We stayed at the Phoenicia Belle for the first time this past weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We stayed in Ardrey’s suite … it was really nice … very spacious and comfortable, as well as clean, and attractive. The hospitality of Tom the owner was very nice and appreciated. This was a great way to spend a getaway weekend. We will definitely be back … as we went to relax and enjoy … and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed a really nice breakfast. I would highly recommend the Phoenicia Belle … it is hard to imagine a nicer getaway weekend.

For a B&B it is as good as it gets. Centrally located in town. The house is beautifully maintained and it is apparent the owners care about even the smallest detail. We stayed in Violet’s Suite, and it was just delightful. The best felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I would equate the bedding with a world-class hotel, there was a pillow top mattress cover and deliciously crispy sheets that felt of a very high thread count. We skipped on breakfast, but were able to visit a bit with the owner Tom who was a great host. I would absolutely stay here again. It is a real treat.

Just got back from a short stay at the«Phoenicia Belle B & B «in main street Phoenicia. If your in the Catskills Mountain region for a weekend or vacation and are thinking of staying in Woodstock, drive the extra few miles into Phoenicia and experience breathtaking views of the mountains, unravel to the sounds of meandering streams and find the best hiking and fishing locations from well informed local people that go out of their way to help you. Tom is a world class host and the«Belle«is as good as if not better than any B & B I’ve stayed in worldwide. Complimentary Organic Coffee, organic herbal Fair trade teas, home made breakfast and suites with that«welcome home feel«from the minute you walk in the door . Sip your morning coffee or Orange juice on the front porch of this classic Victorian B & B and try not to think about checking out ! Looking forward to our next trip. Thanks Tom

We spent a long weekend here recently, and really enjoyed it! The room was adorable, very bright and well furnished. The bed was ridiculously cozy – it had a down mattress pad, I believe, and a down comforter. My boyfriend found it a bit soft, but I could have slept all day! They even give you little chocolates from Lucky’s chocolates, which is about 45 minutes away and regionally famous. The only caveat is noise. We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bath, and there is only a thin door separating the two rooms that share the bath. We could hear every time the man next to us sniffled. I never heard a peep out of any of the other rooms, though, so I’d recommend that you stay in one of those if you’re a light sleeper. Phoenicia is a cute little(tiny) town, and the Belle is right in the ‘downtown’ area. There are a few antique shops, a pharmacy, and Sweet Sue’s(writing a review for that next). We went to Sweet Sue’s for breakfast the first day, thinking that we might do the Belle’s(optional) breakfast the next… but we went back to Sue’s. So I can’t speak for the quality of breakfast at the Belle, but if it’s anything like the rest of the place, it’ll be great. The innkeeper is very friendly, and sent us on a great hike near north-south lake.

Phoenica, NY is a wonderful spot in the Catskills and we were lucky enough to choose to spend our Labor Day weekend there! From start to finish our stay at the Belle was fantastic. Tom made booking the trip very easy and was very patient as we needed to make a few post booking changes to accommodate additional family that wanted to join us. My boyfriend and I stayed in Sparrows room($ 100 per night) for two nights it was large, had a very comfortable queen size bed, two windows(facing the back), two chairs and was well decorated. His parents stayed in Sylvia’s room($ 100 per night) for one night, also very roomy, well decorated and comfortable… both rooms shared a lovely and clean bathroom complete with a claw foot tub/shower. The second night his parents moved into Ardry’s suite($ 180 per night) with their daughter, her husband and 14 month old. The suite has two rooms, and a private bathroom. The furniture is well made and complemented the style of the house. The common areas were a living room and porch, both comfortable places to hangout and place a game or shoot the breeze. The town is great! Amazing food(I recommend Brio’s for lunch./dinner and Sweet Sues for the best breakfast you’ve ever had), an active night life(restaurants, bars and stores are opened late), a cool art gallery, smores fire pit at Mama’s Boy, really fun white water tubbing at Town Tinker and bike rentals($ 7 per hour). It’s a small town with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful scenery. We can’t wait to go back!
