Worst company to rent from. Do not do it! Moved out at end of my lease, did move inspection and all. 5 months later I get my wages garnished because they’re demanding 2300 $ for fees and other bullshit. In the year I was renting from them I spent almost as much in rent as I was in fees. Money hungry pieces of shit.

Coming from California, where state tenant laws are renter-​friendly and always in best interest of the tenant, I assumed that Go-​Renter would practice the same kind of ethics. I was wrong. We rented a property for just under two years with GoRenter, were prompt and timely with rent payments, and were respectful tenants. Not only was our entire deposit taken, but we were charged an additional $ 400.00 in fees due to «damages» and «repairs» that were due to the previous tenant’s negligence. In addition, their «invoices» for repairs and maintenance done at move out are not itemized, and merely summarize an arbitrary amount. Thankfully we own now, but if any of my friends needed to rent, I would rather put them up myself than send them GoRenter’s way. You guys should be ashamed.

Shame on me. I read all the negative reviews, but since my brother in law uses them I tried them out.
My only advice is read the contract! After many months of sitting empty, I decided to terminate my agreement. It only cost me ~$ 1300 to terminate, in addition to the monthly fee they charged while my house was vacant. But, the fees were in the contract so I paid up.
It was at this point that I started referring to the company as NoRenters, LLC.
In my defense, I honestly thought I would have no problems renting the place out, the agreement is written so that if the house rents, you might save some money vs a regular property management company. But, if like me it sits empty and your terminate early, you will be fleeced. But, all the fees are written into the contract so I cant argue.
I turned over the property to CPL Properties and it was rented within 2 weeks. BTW — CPL does not have a termination fee, that’s right folks, its $ 0 to terminate the agreement at any time! This is probably true of alot of other rental companies so do your research!
Cons: They were not very good at getting the home rented and their fees are high!
Pros: errrr, they have an airtight contract? Is that a pro? I like to end with a positive so I will leave that here.
Anyway, take heed of the other reviews, like I should have and stay clear of NoRenters if you actually want to make money on an investment property.

I have been waiting for my lease to be done and my deposit check returned to write this review because I feared retribution or some BS fine for speaking my truth. Go Renter is awful and as a renter, I would run the other way if you come across one of their properties. They are one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with.
Their contract written and is meant to confuse you. It’s a scam! One one page it says one thing while on the other page it contradicts. They will use and find any excuse they can to send «certified mail» which costs about $ 2 so they can charge $ 35 in certified mailing fees on documents they already emailed!!! Every time I turned around I was getting $ 35 fees tacked onto my rent, all if them BS. I one-​time received a $ 35 fee I had to fight for a car that was parked in front of my next-​door neighbors house in the street! The car was not mine.
I always had to fight to get repairs done, we moved to the house in June and the pool was green when I moved in. The air conditioner was broken, lightbulbs burned out everywhere, BUT they require all the lightbulbs to be replaced and in working order when you move out. My elderly parents nearly had heat stroke as a result of the air conditioner being broken… they did NOT care.
They come up with BS fees to nickel and dime the tenants to death and you are guilty until proven innocent. Their business practices are about profit, not about the people they serve.
If you’re a property owner, I’m not sure what value they could possibly bring to you. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I’m surprised a judge hasn’t stopped them or the department of real estate revolved their real estate license to put a stop to their deceitful business practices yet.

Wow. Not surprised to see that everyone else that has left a review left negative remarks. This management company is HORRIBLE. It’s a fight to eat anything done with maintenance-​and they will call you a liar if you let them know something that was supposed to be done, doesn’t get completed. I have been waiting on maintenance to finish the same work order that was supposed to be done for a year. (This was supposed to be completed prior to move in.) please go elsewhere!!!

I was a property owner with this company. It was far and away THE worst company ever. I had a 100% eviction rate due to tenants not paying. 9 total. That takes some serious skill to be this bad. I lost at least 100K using this company. Stay far, far away. Throw a dart at a phone book to find your property manager. You have a 100% chance of doing better than these guys…

They will ignore your every request and charge you thousands of dollars for their own errors. Additionally, they rely on the fine print in their leases to charge you cancellation fees, admin fees, late fees, and any fee that they can generate based on technicalities.
I apologize if this sounds bitter, but my roommate and I gave this company every opportunity to be ethical, and they spat in our faces each time.
P.S Beware Darcy G. the so called «tenant-​representative». The only thing she represents is the company’s mission to find ways to take your money.

I’m an owner who used gorenter back in 2007. Rest assured they were no better back then so we fired them in 2008. Fast forward 5 years and out of the blue I get a letter saying we owe them money for expenses they recently incurred in skip tracing their deadbeat tenant from 2007. They claim that provisions in the old prop mgt agreement are still in effect even though it was terminated years ago. As far as I know, the statute of limitations for going after a tenant in AZ is 2 yrs. Gorenter is a joke and scam. Unless you’ve experienced them for yourself, you would not believe all the stories on here. Stay away from them.

To say they are the worst company I have ever dealt with is an understatement. I have rented from gorenter for a little over a year, during this period my home has been broken into twice. The first time they refused to pay for the door that had been damaged during the burglary because” they didn’t do it”. They never once even asked if I was ok. After getting my lawyer involved the door was repaired 8 days later, leaving my home unsecure for that period.
I requested to be reimbursed for the days that I could not stay in my home due to it being not secured and, surprisingly I was, four months later! I also offered to pay to half of the cost to have a security screen door installed and was denied.
The next break in was 8 months later. I didn’t even recieve a phone call back until four days after the break in. They refuse to let me move out early, even though I am only on a month to month lease. Again, never once asked if I was ok. I asked them if they would live in a home that had been broken into twice. They refused to answer the question.
I would really like to know how they sleep at night. They could care less about someone’s safety as long as they get their greedy hands on your money. I will be fighting this issue with my attorney.

Go Renter provided my property management. Informed them in August we were selling home and realtor estimated approx 6 months to sell. Go Renter notified: when I put in the cancellation I was charged over $ 1000 in Fees. They are thieves… do not use them.
See a posting that in ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₁ they had a C– they are now have a perfect F rating on BBB due to complaints and reviews from both tenants and owners.
There are other companies out there to use — get the word out and people need to stop giving these guys money. What pull owners in is the $ 75 monthly fee, you think it is a bargain — you get what you pay for. Our tenant had our contact information and we were constantly having to get Go Renter to stop charging fees for things that were not true (we knew they had dogs and agreed upon their move in, every inspection Go Renter would charge them some additional type of pet fee but send us the inspection report that the property was well maintained even with the dogs). Our tenants were un-​happy, we were unhappy with their services. If we were not selling the home our tenants had informed us they would not sign another lease with Go Renter (we would of lost our tenants because of their horrible management).

RENTER BEWARE!!! I rented a house from gorenter for over a year. Hundreds of dollars of hidden fees were added at the end of the years lease, and when I moved out they never offered a walk-​through. My mistake. They not only kept all of my deposit they charge me over $ 700 more. I kept up the home as only I lived there, no kids. My boyfriend and I cleaned the yard, trimmed the bushes and followed the list of «to do» things gorenter gave me for move out. I didn’t even use 2 of the 3 bedrooms, however they charged me over $ 1000 to repaint a 1300 sq ft home. And this home was painted with stark white, flat paint on rough walls so it was hard to dust. The owner left mutliple constrution items in the laudry room that I was told had to stay, and then when I left they charged me over $ 200 to haul them away! When I wrote a letter to complain they told me too bad, it was in the lease! I’m just sick that I worked hard to keep this home up and I was fleeced. Now they’ve added over $ 200 in collection fees and they are threatening to garnish my wages. Look at all the other reviews. I’m not some dead beat who trashed a home. I’m an honest person, who takes pride in keeping my home clean and taken care of. Just want everyone to beware!!!

Total rip off! I own my stupidity in not noticing the extra monthly fee in the lease, but like most people i look specifically at the monthly rent and what I owned upon move in. What a surprise that I am not TOTALLY overpaying for the condo I rented through them. This is on top of the up front adminstration fee of $ 250.00. Not one was this extra monthly fee mentioned in my verbal or electronic communication with the lease agent. I am only a month into my lease and only have regrets.

6 review as of today and the company still hasn’t managed anything above a single star. The judge in my case put that it was me vs
NOT me vs the property owner as the company stated in my previous review. Stay clear. The State of Arizona even has an open case against these guys!

Yeah, these guys SUCK.
I rented a beautiful, former model house in Gilbert and everything seemed to go smoothly with the application process UNTIL I signed the lease. After that I had so much trouble getting these people to just give me keys (never even got a pool key from them!) and they never got me a garage door opener despite repeated requests.
Then when I told them that the lady who lived right next to me could open and close my garage door with HER garage door opener, they didn’t respond to my concern. Not surprisingly, a couple of weeks later the lady next door went to open (or close, I’m not sure) her garage and as a result MY own garage door came down on top of my car as I was backing into my garage! It crushed itself to death trying to close on top of MY car! So I called GoRenter (yet again) and left (yet another) voicemail for my non-​responsive rep explaining that my garage door was toast and it took her a full week to call me back! Heck I got a warning letter from the HOA about the crumpled garage door, and the owner of the house knew what had happened even before the idiot rep at GoRenter even bothered to returned my call. Grrrr… As it turns out the damn garage door was set to the same frequency as the lady’s next door and that was why she could open and close my door with her remote control AND when it was installed the safety was not properly set to bounce back as soon as it encountered an obstruction while closing. This is why it mashed itself into a crumpled heap on top of my car hood. (Thank GOD my three year old son wasn’t what the garage door accidentally came down on top of!)
Anyway, this was just one of my issues with them. They also advertised my house as having a washer and dryer (Uh, no it didn’t) and as having a walk in pantry, not even close, it was a kitchen cabinet, with a door. (Not a pantry, by even the *most* active of imaginations.)
They also managed to screw me into a bogus late fee because of some bizarre website/​weekend payment processing glitch, and that really pissed me off, since I am not the kind of person to be late paying any bill, ever.
Then when I went to move out they tried to screw me over to the tune of several hundred dollars in strange fees, and by then I was actively talking to the owner about my plight with GoRenter and SHE was done with their crap (I wasn’t the only one having problems) and she fired them for all of her managed houses. I left that house in better shape than when I moved in (even hiring a professional maid to clean it top to bottom) and leaving behind the 2 garage door openers that I bought out of own pocket (about $ 50) after they refused to give me one, yet they still somehow found a way to claim that I somehow damaged the house and kept some of my deposit. ABSURD!
Ugh, what a nightmare…
ETA: I’m not interested in having someone who claims to be an owner of GoRenter log in behind my review and make all these ridiculous claims that attempt deflect GoRenter’s liability for any of these issues by attempting to blame it on me or the owner. Your company sucks: your reps are negligent, untrained and inattentive and your contracts and billing policies border on unethical and THAT is why you guys suck.

My boyfriend and I moved to Phoenix from WA state last year and found a house through GoRenter online. I had my friend do a walk through of the house and he did tell me that the house was really dirty and needed to be cleaned. I guess I was niave and thought once they got a renter and a signed lease the house would be cleaned and move-​in ready once I arrived in Arizona… nope. I got to the home and there were dead bugs and dog crap on the floors inside the house. I had to bleach the floors 3 times before i would bring anything inside. It took us two weeks to get the weeds in the yard taken care of (they were up to our waist), and maintenance was out pretty much every week for the first month we were here. On one occassion the toilet in the master bathroom needed to be replaced so they removed it and placed it in our bedroom and left it there over the weekend!
When I notified them about an 8 foot long crack in the ceiling I was told that it would not be fixed unless it started leaking!
In June we started the complaints about the AC going out. We made several phone calls and they told us the owner was the one who dealt with that issue. The repair guy came out 3 times and said, basically that nothing was wrong and the owner himself told me that all the houses in AZ got less AC flow in some of the rooms so I should just get used to it. In Sept I gave a 10 day repair notice and Oct a new repair company came out and discovered the unit was wired wrong and that the ducting had issues but the owner did not authorize it to get fixed. I literally lost 40 lbs over the summer because we could not afford to move or take the owner or GoRenter to court. Once we got our tax return we moved and the house got sold. I’m glad to be out of there and will never rent from that company again!

We signed up with Gorenter to find tenants and manage our property. What a mistake. They were terrible communicators, did not find us a tenant, they GAVE OUT OUR LOCKBOX COMBINATION OVER THE PHONE to anyone willing to send them a «scan» of a driver’s license, and were generally useless.
We foolishly did not check out their BBB ratings which are very negative, with 57 complaints lodged against them and a grade of C-​.
We had to pay a $ 750 «termination fee» just to get out of the useless contract. I would advise anyone to run, not walk, away from this company and find someone more reputable.

Oh my gosh — Always H. I had the same exact experience you did. This is the worst company ever. They have a lot of reviews on the better business bureau and they are ranked D– (yes, that’s very bad).
That guy Greg Dawson smooth talks you and you think its going to be all better, but you end up getting screwed. You’re almost at the end of your contract, and if you don’t feel like you will be hurt by them over the next couple of months, wait until November /​Dec and send in your NOTICE TO TERMINATE. Read the fine print, I think you need to do it by cerified mail. I lost thousands of dollars using them as my property manager. I now manage the properties myself and it is going MUCH better thank you.

I would rate this place as a «ZERO» but not sure if its available. So, I reluctantly rate as a 1 star.
From the begining things began to go wrong. The refrigerator was missing when I moved in. They turned off my cable mid-​term. I had to treaten breach before they agreed to take action to resolve. Lastly, when i moved out they refused to pay me back my deposit even though i left the house in better condition than recieved. needless to say, this isn’t over. I am takeing them and the owner to small claims to get my deposit back.

We had the most awful experience with this company. We signed up with them thinking they would be a reasonably priced property manager. Little did we know it would be death by a thousand needles. It seemed like every time anything happened on our property we were socked with a ridiculous array of fees. Additionally when we tried to talk to them about that we were told to take our business elsewhere if we didn’t like it, but they would charge us a 3 month penalty for leaving them. We would never ever use them again.
