Jessie and Kevin are such awesome people! They provide great service and even better humor. Jessie was extremely helpful in my last visit and made my bike fast again! Kevin was ultimately a cool guy to talk to.

You need a bike shop in Phoenix? Exhale is the place! I was in town for Spring Training and needed to rent a bike. Walked in and was fitted, clothed and given multiple route suggestions by two of the nicest people you could ever meet. Included everything including car rack for far less than the competition. Convenient to get to and available hours. See them!

Exhale Bikes Over promises and under delivers service. Had to make an appointment 1 week in advance to have my bike serviced. Dropped it off Thursday afternoon from that point on when ever I call i am the next bike that is going to be worked on and that status never changes. On top of that only one service tech can work on the bike because obvious there is such a big difference between 21 speed bikes. If there was a Negative 5 Stars that would be the accurate rating.

I’ve been here twice so far and the service and product have both been excellent! Stopped in to rent a bike for the day and the bike worked well. They also supplied all the necessary equipment such as a helmet, spare tube, etc.
I stopped in again today because I was having an issue with the dérailleur on my own bike. They fixed it quickly. In both instances the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely stop in again.

I’ve been here a few times before just browsing the inventory. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable.
Then I came back when my mountain bike needed a tune up. They took a reservation over the phone quick and easy. I dropped off my bike and they had it serviced and cleaned on time. Very happy with them. I will definitely be returning.

Exhale is a decent shop with a good selection of oddball parts. This makes it very handy when you need something on short notice. Brackets, hardware, cable, etc.; they have a lot of special parts in stock that most shops don’t, which is a huge help.
Customer service is pretty good. Prices are reasonably competitive for retail. I’m not a fan of bike shops in general — I look to the internet for big purchases and more attractive price incentives.
I do 99% of my own building and maintenance, but the jobs I can’t do (i.e. require very expensive, specialized tools), I’ve tried to have done here. I don’t doubt they would do a good job, but they always seem overbooked, and turn around time quotes have always been laughably long. I’ll pass…
Looks like they have a lot of good rental bikes (Specialized and Santa Cruz), so if you need one, I’d stop in here first.

I’ve rented a lot of mountain bikes but this is the first place that spent a lot of time to ensure that the bike was set up properly for me. Best experience ever. Great rental bikes, great shop, really friendly and helpful people, highly recommended.

I’m on the Discount Tire Cycling team and ride among people with serious road bikes. I’m the guy with the new hybrid and not a lot of extra budget for cycling. I’ve been riding with the team about six weeks and lacked clipless pedals. One of my team members suggested I go here and that they would take great care of me.
Did they ever on Saturday (April 12, 2014). I stopped by briefly around lunch and had a quick conversation with Nathan. He immediate offered to save me about $ 50 overall on the purchase of shoes and pedals, compared to another shop in town.
I came back later in the afternoon and not only did he stick to his offer, he spent almost an hour tweaking my bike to make sure it fit me perfectly. This was my first time buying anything in the shop. I didn’t buy my bike here!
This morning I had one of my best rides ever, owing to the fact I had the new pedals and that my bike was custom fit to me, myself and I.
Great shop, great service. Will definitely be going back.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This shop was recommended to me by a co worker when I was out looking to purchase my first road bike. I went in expecting to have a great experience but walked out vowing to never go back. I went in looking to spend between $ 1500 and $ 1800 for the bike and was told that the only bike they had was over $ 2000 — above my budget and that I would just have to order the lower priced bike, prepaid of course. While taking a minute to think about it they guy walked away and started helping someone else and when I started to ask a question he totally ignored me. I guess they figured that they didn’t need my business. I walked out and never went back. Horrible experience and with the fact there are so many other shops in the area I will go without something before i go into this shop ever again.

I have been a customer of exhale bikes for 18 years. They are knowledgable work very hard to help you and they always make sure you are satisfied with your new bike purchase or any repair you have done. Great Mechanics!!!

Ok, this review is long overdue.
Came in September 2012 to try a Specialized cruiser bike I saw online. I was quickly greeted by James, who turned out to be a real bike guru. I had so many questions and James was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Took the cruiser for a lap and BOOM I was in love. Even though it was a Friday night (creeping on their closing time), James and the Exhale crew did not rush us at all and even took the time to assemble all the add-​ons I wanted. James also told us about good bike routes in the area and some cool art galleries in Phoenix. How can I ever consider another bike shop?

These guys are my go-​to LBS, right down the road. Wes has always been a huge help. They give great honest advice without always upselling. Good selection of parts and accessories and reasonable prices.

Every guy that has helped me out here have been complete sweethearts. Just absolutely the best service that you can really find with bikes. Some shops will screw you in the ass when it comes to labor fees, one in peoria I’ve been to charges for how long the bike is in the shop. I have gone in here on 2 separate occasions and they have done a amazing job straightening out my rims, and the frame of my bike. Reasonable prices. Definitely come here for a good tune up on your bike.

Bought a beautiful Specialized road bike from James at Exhale today. These guys do business the right way. Great advice about bikes, biking, racing, the culture in general. Price was super competitive and they fit my bike to me no charge and told me to bring it back for an even more complete fitting when I decided to clip in. The bike even comes with two years of adjustments! I was completely impressed with the entire business. These guys are a great example of how to compete with Walmart and the Internet.

Bought my first road bike here a week ago. James and Nathan fielded all my questions and showed me a variety of models that helped me narrow down my choices based on my desires and budget. I found pricing to be fair… excited to take delivery of new wheels!

Wow. This was the best customer service I’ve had in a very long time — I’m talking like decades. I had a biking jacket given to me as a Christmas gift — it was too small. I brought it in without a receipt. Exhale was happy to exchange it for me. They did not have my size in stock in that same style. I was told that they would be able to order one for me. I was also given the option of an in-​store credit. Instead, I selected another style of jacket that was slightly more expensive. Exhale covered the difference! I was astonished.
They have a great selection of (mostly Specialized brand) products. But outstanding customer service. Despite the fact that this is not the closest shop to my house, this will be my bike shop of choice.

Two Christmases back these guys saved my fat ass!
I ordered a bike for my GF, but I didn’t have the tools to take it from a box of parts to something that she could ride through the dirt screaming «You’re trying to kill me!!!» on.
I put up a cry for help on the MTBR boards, and low and behold out of nowhere Exhale’s owner responded that they could do it for about ½ of what everyone in the valley had quoted me.
A few days later my special lady’s 575 was built up and perfect. Saved money, saved a lot of time, and Exhale saved Christmas! Thanks guys, you’re the best.

Great shop and great people. Seriously these guys know their stuff and will get you setup with what you need to get out there and ride.

Always helpful people, fantastic service. I bought my mtn bike 7 years ago from these folks and haven’t thought of going anywhere else since.

Explanation of WHY I feel this way:
I brought the bike in because I had blown out the front fork seals, probably just from the bike hanging around too long without being used.
The guys had the bike for a couple days, to give it a good once over, and I didn’t care, I haven’t ridden it in a while.
They called with the verdict, the fork seals can be fixed, but it might be hard to find parts, the company that made them is out of business. I didn’t care to worry about it right yet, so said «I’m not gonna worry about it, what do I owe ya for the checkup?» they said «Nothing, just come back here when you want to buy new front forks.»
