I received great customer service from Sergio at Three Points Automotive! He tested my car’s computer a few times to determine if I could pass the state inspection. I finally passed! Sergio has a great attitude. He always greeted my family and I with a smile and suggestions on how to prepare my car to pass the inspection. Overall, I had a great experience! This business has earned my trust and I will definitely be going back if I have any future problems with my car. Thanks Sergio and Three Points!

Well, this may be my first official mechanic since I’ve moved to Austin 2 ½ years ago. I go to Jiffy Lube for my oil changes and the Toyota dealership for recall issues (lol)
They’re totally legit! Friendly and honest. They had a lot of cars that were being worked on and I was freaking out about my stick shift getting stuck (I’ll blame it on Starbucks for not putting the lid on all the way on my Frappuccino and thus spilling all over the inside of my car, including the console! :() so he had one of his guys look at take it apart, look at it and cleaned it. I gave him a tip.
I thoroughly appreciate the help and very happy to know I have a reputable mechanic to go to and one I can recommend to friends!

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Three Points. I took my son’s car there over the weekend for a misfire on cylinder #2. I spoke with Sergio and I must say, I have not meet a nicer and friendlier person in the auto business for quite some time. Sergio, Sergio, Sergio… I cannot say enough great things about him. Extremely friendly and very helpful. I told him I have a 302 code and I changed the plugs and ignition switch and still having the reading. He confirmed which one I changed and it appears I changed #3 and not #2. He asked me if I would like to check that first before trying to bring it into the shop. He provided me with a few tools and I checked it in the parking lot. He was correct, I had changed #3. He didn’t charge me anything and gave me a huge smile and handshake! They have earned a lifelong customer! I will definitely take my 4 cars here if I have any issues! Thanks for the help Sergio!

Three Points is a family own business and the owers when to extreme length to please me due to my lack of satisfaction with my vehicle poor gas mileage.
*** They are satisfied only when they know the customers knows they done verything to address your vehicle issues ****.
I wrote two reviews because I believe the timing belt they replace was the reason for poor gas mileage. The timing belt replacement was actually done CORRECTLY and proof is: in front of me they took all covers off the engine and timing belt, we inspected the preset manufacturer hash marks and they painted marks to aligned belt when was reassembled.
Problem with the gas mileage persist, I do know the timing belt is NOT the root of the problem.
My vehicle has 160,000 miles, all the TCL is not going to prevent it from New problems. TIME to move on and get a BRAND NEW CAR.
I’m happy Three Point Automotive check what I thought was the problem.
I will continue to use they mechanic services and will tell friends to use Three Points Automotive services. This guy reasoble and will work with you. Remember they are mechanics not musicians. Is there a problem they will at all angles to find the root problem. Work they did was done properly, coincidentally my high mileage car has a new problem. My CAR has to go to car after life ‘car heaven’.

Best automotive in Austin! The most honest, and knowledgable mechanics in town. I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and I always get a fair price.

No nonsense. Straightforward. These guys pretty good just like the other reviewers have mentioned. They only do what needs to be done and are good with following up on their work (Notifying you immediately when your vehicle is ready). I recommended a coworker bring her vehicle here and she had no complaints and thanked me as well.

I learned about Three Points Automotive (TPA) through a colleague of mine who’s BFF is the Owner’s brother (Did you follow that?!). They have a good reputation in the community and the Unilocal reviews were solid, so I figured why not give it a shot? I was an my wits end with car trouble from a nightmare Used-​Car I had recently purchased on Airport Blvd. I had taken the car to Lamb’s (those crooks tried to have me spend over $ 3k in repairs, so I ran out of there. Then I tried Pecan Lube, which treated me better but could not get to the root of my issues. Enter TPA!
I called to explain my stresses and concerns about what I’ve been going through, and Caesar answered my call. He was a breath of fresh air! He spoke direct, seemed very sincere, and told me that although he couldn’t promise anything, he would give it his best shot and be honest and fair. I told him that’s all I could ask for right now and decided to bring the car in immediately.
To make a long story short, he got to the root of my problem and tackled it head on. He was honest about other minor things that we should look into later on, but our main focus was getting the car running well again and passing inspection. I really appreciated how he kept constant communication, always called me back when he said he would and went over and above with ordering parts and the service aspect. After installing a new Throttle body and Ignition coils, my car is running so much better and doesn’t have the original Idle issue nor the misfires coming from the engine.
I’m definitely not out of the woods yet, but I can see the horizon and that’s much more than anyone else at this point has been able to do for me. I am definitely a new customer and will return to this gem of a place in the future. Thank you Caesar and Three Points Automotive!

The crew at Three Points are top notch. It is nice having a reasonable, honest, and reliable auto repair shop in Pflugerville. The staff is up front with their prices (which are reasonable). The work has always been done well and in a timely manner. I have taken three vehicles for major and minor repairs and I have not been disappointed. I even take my Audi to them and that says a lot. Thank you Three Points!

I’ve used three points auto service for the past ten years or so. They were highly recommended by a employee at auto zone after asking about a trust worthy auto shop. I stopped by for a estimate to tighten up the stirring on my 1998 dodge ram truck. Upon talking with Cesar, he told me to just pay his mechanic $ 20.00 for his time on a minor stirring adjustment. I guess Cesar knew what he was doing, I’ve been going there ever since. Cesar and the crew have always been up front about any issue I’ve had with my vehicles. As long as they’re in business I’ll always go to them first.

After having a horrible experience with the first garage I took my car to, I brought it here and had an amazing experience! The customer service was amazing! They could see that I was frustrated with the whole situation and they did everything to assure me they will take care of my car! They cut the cost of the repair in half! They are now my go to garage! Absolutely LOVE them!

Took our G6 to them for brakes and they were wonderful! Took less time than quoted and he showed us what was wrong. That speaks volumes since no other repair shop has ever done that. He priced it a few other ways and came up with the most economical pricing for our brakes. I will bring all of our cars here from here on out! Thanks for doing an amazing job!

I’ve lived in Pflugerville since 1997, and I’ve been taking my cars here almost that entire time.
The reasons that I lovelovelove Three Points Automotive are as follows:
~ Cesar and James are super personable and down to earth.
~ They do things on the timetable they promised and generally hit their estimate on the nose. (Yes, unexpected things do occur, but it’s been rare.)
~ As a woman, I’m sensitive to the good ol’ boy mechanic who’s going to talk down to me because I’m female. I have never had that happen here. They explain what’s going on, have shown me parts that need to be or have been replaced. They treat me like I want to be treated. Gone are the days when I have to send my husband to the car shop!
~ My son’s car was recently totaled in an accident, and they gave me a tremendous amount of info about reliability and what I should look for in his next car. You can bet I’m bringing them the prospective replacement cars to check out before we buy!
I’m all about an honest shop that treats its customers well. In fact, we’re about to move to SW Austin, and one of our biggest regrets about leaving Pflugerville is that we’ll be too far away to use these guys for most repairs. Go see Three Points; they’ll do you right every time.

I had some work done on my Honda and they did such a great job. I have taken my car to several places that gave me outrageous prices then I found Three Points and they gave me great rates and excellent service, I would def recommend to my friends!

Three Points just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder for my 2005 GTO. I was very specific about the parts I wanted installed, and they gladly worked with me on my requirements. I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. Caesar made regular phone calls to update me on the progress. Everyone I spoke to there was very friendly and honest. They even picked me up from my home when the car was ready. I will definitely go back there for repair work I cannot do myself.

So far so good. They’ve done good work for me inexpensively. It seems they understand how a car works as opposed to just checking the computer readout. I say this because I had an engine problem where two other mechanics — an independent place and a dealership — BOTH told me I needed an new engine. They replaced a $ 107 part and the car’s been fine since.

I started using Three Points Automotive about 3 or 4 years ago, and all I can say is they’re the best automotive repair shop that I’ve ever dealt with. I think most people know it’s a crap shoot when your vehicle has a problem, and you have to depend on the integrity of others to do the right thing. Well, I’ve had a couple experiences with these guys where they could have easily taken advantage of me, but didn’t.
No one person or establishment is perfect, but at least this one is a friendly, yet no nonsense place of business. Their prices are fair, they don’t rip you off, and they’re mechanics do a good job. I’m very particular with people work on my vehicles, and these folks are top notch. Three Points Automotive is a breath of fresh air, and I’m writing this because I truly appreciate the work they’ve done for me over the last few years. Thank you.

I’ve gone to Three Points for a few years now and I have had great service from them on every occasion. Rather than advising me to fix everything on my car, they would sometimes say, «If you’re keeping the car for more than a few years you may want to replace this now — otherwise you shouldn’t bother.» I feel like they’re my advocates rather than my adversaries. I’ve dealt with both James and Cesar in the front and they are both excellent and nice — always calling when they say they will and doing things on time.
Also, if necessary (and not too far away) they’ll drive you to work after you drop your car off in the morning (and pick you up later in the day). I did this several times when I worked near Mopac and Duval.
Now I have a new car and although I haven’t needed any repairs, they are always way cheaper than getting my scheduled maintenance done at the dealer. (I just make sure I get an itemized list of what they did so I can show it to the dealer in case they try to argue with an under-​warranty repair.)
I would absolutely recommend Three Points. Although I now live near Slaughter Lane, I still drive all the way up north to go there since I know I can trust them.

Convenient, honest, reliable!
It’s never good to have to take your vehicle in to be worked on. With that being said, you want to be able to go to a place where you can trust the mechanics to fix only the necessary parts and not try to upsell you on things you don’t need. I’ve always had good experiences when I’ve taken my vehicles to Three Points. They are a locally owned repair shop that has always done good work for me (5+years). They are honest, fast (all jobs completed same day), and the theater is next door if you want to kill some time while they work on your ride.
I have no hesitations recommending them to friends. Give James a call next time you need some work done.
