice was easy! Luck would have it that the Valet Parking(free) had just wrapped up and I was directed around back(I don’t like others driving my rig). I quickly parked and found the place inside fairly quiet, and the bar up front was mostly filled with what appeared to be regulars, which would be pretty cool, if I was a regular, but I felt invisable… Deduct 1 Star. I decided to wonder around and get myself into some trouble in order to be noticed, but I accidently stumbled onto the back patio, and THIS is where the cool people were hanging out, because it was still 100* outside, but totally chill(so much for finding trouble). On the way to the back yard I passed the small brewery where all the magic takes place, and I say small because THIS is where the Nano evidently comes from… sweet! I found a spot at the bar quickly enough, and the patrons at least looked at me, not that I was in need of attention, but at least I didn’t feel invisable, but then it also seemed that all were not as drunk and were actually having conversation, which is always fun to listen in and pretend not too by scanning the smart phone… anyway ~ All the many varieties of brewskies were not available on tap in the back, but the lovely bar host was more then willing to venture the several dozen paces to bring what my palette yurned for… but how do I choose? I shot in dark and ordered an Orange Blossum, which was from the keg right in front of me, and selected the Pilgrim(I like turkey and cranberry, and the sprouts were a bonus). It was tasty and well complimented with a side of sweet potatoe fries. I throughly enjoyed the lovely, and attentive bar host(ya gotta ask for water, if ya want it, tho) who actually asked how I liked the beer, as if to say, «I’ll get you something else, if you don’t like it». It was okay… a bit too fruity. I find out later that samples can be had for $ 1 a 3oz. shot. As I was contemplating another, but pondering WTF do I order, again, Nick W. comes up behind me and tells me about a beer that he actually brews here and handed me a coozie for his Hops & Dreams… SCORE!!! Others he recommended where the Stella’s Groove, Blood Sweat and Beers, and Day Dream. Since I was holding his coozie, I had to try this hoppie ale of his… smooth! This was a great time, and I recommend the patio, definently! It’s dog friendly and lots of booths and places to stretch out, or belly up to the bar where it becomes more cozy, where you just might score a coozie! They are open late with a Kitchen that serves up a nice variety of burgers, sandwiches, and snacks until midnight.

OHSO is very conveniently located. It’s always insanely busy. Few parking spaces, so be prepared to valet. This is one of a few places that allow dogs… of all kinds! Great staff… young and personable! Best brunch deal in town! $ 10 for brunch AND a mimosa! We started with ceviche, with was hearty and delicious! I had the carnias bowl and papa had the lox. Both dishes were very pleasing to our palates. Definitely a great place to meet friends and hangout. Super deals on drinks and food!

3.5 stars As a child I hated hamburgers, but I think it was because the ones my Mom made were severely dry(I’m talking must chew for hours and wash down with large quantities of water) on wonder buns. I have been known to hide these suckers everywhere just to get out of eating them. I am pretty sure she still finds fossilized burgers in all parts of the house. I was then introduced to a real burger in Los Angeles. Everywhere you turn you can find an amazing burger. One you crave. Stout, Father’s Office, Umami, the Counter etc etc etc Unfortunately after having these burgers a plain olé mediocre burger just doesn’t live up. That was OHSO’s burger. It was okay, but I don’t have dirty dreams about it. While the burger was subpar the atmosphere made up for it. Casual and comfortable place to come enjoy some drinks, but probably pass on the food. Although next time I will try something different. Highly recommend sitting on the patio and enjoying a cold one with some friends. This is on the bike path which is always a bonus since I can ride my bike, have some drinks and then try to ride bike home. Unfortunately we didn’t have any beer(which they have a great selection of microbrews) but they did have a Happy Hour going on. The server said all AZ pitchers of beer and glasses of wine were $ 6. Mon-Fri 11am-6pm The kids meal was just Kraft Mac and Cheese. This is a pet peeve of mine as I prefer if they are going to have Mac and cheese at least make it instead of have it from a box. My daughter of course ate it right up since she never gets that stuff at home. I know I am the worst mom ever. Who deprives their child of Kraft Mac and Cheese? *My Mom’s not a bad cook, just her burgers are horrendous.

Fun, hip brewery in Arcadia. Décor is very basic, but gives a fun vibe. Clientele very diverse. Interesting brews and a great big menu.
