Athur Murray is full of great teachers with lots of opportunity and they always make it a blast to learn new steps. And i must say a great way to shed a few pounds. You will not be disappointed to go take a peak, yes it is spacious and great way to meet people. Im glad I went to Arthur Murray. It is easy to get to and lots of parking space. it could be your second home

AM in Phoenix is probably the best dance floor in the Phoenix area that is available to the public. The suspended wood floor is well maintained and it’s big enough for large events. There is a smaller floor in a separate room for private lessons. The location is kind of weird until you get used to it. The neighborhood isn’t the best but fortunately the parking lot is in the back of the building and seems safe. The ballroom has a good sound system although the music they play often isn’t the best. Air conditioning in the summer can be hot enough to be uncomfortable. I can’t vouch for the AM studio or the lessons because I haven’t tried any there. I often go there for the Sunday Desert City Swing, which is a wonderful West Coast Swing event, and for the USA Dancesport ballroom party that is held there once every other month. This review is specifically for the Sunday class held by DESERTCITYSWING on Sundays at this location . The dance floor is huge and really well kept, however it is located at a rather nondescript building which is really easy to miss unless you know it exists there. The entrance/parking is at the back another reason to easily miss it. By far one of the better swingers visit this joint to strut their moves and glide around the floor. For me Mike the beginners trainer is just awesome, or maybe the way he tries to explain all the small nuances really helps me identify and feel at ease about learning it. The people out here are über nice and will ask you to dance even though they know you are a gauche beginner. Kudos to those women and men who are kind enough to do so and provide a bunch of positive feedback. I strongly feel that they are not appreciated enough for encouraging everyone to partake in this fun activity. A little history: This club formed, breaking away from the GREATERPHOENIXSWINGDANCECLUB. www.gpsdc.com/, which is also a very nice place(having tried both) with Bob being a very good instructor. I just identify more with the instructor in this one to make it worth the extra drive to make it here.
