Excellent music tonight from the soloists, violin and cello. The indie music was not to my taste but the audience seemed to like it. The $ 15 ticket price is a good deal. They even provide complementary refreshments at intermission.

The Downtown Chamber Series is a very small Group of Musicians from the Phoenix Symphony that started doing small chamber concerts in Art Galleries downtown Phoenix, Mark Dix a young hip guy founded this group to combine classical music with the visual arts! I have to say I haven’t missed a concert. The tickets are always just $ 10 ! there is free wine and apps at intermission while you browse the funky downtown art space ! They select challenging music for their repretoire !! It’s a hidden gem !! its always casual, artsy people in jeans typically… As a classical music lover, I have found these concerts to be the BEST!!! Check out the website.
