Top Cash Pawn

Having been to every pawn shop in the metro area dozens of times, David and the crew here at the Wells Branch Top Cash are the best.
First off, if you’re posting a review to cry about what you got offered for a ring/​gun/​appliance, step back and look at where you are — it’s a PAWN SHOP. This isn’t «Pawn Stars,» people. If your stuff is worth a crap, sell it somewhere for what it’s worth — a pawn shop is going to offer you the lowest price they can to minimize their risk and maximize their profit potential. You’re not going to get rich pawning your worthless belongings.
On the other hand, if you want to buy used merchandise at a fair price, this Top Cash has better quality goods and lower prices than any of the other locations in the chain. Over the course of 30 years scouring pawn shops for deals, I’ve learned one irrefutable fact — the manager makes or breaks the location.
The manager here is knowledgeable, friendly, and cooperative. I’ve spent quite a bit of money at this location in the last 10 years, and will continue to do so. Be smart about what you have to sell or what you want to buy — and then you won’t have to whine about what you got or what you paid.

Let start with my loan ended on Friday 62 515, I went in on Tuesday to let them know i can pay off my loan on July 1^st. The lady told me it would be ok. Well on July 1 the manager told me no and i had to pay over 200 for the 80.00 loan. I had to buy my stuff back since i didn’t come back on friday. I explained to him they got cameras and can see i was there on tues and to ask his rep. The manager told me he would call me back the next day he had to get with his rep. Guess what no call back. I showed up on july 2 and the manager told me i had to pay or renew my load since his rep didn’t remember me and the camera didn’t show me at the store. I just paid him the 238.00 and then he gave me a receipt and told me I had to come back for my stuff because its off sight. REALLY??? when i asked him how come i wasn’t told my stuff was not there yesterday or before i even paid? why no sign says my stuff is not here either!!! The manager told me «i don’t have to notify you of anything»… Its now the 9^th and I still have not received a call back that my stuff is back at the store for me to pick up.

If you want a remotely decent offer, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! They lowball everything! Everyone there is ok except the manager (hispanic guy, salt and pepper hair). He only want to except jewerly and knows NOTHING about electonics!

I purchased a handgun from them and when I finally got the chance to test it out it didn’t work. I brought it back to see what type of resolution they would offer for selling a broken firearm… they held the gun for two months, telling me every time I called for an update that it was still being fixed. A week before I was going out of town I told the manager that I was going out of town for an extended period of time and would like to have it back before I left, he told me that it was finally fixed and I could pick it up Friday afternoon. When I called Friday to see if it had been delivered yet I was told it was still being repaired! Of course it was the day off for the manager who I had been working with so no one knew what was going on and couldn’t help me other than promising to «call me back in a few minutes» which ended up being someone else calling me back with a message. I finally asked if I could pick it up unrepaired since I obviously wasn’t getting anywhere with them. They sell broken firearms and probably other broken items, give you the run around, and instead of the manager taking responsibility of a situation he just kept passing the buck to the employees who are not involved and know nothing about the situation. I will never purchase anything from another pawn shop but if I did it would especially not be from this one they are the very reason people don’t trust pawn shops.

They made an exception by accepting my professional kitchenaid mixer, got only $ 60 for it on loan. Pawned my brother sewing machine & stun gun, for a whopping $ 100. Oh well, at least they don’t charge interest the first month! Jason was very helpful.

Offered me $ 200 for a rifle. Went to Action pawn and they gave me $ 750 for the same one. Shows how much they want to profit… I would NOT sell or pawn any weapons at this location.
