How great to belong to this health club! My husband and I moved to the Valley last year and after scouting out the health and tennis clubs, we went in for a tour. RJ Heyer was awesome. Admittedly, we have since become close friends with him and are getting to know and be friends with other of the amazing staff there. No prior relationship, just great, old fashioned, exceptionally friendly and amazing customer service. We joined the same day as our tour. Since joining, we have experienced almost everything the Village offers. Free intros to almost every type of exercise, we play tennis, squash, basketball. We’ve used the fitness rooms and trainers(hurray for Erica Rosenbaum!), the spa, the food and the locker rooms. The Village is a wonderful addition to a great quality of life, here in the Valley. It’s clean, friendly and welcoming. We will remain members. We love it.

I’m a new member and have been taking advantage of a lot the Village has to offer. I used to work at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, and the amenities are quite similar. And an 1⁄8 of the cost. What really blew me away was a new trainer there named Rachel Miller. I was offered a small, but free to new members, group personal training class. She is a new employee there and her skills, knowledge, communication, and motivation was on point! I’m super spoiled coming from canyon ranch and really hoping all the trainers and instructors are as impressive as her. My body was sore everywhere for next 3 days. She knows her stuff. I would wake up at the crack of dawn to do boot camp, bosu core, whatever if she’s instructing. Instructors are key to enjoying your workout classes. I hope she on the schedule ASAP. Employees are super friendly, but nobody«wowed» me like Rachel! So glad she’s a part of the team. Looking forward to continuing my fitness and relaxation at Camelback Village.

The family atmosphere rocks and it’s a no brainer but three stars as the internet sucks. Don’t even bother bringing a tablet to watch because the equipment has no updated tvs and such. No reception. Ridiculousness. Café prices have gotten out of hand. What is happening here??? If lifetime fitness opened down the street, the village would be in trouble.

It’s like a home away from home when i visit from California. Great staff, incredible facility and the food and spirits are better than you’d expect. Its a comfortable feel and although there are a number of notable celebrities and athletes, the vibe is cool and relaxed. I send everyone i know who travels to AZ without hesitation!

Been a member here for 15 years. I’ve tried other gyms as I’ve moved around the country, but the village is the best and they have spoiled me. Everything here is 5 star: the classes, the facilities, the service, the little things(free water), the views, etc… Highly recommend

I wish they would upgrade their cardio room. Their AV in cardio reminds me of a 1989 flashback. None of their treadmills have their own A/V… Even worse if you want audio you can read it closed caption because unless you download a «radio» app you are reading the audio on an old fashioned TV.

Have been members for over ten years. Great club and lots of classes and racquet sports too. The food service is decent and as a neighborhood club it is a great place to join.

I joined the village about a month ago and I could not be more pleased. The fitness classes are top notch with a huge variety and at times that can cater to anyone’s schedule. I take a yoga class there in the evenings I could not be more pleased with. The tennis courts are great here as well. I recently had a private tennis lesson and the instructor made me feel completely comfortable despite my severely underdeveloped tennis skills. Once you are a member, you just place a reservation and you can use these courts as much as you want. They will even help get you a match with someone else looking to play. The facilities are top notch. Steam room, sauna, and a beautiful pool. The shower facilities are super clean. It really is a place to relax. Yes, it is pricey, but I love coming here. I enjoy working out more than ever. There are group events every month too. There is also an awesome bar overlooking the tennis courts… I could go on and on…

The Village member, Gabi M, was nice enough to get me a day guest pass so I could work out with her at the ungodly hour of 6:30am. Even though I was technically still on Chicago time it felt early… really early. She had signed us up for Heidi’s TRX class, which isn’t included in the membership($ 15/person). We don’t have to pay for TRX classes at my gym at home, but apparently it’s a new class here. When we first checked in they told us the class was taking place on the rooftop of the gym. We headed on up and realized it was outside. Being a Chicagoan I feel silly being worried about being cold in 60 degree weather, but we did hesitate taking the class due to it being outside. Ultimately, we decided to give it a shot and hoped Heidi would get us warmed up quickly. Heidi did just that and within minutes I was loving the temps, not to mention the opportunity to be outside in January. Amazing! Rumor has it Heidi is a popular instructor and I can see why. She’s challenging, motivating and focused on form so you know you’re actually doing the moves correctly. If I lived in the area I’d likely sign up for this class on a weekly basis… or…maybe Heidi’s classes that are a bit later in the morning. The rest of the gym was absolutely packed. There were very few pieces of cardio equipment empty. I guess people in Phoenix have to get up early for workouts when they can’t hid behind their coats all day like we do in Chicago.

For the price of membership this club is not worth it. The wide array of amenities are wonderful, but for a supposed hi-quality establishment the food, drinks, and snacks are the worst. It is all genetically engineered and highly processed commercial garbage. The club has antibacterial soap dispensers thru-out that I’ve observed members use often doing harm to their bodies and spreading that poison. Most water dispensers are filtered, but heavily iced. Their free weight and machine room is awfully small and cramped leaving no floor space between stations. The jacuzzi area is inundated with chlorine odor. Their Registered Dietition will give you information that will maintain disease and build further derangement and deformity. A resort fitness club designed for the most commercially adept and brainwashed this place is, while a wise fitness and health restoring club it is not. Camelback Village promotes too much unhealthy practices and is simply not remotely worth it for those that have wisdom and understand what is going on. This place is especially scary for those with with impressionable minds like children and heavily western cultured adults and young adults. A place of this caliber should offer healthy, balanced, non GMO, and organic. Very disappointing.

The oldest in the Village family, it is decent. The sauna/steam room/Jacuzzi looks like a public pool rather than a top-notch facility that it CAN be with a little remodeling. The yoga room, which was yoga, not hot yoga, was so humid that I almost passed out. There was steam on the mirrors and windows! The pool is boring. The restaurant was OK. I would recommend the DC Ranch Village. Much better!!!

Let me just say, Tami is the best manicurist ever!!! I recently had a manicure and pedicure for a wedding I was in. I was a little worried that my manicure would chip before the big day because I am really hard on my hands. But lo and behold the polish not only looked beautiful for the wedding but still looked great 7 days later!!! That’s amazing!!! And the pedicure, let me just say Tami has magic fingers and her foot and leg massage put me in heaven! Not to mention she did an amazing job on my callouses. My feet are as soft as a baby’s bum! Im hooked and a new regular! Do your self a favor and book an appointment with her asap!

I have found all the trophy wives in the Biltmore area. They’re at the Camelback Village. I’m pretty young still. I’m in my 20s, and I’m used to being one of the most energetic, fit people in my group fitness classes. I showed up at the Village dance classes expecting this trend to continue. Nope. The standard age at the Village seems to be 35 – 50 years old, but it caters to the 35 – 50 year old MARATHONRUNNERS. I’m pretty sure that the dance classes are filled with ex-cheerleaders and professional dancers. The Yoga«students» could teach classes at most other gyms, and the rockin’ ladies in the Kinesis class have six packs. I’m not even joking. We tried some of the cheaper, more traditional gyms in the area before deciding on the Village, but the large number of diverse class offerings daily, the gorgeous facilities(I feel like I’m in a spa when I take a shower there after a workout!) and the sheer number of fitness options led us to the decision to pay the extra money in exchange for a better quality, fitter lifestyle. Want a tennis partner? The club will set you up with a league. Like to shoot hoops? There are organized pick-up games as well as competitions for all ages(or there will be again soon — unfortunately the flood damaged the basketball courts, but they’re already at work replacing them). Swimmer? No prob — masters swim classes and swim team, led by ex-collegiate swimmers. Hiker? There are morning running and hiking clubs. Here’s what else I’ve discovered so far: ping-pong tables, racquetball courts, squash courts(apparently they’re two different games — who knew!), Kinesis and bootcamp classes(Crossfit without the brand name), various dance classes ranging from Zumba to Belly-Dancing, Bounce Classes on trampolines. Also, nutrition experts, personal trainers, well-supplied weight rooms, cardio rooms, an indoor running track, and the evil«kinesis room» which looks all innocent but then kicks your butt. Also, free ice water and coffee at all times of day. Do you just want to booze it up and get massages while your partner works out? Good news — there’s a full-service bar and a relaxing spa! There’s also a big screen TV where you can watch sports games(tennis is given preference, but football and basketball have been on recently too) as well as smaller TVs in the locker-rooms — and don’t get me started on the locker rooms. Iced towels, mouthwash, razors, and pretty much any beauty item you’d need to get ready for work in the morning. I’m still amazed by this place every time I go, and I’ve been going daily. The steep price tag is worth every penny.

Love the club. Tennis is great. People are great and it’s a very social atmosphere. One downside is on the weekends it can get crowded and difficult to find a park. I think it’s worth it and will continue to stay a member. Before I joined I read a review that said it’s not just a club it’s a lifestyle. I thought it was a pretty poxy review but now I have joined I understand what he meant and I completely agree.

We love the Village! We only like children, however. The summer months bring in all of the younglings to play, so whether you’re walking across the gym, in the locker room or to the pool… there will be half pints darting around you. Summon all of your patience to bare through your workout. The facilities are always clean and the staff is polite and professional. This place is definitely worth the high monthly membership fees.

I was a member here for about 3 years. When I first started I was paying 126 a month. Every year the cost would go up 7.00. After a while I had to get to my workout classes earlier and earlier because parking got to be a pain. The weight room is crowded and had to wait to use weights and machines. The last year of my membership I was paying 145 a month, too much for me. The facility is very clean. Thanks for the 3 years.

It pains me to cancel my membership here, but I’m moving and the commute from SF would be a bitch. This is the best gym you could ever join — it’s basically a country club without the links and pretentiousness. Everything is state of the art and all the classes are amazing. I mainly do Yoga and they have all varieties which is so nice! The tennis courts are my favorite part — what a great workout that’s so much fun! Yes it’s incredibly expensive, and you can save a lot of dough going to LA fitness or another big box gym, but what value do you place on your health, wellness, and quality of life???

You just got back from the Bellagio in Vegas? «So what, I just got back from the Villagio.» Contrary to popular belief, the Village is NOT an expensive gym. It’s more like a cheap Country Club. That’s really what it is minus the golf course. I’ve been a member for a long time and love it. Great classes with Great teachers. Even the yoga teachers are top notch, which is unusual for a «gym». Tons of tennis if you are into that. The backdrop of Camelback mountain is amazing. The weight room is adequate. There are certainly bigger and better ones. If you are a body builder, probably not for you. A couple of pools, BB court/racquetball and a great café. Easy 5 stars.
