The Children’s Courtyard

My family and I chose the Children’s Courtyard after looking at many other preschools, the teachers at this location are amazing. My son has learned so much after only a month of being here! I would not change a thing! The Management team is always keeping us up to date on what is going on at the school, from dress up days to special treats and fun activities for the families.
I would definitely recommend The Children’s Courtyard Pflugerville.

I wanted to thank Miss Ashley Bruno for taking the time to work with my granddaughter. Ashley is a kind andnpatient teacher that works very hard with the kids in Pre K. Thank you again for all you have done.

If I could give this school 10 stars, I would. My daughter has been going here for over a year and has come home with a smile on her face every day. She started off in the Preschool, with Miss Angel, who I can not say enough good things about. She is so sweet, and very caring towards the students. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face, and that is so refreshing for a parent to see. Now, my daughter is in the Pre-​K and her teacher, Miss Ashley, has been amazing. I mean, the nicest, most wonderful teacher. She gives constant updates, via email or phone calls, which I love.
My son, 9, has went to the after school care, and Summer Camp, and I was equally as impressed. The school age kids go on field trips, and keep super busy during the summer days. The preschool and Pre K kids keep busy with all sorts of fun stuff, too. Like, pony rides, clowns, cooking classes, a visit from the Sno Cone truck, water play days and soooo much more.
The director, Malorie, runs a tight ship. You can tell how organized the entire school is, and from an outsider looking in, it really seems like the entire staff gets along and respects one another. The facility is very clean, decorated beautifully, and never has that «daycare» smell.
I looked at a handful of preschools before deciding on The Children’s Courtyard. None that I visited made me feel as comfortable as I felt when I first toured CCY Pflugerville. I am so thankful that we made the decision to put our kids into this school. I have not regretted it one bit and would tell any parent looking for a Daycare or Preschool/​After School facility to look no further. The Children’s Courtyard in Pflugerville is the best!

My son has been going here since he was two months old. I think they do an excellent job with him and as a first time mom, I have peace of mind that he’s being well taken care of. It has been a good experience for him too, since he gets to interact with other children and gets to do activities like painting. The staff is excellent and they really do care! They have taught me some things that as a first time mom I wouldn’t have known, which I really appreciate. Plus, they have a Parent’s Night Out once a month so mommy and daddy get to go on a date!

My daughter has been going here since she was 6 months old. My first review was when she was 15 months old and now she’s almost three! This school is her second home, and everyone there treats her like family. Her teachers Ms Maria and Ms Megan are amazing. But really, the entire staff is wonderful. Mallory, Ashley, Summer and Ivana run the show and greet us every morning with a huge smile and a big hug for my daughter. The school is clean, inviting and they have lots of creative, fun things for the kids to do particularly in the summer. Is it the cheapest place in town? Nope. But we choose to go here because it’s the best choice for our family and for my daughter. It’s safe, fun, clean, they use a great curriculum and they staff is second to none. I want to set my daughter up for success and I feel like this is the place to do it.

My family and I had an awful experience with Children’s Courtyard this past summer and I’d like to make other parents aware of the conditions at this daycare. I’ll start off by saying that my son attended summer camp a last year and it was a great experience, but this year things were not the same.
Some of the things that I observed on a daily basis that rubbed me the wrong way:
–Staff members who looked miserable and did not interact with the kids
–Extremely messy facility, with water, toys, and random junk on the floor in the afternoons… I realize it’s a camp full of kids, but at some point it becomes a safety issue…
–Chaos every afternoon with music extremely loud and kids jumping off furniture
–Staff members screwed up twice and did not take my son on field trips despite us signing him up… so he had to stay at the daycare while all the other kids had fun at the water park
The one that really took the cake is when the staff dropped the ball and neglected to feed my son lunch one day! Apparently someone checked him off the lunch list prematurely and as a result, he was not fed. When he informed the counselors that he hadn’t eaten, they had already run out of food and forgot about the matter until afternoon snack time.
After learning about this screw up, I confronted the counselor and he didn’t seem to care much. He basically said that they gave him a few extra crackers during snack time. I then spoke to the director, who was sincerely apologetic, but at that point the damage was done.
We ended up pulling my son out of the camp and enrolling him in another camp, which worked out much better.
So if you are looking for a daycare or summer camp for your kiddo, please think twice when considering Children’s Courtyard. At a minimum, be sure to look at the DFPS website for violation records

Switched my daughter here after another Children’s Courtyard on Gatti Rd. This is a well maintained school. The director does a good job of running the program. The teachers stay in touch with the parent on issues and things going on. Mrs V her teacher is great!

We came to this school feeling forgotten and dismissed. The director (Sherree) was so warm, welcoming and accessible from day 1 and still today. Ms. V is our our daughter’samazing lead teacher and sent the most loving email on day one. As a mom who wants her children to be safe, educated and loved I feel like Children’s Courtyard in Pflugerville is the best opportunity for success you can offer your child.
