I came here to watch the hot air ballon festival. It was also a country fair. So lots of food, rides, and farm animal petting. There a monster truck show, which I didn’t watch. The park was dirty and there wasn’t enough trash cans to put trash. The bathrooms were all port-a-patties. So expect it to be filthy. There was a station to wash hands, but no water came out of it. They ran out of disinfect hand sanitizers as well. It was very crowded. The hot air balloon festival opening was good. I expected a releasing of 35+ balloons, but only about 25 or so were released. The balloons weren’t all released at the same time cause the field was quite. So it came in groups — about 5 released into the air at a time. In the end, I was quite disappointed at the show. I expected more balloons.

I’ve been to this fair in the past before and never encountered anything like this, but at this years fair, there were vendors selling confederate flags and huge pick up trucks with confederate flags on them. I would not recommend anyone supporting this fair or bringing their children here.

The most depressing fair I have ever attended. It’s a fair and I expect, even look forward to, a lot of unhealthy foods. But it is a step too far when the very first thing you see upon entering is a giant sign proclaiming«PIGFATTASTESGOOD!» and a row of folks in motorized scooters eating below it. French crêpe tent had giant Costco bags of oreo chunks and mix leaning right next to the cash box — people, give me a little Fair magic here! Put the mix under the table! A warning: barn marked«Handicrafts» contains a very large and explicit Right-to-Life display. The booth is a double, so occupies one whole side of the barn as you walk in. Display has posters with graphic photos and several large cutaway models. You might want to think twice before bringing your kids through there. The actual handicrafts are in the neighboring barn. We came to see the balloons, which I understand are wonderful. There is no balloon activity before 6:30. We arrived at 2 and were thoroughly disgusted by 2:30, so left without seeing them.

Over all, this was a great fair. Excellent food, lots of families and a neat Hot Air Balloon Launch. Also, a Balloon Light show, set to music! We had a great time with our large family. The set up was really nice and easy to get around, despite all of the people. The carnival portion was awful! I know that we expect unsafe rides and surly operators, but this was the worst I have experienced. I will NEVER take me kids to a traveling ride fair.
