What you DON’T expect: trips to Ikea to «window-​shop» and find out the price of renovating a kitchen, multiple calls to different carpet cleaners to find you someone who can come in last minute before you arrive in the state, and texts alerting you to the speed of the wind when you’re about to start driving on a windy road when coming into Phoenix pulling a uhaul trailer with your tiny car.
