Ranch Market… nothing like it in Arizona. Even better than Lee Lee’s! This place is an EMPORIUM of excellent, high quality, affordable food. The produce is extraordinary and once you into the spirit of the butcher(ie. any portion of the creature you would like, you can get) the quality is, in addition, really high. Fresh tortillas made all day long and a truly joyful feeling round it outside.

Amazing start to finish, from salsas, tortillas, juices and the food you name they have it and they do it well.

This is a great Hispanic grocery store. Many options available that you are not going to be able to find at a place like Safeway. I also think it’s a great benefit that my auto insurance company has an office here as well. I recommend their juice bar. The platano juice is a must! When they have it! The only improvement I can see them making is providing bicycle racks at there location. As a safe place to park one’s bike as it adds to a safer, cleaner, and friendly downtown Phoenix! Cheers!

Love coming here for the great variety they offer. They have Aguas frescas, good salsas, and a lot to choose from. Food that taste just like moms cooking.

So… I was headed down to the Cardinals vs Diamondbacks game and needed a place to grab a quick dinner. I was craving some tacos and the reviews of this market looked pretty promising. I drove down, parked and walked in the market. I made my way over to the restaurant portion of the store and placed my order. I went with the 5 taco platter for $ 6.99. I went with 3 carne asada tacos and 2 adobada tacos. That and a Mexican Coke came out to $ 9.75. Here is how they were… Carne Asada Tacos– First off, the tortillas they use were fantastic! They were made there in house, and then grilled and crisped up a bit on the grill. They were just a tad crisp(reminded me of Tacos Fitos in Tijuana) but had a great chew and were absolutely delicious. Probably the best corn tortillas I have had in Phoenix. The carne asada had a great flavor, but it was a little bit dry. They keep the meats in a metal warming tray, and even though it was hot, that method of storage may have dried it out just a bit. They were good, but not great. The tortillas were definitely the star of the show. Adobada Tacos– Same great tortillas, same issue with the meat. The adobada was not as dry, but still seemed like it might have been sitting for a bit too long. It definitely wasn’t cut off the spit right then and there. The flavors were good though. Once again, the tortilla was the star of the show. Mexican Coke– Always good! Service was snail slow. There were a few ladies in front of me ordering stuff, and then a few guys behind the counter sort of just sitting there. Eventually they asked if I needed some help, and made my tacos. After that, there is only one cashier, and she was incredibly slow. There were people coming into line from all over the place and there was not really an organized process of ringing up the next person in line. With that said, my tacos sat on the counter for about 5 minutes before I got to eat them. Overall, it was alright. Decent meat, great tortillas. If I was around the neighborhood and craving tacos, I would come back. I don’t think I would drive all the way down here from Surprise for just the tacos though.

This place kills two birds with one stone. I can do grocery shopping and eat delicious food all in one stop. The small street tacos are simple, yet crazy good. The tacos were topped with cilantro & onions. All the meats were well-marinated and flavorful. You can choose from carnitas, pollo, al pastor, carne asada, and tripas. Salsa was provided. I ordered the 5 taco platter with carne asada and al pastor for only $ 6.99! You can also order 1 taco for $ 1.79, or do the 3 taco combo with rice & beans for $ 6.99. The workers were super friendly. They even let me sample the different meats prior to ordering. I might have them cater my next major party because the food definitely stood out. I love the aquas frescas here. The displays were adorable, demonstrating what ingredients were in each drink. This weekend, they had Jamaica, horchata, guayaba, limonada con chia, fruta mix, and tamarindo aquas frescas. I had both the fruta mix and horchata, which were mixed to perfection. The aquas frescas were not too sweet, and were so refreshingly cool on this hot day. You can sample the drinks prior to purchase as well. The produce section of the market is the best! This is my new favorite place for fresh and cheap fruits and vegetables. The prices are lower than my usual Fry’s food stop. Chicken legs were as low as $ 0.88 per pound. We bought some pre-marinated chicken for such a bargain. I’m all stocked up for the week. To top it off, they have freshly baked pan dulce, and a lot more baked goodies.

Hispanic«Whole Foods» is what I’d like to call this market. I absolutely love all the marinated meats in the butcher’s department, and they have super thin butterflied flap and skirt that I love to use when making my own Asada. The fresh corn or flour tortillas, salsa bar and selection of fresh juices are so awesome! Try the Pollo Asada whole chicken meal for $ 6.99($ 5.99 on Wend/Thur) which comes with(8) fresh corn tortillas and salsa. This chicken meal deal will hit you right in the taste buds and could easily feed 2 – 3 people in the process. I’m finding myself at this market multiple times a week be it for a quick stop to pick up fresh vegetables or to grab some cooked food. You can’t go wrong at this place!

The market was repairing it’s sign above one set of doors and vaguely redirecting traffic all the way to the other side of the store. It was causing a lot of confusion and was not well marked. The store itself is huge. We got horchata, fresh juice, donuts and — the best discovery of the trip — taki chips. So much seasoning for so little $$$.

My girlfriend and I just moved into the area and so far this is the only grocery store that we have gone back to more than once! This store has some incredible sales and nice fresh produce. We have recently changed our diets to be mostly fruits & vegetables, and luckily they have a nice wide selection of both and it only takes us about 5 – 10 minutes to get to and from. The reason I gave this store 4 stars is because they don’t seem to stock pretzels of ANY kind(bagged or fresh hot) and it’s very difficult to find a shopping basket. They have plenty of rolling shopping carts, but we are both in wheelchairs so we need a basket to put on our laps while we shop. Other than that, we are both happy with the food and overall very happy with the prices on the produce. The employees have all been nice and quick to accommodate if needed. We also shop at Whole Foods, but it’s 3x further away, so this is where we will be shopping most of the time!

Imagine a Whole Foods that isn’t over-priced with fresher/tastier groceries and prepared foods. You can stop dreaming and just visit Los Altos Ranch Market. Stop by for lunch. They sell numerous options of freshly squeezed/prepared juices and drinks(oh yeah, they have horchata!), then go to the counter for some made-to-order authentic Mexican fair: Amazing tacos, awesome tamales(pick the pork over the chicken), crispy tortilla chips, flavorful sauces(their red enchilada sauce is pure perfection), and an endless list of other tasty foods. All of their tacos come with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, onions, and limes(my taco plate had enough wedges to make two whole limes). They even serve whole, fried Snapper in a combo for only $ 8. Be warned, when I say«whole,» I’m saying that it comes with the head. Something that makes my mom squeamish, but it is the only way I’ll order Snapper. Then again, I ordered Tripe as one of my options for tacos. When your finished with lunch, you can then shop for supper because Los Altos Ranch Market is more of a grocer than an actual restaurant. They have all the organic veggies you’ll need for pocket change. The meat/fish department is impressive without being snooty. Before you leave, make sure you grab some of their fresh, in-store prepared corn tortillas, tortilla chips, and enchilada sauce. They have other freshly made dips that, judging from the enchilada sauce, would be a great addition to any meal or snack.

What an awesome grocery store! They have authentic Mexican products and sell fresh, warm hatch chilis! They also make tortilla chips, shells and tortillas fresh and in the store. You can see the whole production occurring as you shop. You know the tortillas are fresh because they are still hot when you grab them they are still warm! A great store with a wide variety.

What an amazing market. Unbelievable deli extravaganza with a plethora of fresh juices, breakfast burritos(what we came in for) and much more. This should have been our very first stop in Phoenix!

Back for my weekly visit. I usually pick up fresh veggies and fruit which are always a great deal. Jarritos are reasonable so I stock up on those as well. I think the prices are great. We buy a lot of meat from the case and prepackaged. I have never been disappointed from the bakery items. Sometimes we eat from the grill if we have time. Check it out! Don’t be skirred.

The coolest, most authentic and extensive Mexican supermarket ever. They literally have homemade everything from pan dulce, salsa, aguas frescas, chicharrones, tortilla, etc. There’s nice ladies that give you samples of ceviche and salsa throughout the market. There’s even a food court where you can get delicious Mexican food. Love love love this place; it is heaven!

I love this ranch market, it is similar to the ones they have in California. Quite expensive although Mexican food has always been expensive. Every dollar is worth it. I would rather buy food here than go to a Mexican restaurant. Their carne asada tacos are bomb.

Gotta once a week for lunch. Chile rellenos and tamales are to die for. Throw some of those freshly made warm tortillas and I’m in Mexican food heaven. Bakery is excellent. Still trying all the different treats. Half I don’t know what they are but they are good. The staff is super nice and helpful. Always clean. Kind of has the feeling of being at a bazaar. Love it!!! Glad it’s on my way home from work.

I love their pound cake. The store is clean. There are no flies buzzing or odd smells coming out of the meat and fish department. The staff is super friendly and prompted in assistance. The store has a food court type area and drink stand along with the large variety of fruits, veggies, and other food shopping needs to make your own culinary master pieces at home.

The ribs in the prepared foods area are a standout among lots of great items. Mexican spices dry rubbed into ribs is fantastic. The Rotisserie chicken gets a similar treatment. I miss the Pro’s Ranch operation however, hence the missing fifth star. The former eat-in area had a salsa bar with chips. Now the salsas are behind the counter meaning a wait if you need more, or forget to ask when picking up the meal. And no more Ranchie the Bull greeting at the entrance, or Ranchie hats.

I come here weekly for our taco Tuesday nights. The carne preparada is lean and tasty. Just put on the grill and serve. You can’t go wrong with the freshly made corn and flour tortillas. I’ve even bought their salsas and creamy guacamole. Their vegetables are fresh and cheap! We fed a party of 25 for less than $ 60. It was a huge taco fest at our house and everyone raved of all the yummy flavor. Thank you Ranch Market!

I flippin love this place!!! I have a weird love for Mexican Markets and this place kicks ass!!! You walk into this place and bam! Mexican Sweet Breads! Oh, it’s just starting there. Grab a few sweet breads(good luck trying to figure how it do it in a sanitary way) and make your way to the CANDLES!!! Yeah, they got every imaginable candle. Picked up a Pope John Paul candle and what’s that? A wall of chicharones. Now I don’t eat those, but shit they are very impressive! Now my A.D.D. is kicking into high gear!!! Tortillas, salsa, tamales, more candles, crazy ass looking fruits, crazy ass looking marinated meats, I don’t know what that is and my 4 years of Spanish isn’t helping me read the label, pacifico, corona, tequila and so so much more. Phoenix Ranch Market is my Disneyland! Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

I used to love Pro’s but, being slightly out of my way, my trips became less and less often. Then I got a coupon flyer for the *new* Los Altos Ranch Market. I was like, «$ 5 off a $ 25 purchase, SAYWHAAAT?» Turns our Pro’s had gone into bankruptcy and emerged under the joint ownership of a couple other Hispanic market chains. Fun facts but the coupon got me down there Saturday morning. Same old Ranch Market with shoes for sale up front, the assortment of prepared food, drink, and bakery items, and chicharones from bite size to mucho grande. I like their produce and meat selection but wish they carried salmon other than the frozen bags. Still, it was a good reminder of the shopping experiences I had before my current battles at my local Fry’s and Basha’s stores. I suggest we all commit to hitting Ranch Market a little more.

Just had the best fresh pressed juice ever for $ 6 for a huge drink. A great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables squeezed as I watched. Pineapples, beats, apples, cactus, orange. Delicious. This drink would’ve been $ 12 at a juice shop. I stumbled into the shop for some guacamole. Got some great fresh shrimp ceviche. What an incredible find!

If you have the time to plan a grocery shopping trip around making it to a Ranch Market here in the valley, I would advise doing so. And go without a list. You will not cooperate with your list once you’ve walked through the entry to the glorious Ranch Market. Do also go when you have the time to enjoy the market as it is always bustling and the check out lines can take a while. I almost always walk out of RM with some fresh pico, and other salsas depending on my mood, and some fresh chips to go with that. I then usually wander until I come up with some Mexican meal I want to make and go at it. Pricing is great as you can find prices similar to a Food City or Walmart. All fair and same good stuff. Only knock I have is the food they serve inside RM at the food bar, while deliicous smelling, and also well priced, has not always been high quality. So I skip the food bar, and drop my good grocery money on the fresh made items and other ingredients necessary for a yummy mexican meal.

I love horchata. Their horchata alone would be 5 starts. Sweet and creamy without being overly sweet, and not that fake powder stuff! The other aguas frescas looked very good. Wish I had more friends with me to sample the rest. I didn’t find the food itself to be anything special. Taco meats were dry so I just piled on onions, cilantro, lime and salsa verde. Ceviche was good but had a slight hint of «fishiness.» 5 tacos for $ 6 was ok, but I was expecting cheaper for some reason. I think their whole cooked meats are a better deal — $ 7 for a whole pollo asado, 5.99/lb ribs and carnitas. I didn’t try it, but come with a few people and split those items or take home. There are some great deals to be found in the rest of the market. 3lb/99c bananas, 59c/lb white onion, 10lb/$ 1 watermelon are things I remember. Come here if you want your Mexican nopales(cactus), peppers, spices, and the like. Some of the fruits and produce looked great, others not so much. So I guess you’d have to be lucky for what you need to be fresh. Maybe if I’m craving menudo on weekends, I might come back to try.
