Eddy’s Taxi

I recently used Eddie’s Taxi to go from P-​Burg to LVI Airport, about a 20 mile ride. The charge was $ 40 without a tip, which was a little high. The driver got to my home in his personal car; that was OK as it was a clean, fairly new 4 door vehicle. However, the driver was not very safe, IMHO. He drove over the speed limit, hit the brakes very hard, & was using his phone to navigate to the airport, even though he said he was there 2 days b4 (plus he should know how to get to the local airport as he is a taxi driver, WTF). He also had a friend in the front seat that he was speaking Spanish to, but I thought the driver looked and sounded like he was from North Africa. The driver said he was from South America. BTW, I am a white man that speaks some Spanish. He dropped his friend off & we went to my destination. Then he pays the bridge toll & is speaking Arabic to the collector! I said that I knew by his accent he wasn’t from So. America & don’t try to BS a BS’er. He then admitted that he was from Morocco & then said several times that I was «a very smart man»! We got to the airport & I had to tell him where to turn & which way to go! Anyway, I gave him a $ 5 tip even though he didn’t deserve it. I then said I was scared to be in his car & I was glad the thrill ride was over!
