Mercury Delivery Services

Had a super last minute shipment (for a VERY important client in Phoenix) delayed in transit.
Warehouse told me (here in Dallas) that the delivery promised for Friday, won’t make it until Monday. This would have cost us $$$$$$$ to delay since we set aside the whole weekend to install.
Anyways, worked some things out with the warehouse Thursday evening and needed someone to pick up and deliver 32 gallons of carpet adhesive in the morning when the truck arrives, although I don’t know when.
Called up this place, and was directed to Kamyar.
Gave me a quote, told me he scheduled me in for the morning pending arrival.
Called him in the morning when the truck arrived around 830am Phoenix time and he immediately sent me back an ETA of 11:45. Told him I needed it there by 10, and he said he could try, but 11:00 is the best he could do with scheduled deliveries.
Called me at 9:30 saying the driver is at the warehouse loading up the van.
Called again at 10:05 saying it was delivered.
Needless to say, I highly recommend this business. Bravo, Kamyar.

Very poor customer service. I had a same day delivery due that never showed up. When I talked to the shipper, they verified that it had been sent out that day with Mercury. As it was coming up on 6pm, the shipper was unable to reach anyone at Mercury to find out where my pallet was. Received a return phone call from someone at Mercury close to 8pm who was very rude, refused to give their name and is blaming the shipper. States my pallet isn’t due to be delivered until the following day.
Totally bogus, as I have been on the phone with the shippers corporate office and the local shipping manager all afternoon. They where able to verify that other deliveries had been made. The shipping manager was even willing to go pickup the pallet if it had been mis-​delivered and bring it over himself. Unfortunately, no one at Mercury was returning his calls.
The person on the phone kept telling me they were delivering the pallet the next day. When I tried to explain that was not possible as no-​one was going to be here to receive it, they got very snotty and told me to take it up with the shipper and hung up.
Would never recommend this company for same day service or any kind. They are a joke!

I use couriers occasionally and in Phx, it certainly seems like they are hit and miss, and a bit fly by night. They change ownership often, they seem obnoxious and don’t take your important things seriously.
But Mercury is really awesome. They are totally reasonably priced, with no odd «add on» fees. They always answer the phone, they call upon pickup and delivery, and can handle sensitive items.
They’re the only ones I’ll call.
