Double Blessing’s Goat’s Milk Lotions & Soaps

I have tried many different brands of goats milk soaps and the Double Blessings are my favorite. They smell great, last a long time and a very economical. They are at the Ahwatukee Farmers’ Market every Sunday morning. Love it!

Big B wanted to check out the farmers market as we were walking around Old Town. He gets credit for seeing this stand (I was about to walk past it) and also stopping to pick something out.
There are a ton of different soaps that have a range of smells. He let me choose a scent and I had a difficult time picking one out because there were so many great choices.
I bought two 2 ounce creams. The goats milk in it makes it really luxurious and hydrating. I have dry skin and some problem spots and to my amazement the cream is working REALLY well to soften and also heal my skin.
It isn’t a miracle it is more science. Milk contains lactic acid that when applied to skin works to get rid of the dry parts and allow the moisturizers to work its way deeper into the skin.
For those of you who suffer from those bumps that are on the backs of your arms or on your legs you may want to buy a few jars of this and apply twice a day, especially after a shower. I am sure the soap will help to when used with a body poof to exfoliate the area. When you get a prescription product to take care of this common skin annoyance it really is just lactic acid with moisturizer. I would try this first because the ingredients are natural and the cream isn’t expensive. It also goes a long way.
I got lavender peppermint because I’m crazy about the smell. It is both great for a morning pick me up, and soothing for a nighttime scent. I would say the peppermint notes are heavier so you don’t want to slather too much on or you can end up smelling like you have Benegay on or something like that.
The scent does fade over an hour or so which is nice if you want to wear perfume or don’t want to be too noticeable.
I really like that this place uses natural ingredients and milk from their very own goats. I love the picture of the goat on my jar, it is so cute and it just makes me smile!
We were a little sad that the daughter working the stand didn’t really seem to know much about the goats or have a passion. I won’t knock her for it and no stars lost. I hope to come by when her mom is around because I am sure I will get more insight into how they came about. My family used to have me help them with stuff and sometimes I lacked the passion (especially on a Saturday) to get customers really excited to. Still, it would have probably prompted me to buy more and get gifts for others if I had something interesting to say about the goats, farm, or woman making these wonderful products.
As long as they keep up the quality I will be buying their products loyally.
UPDATE: The owner sent me a little note offering to tell me about the goats and I thought that was so sweet. Again I would not hesitate to buy from this place again. Really an exceptional product.

We stop by their booth at the Roadrunner Farmers Market every week. We started with just the lip balm because my daughter has very sensitive skin. At this point she is using the lip balm, lotion, soap and even the goats milk shampoo. Her winter eczema has disappeared and we are amazed. I have rheumatoid arthritis in my thumbs and their pain lotion helps like nothing else I have used. We have even used their shampoo bar on the dogs which makes them smell super fantastic. As long as they continue to do business they have a lifelong customer.

These soaps and lotions are SO good. They are richly scented but completely non-​irritating. The lotions you have to get used to. They are richer than the typical commercial lotion, so use less at a time and rub it in GENTLY then let it settle into your skin. The lotions are very moisturizing but also non-​greasy. LUV this stuff!

I had a really hard time rating this company. Based on the products alone, I would give it five stars. I love their products! I purchase them at the Old Town Farmer’s Market. I feel I had to down grade my rating due to the lackluster customer service. I buy lotion and soap at least once a month. The same woman rings me up every time. The word that best describes her demeanor is «terse». I wish she would lighten up! Smile, even!

Sure lotion made with goats milk sounds weird, and it is… but it is also the best lotion ever.
I get it at the Old Town Farmer’s Market, but they sell it at several other of the farmer’s markets around town.
There are a ton of different scents, but I keep going back to strawberry vanilla. It smells amazing. They also have soap, deodorant, candles, & some other various stuff. I just keep going back for the lotion, because it keeps my dry skin soft without being greasy and smells like cotton candy.
I love goat lotion. :)
