Ive been here before but i never posted a review! The tacos here are awesome and remind me of taqueria el primo of rio bravo tamaulipas! If you have high cholesterol or a pace maker make sure you sign your will cause tacos are a little greasy but thats what gives it the touch!! lol prices are ok and staff treats you alright! Waitress came several or times to check up on us! 2 thumbs up!

YESYESYESYESYESYES. I have NEVER been to a taqueria where my preferences are actually available to choose from the menu. It’s little requests like«cebolla y cilantro cruda»(usually they are guided a) or «tripa doradas.» They even give you a choice of tortillas«con grasa» «sin grasa» or «poca grasa» and also the option to opt out of «doble tortilla»(who would wanna do that tho?)! If you know me I can get specific with my food preferences and if I forget to ask to have something a specific way, it’s saddening. This is why I like that these common requests are on the menu. I ordered a set of tacos de tripa dorada with doble tortilla de maiz con grasa y cebolla y cilantro cruda. And let me tell you I know this place is from GODHIMSELF! It was pretty late when I got there and it was still super packed with people still coming. This is how you know a taco place is legit! Also the beans they serve you at the beginning are seriously my favorite kind with HUGE salted pork cubes floating in it. My LORT. I can’t wait to go again with my munching buddy!

Finally had the chance to check out this place. It wasn’t as what I expected… I was thinking of a small typical taqueria hole in the wall, but they had an actual POS system… even the waitresses had their own touch based pads to take orders… and I didn’t need to use to much of my Spanish this time… lol the waitress spoke and understood English very well. On to the food… very simple menu… only 2 choices of meat bistec or tripas… pretty much ordered almost everything on the menu… had to make sure the 20 min drive worth it. Definitely meat overload! Literally you can bring your own tortillas and still enough meat to spare. Don’t bother buying the loaded papas… just buy them plain and transfer the pile of meat that’s left over. But the meat was a bit dry, but I’d mix it with the side of grilled onions and helped alot. Overall good place and great plus if you looking for that spot after hours…

Stopped here for a quick lunch today. The food was amazing, the staff friendly and it was very clean. It was nice to have authentic tacos that aren’t loaded with cheese and sour cream! I do need to learn some Spanish for the next time we come here though so I don’t just sit there, point at the menu and nod like an idiot at the server So if I ciuld give an extra star to the staff for putting up with me, I would!!!

If your looking for that Iconic«Mexico» taste, of the Best Mexican Tacos, then you will find it here! This food place has«THEBIGTHREE» when it comes to a 5STAR food place. Great in its authentic taste just as if you were in Mexico, small enough to make it feel special, and most important that awesome service making you feel like your right at home. Taqueria La Herradura has that One of Kind taste that really makes it a Awesome Mexican Taco«Hasta Para Chuparte Los Dedos» Really!!! Just like if your in Rio Bravo at La Taqueria El Primo. You Member! lol Their specialties are Tacos de Bistec, Tacos de Tripas or even better Tacos Mixtos. With that Red Salsa y Chile Toriados but most important that Caramelize Onions. Even to that specific«Taquero Tortilla». Its the little things that count then making awesome food which ones again make this place a 5STAR joint. They also have Papa Asadas, Sincronizadas, Hot Dogs with Bacon and Tortas. Personal recommendation is if your taking your order to go, ask for him to put them in a To-Go Plate. This makes your food way more enjoyable.

I’m gonna give it four stars for just being open so late. I was super hungry at like 11pm and didn’t want to do Whataburger again, so I made the drive to this place. Getting there made me a little uncomfortable, since I had to drive through near-empty scarcely-lit roads, but that was probably Google Maps’ fault. Anyway, the wait wasn’t too long and there were plenty of other people inside, so you know it’s popular. A ton of my friends swear by this place and would probably give it five stars, but I ducked a star cause they were basically what I’d call man tacos. They had soooo much meat in them! I like meat, but not to that degree. I like my cilantro and onion too, and these tacos were lacking. They also don’t do combos(tacos, beans, and loaded potato with a drink) like they do in other places. They do give you free beans and salsa though, but the menu says you have to explicitly ask for them. I’ll probably go back and try a potato next time, if I’m hungry way late again, which is highly likely.

The best taqueria ever! Very inexpensive. I am surprised there are so few reviews here, but who cares, the restaurant is always full so they dont need Unilocal or anyone else to promote it.

food is really good, the wait is sometimes very long so you will be there a good 20minutes waiting.

I moved out of the RGV2 years ago, but every time we go visit we have to stop by for some tacos, even if it is late at night… I like my tacos with out the toppings, but their salsas are the best…
