The bartender failed to give me the happy hour discount on draft beer then pulled attitude when I questioned him about it.
Plus, they allow smoking in this venue. How last century can you get?

So we were «those girls» at Red Roosters the other night. My friend and I were drinking on Rainey when we decided to head back to Pflugerville where I live. We wanted to stop by Red Rooster’s so I could show her a local spot before heading home. Our «stop by» ended up being 11PM to Last Call. Too… many…shots. But yay fun time!
First off, everyone in this bar is the nicest person you will meet! From the bartender to the DJ, to the regulars… everyone was seriously awesome! It was karaōke night and that in itself is always a good time. They also have some fun bar games (pool, ring on a string thing, etc.) We danced on the light up floor, we met some cool people and we had too many drinks. Red Rooster’s is a fun spot on a Saturday night!

The karaōke here was fun! It sounded really good and didn’t take long to get on the list. They had a very good song selection and even bought a song for me that I wanted to sing but they didn’t have. I liked the floor lights too. I recommend this place.

Came in to support new bartender Tiffani on a Sunday evening. Was a little apprehension about this based on some of the reviews. We came on a great night. Tiffani was great as usual and I will definitely be back to see her again. My husband and I played a great game of bar bingo. There were fun little games in between bingo rounds. We won sunglasses and fuzzy dice. Then we stayed until closing playing darts and pool. And we had a small hula hoop contest. Great time!!! My husband really enjoyed the place and I was pleasantly surprised to find it totally different than I expected. We will be back.

We always have fun when we come here. Down home chill place. A must try if you are out to chill and have fun.

I do love me a good dive bar! Rickety old building, friendly staff, friendly customers, ceiling beams dripping with the bras of patrons past.
Glad I could smoke there, but there is a patio too, which is cool. I went on 3^rd of July, when most of the town was at the lake for fireworks, so it wasn’t terribly busy — but that didn’t stop the dj from playing some great music.
Prices were average, and they keep a cooler of water for customers to help themselves on a side bar — thoughtful.
The only drawback was that the only sink in the ladies’ room is located inside one of the two stalls. Thank God I carry hand sanitizer in my purse!
I plan to go back for karaōke one day soon… I’ll update this review then!

I kinda like this place. Its my low key, I just wanna go out and grab a cold beer by myself tonight hangout spot. The bartenders are super cool and they carry several local microbrewery beers on tap. I don’t really know how to describe the atmosphere but it’s defiantly different.

This place is awesome, I love love karaōke and they have a great selection. Drinks are good & cheap! I always take visiting friends here for some down to earth fun! ;)

Great place to hang out, watch sports and drink a cold beer. I have been going to the rooster for about 3 years and there is nothing I don’t love about this bar. Do yourself a favor If your in Austin or Pflugerville, go to happy hour at the rooster.

This place tripped me OUT!
Maybe that’s because I’m NOT 21, and come from the generation where we like to associate our «go out attire» with the phrase «grown & sexy». But, this place isn’t much of a very grown OR sexy place, lol YET, it’s still FUN & entertaining as hell. The thing that makes that a PLUS IMO is that you can dress down or dress up & no one will look at you sideways. In sure you could go in swim trunks or a prom dress and they’ll still love you.
I’ll say it. THEY ARE LGBT friendly like a MF. Yup, all those letters. (& a) LOL.
I didn’t see as many gay men as I did women, but if you’re looking for a VERY smoky (you can smoke in here, bleh), place you can chill at, catch some drink specials, have a few beers, play a game of pool, dance on the LED floor, listen to or sing karaōke in a VARIETY of clothing choices, and be right up the street from home… then this place is an interesting spot to check out!
Bartenders are pretty cool! Made a great Rita, had a good selection of liquor and beer. They’ve for lots of themed nights, so ck their website. We went for the «White Girl Rap Karaōke Contest» & I was BLOWN away @ the selection on music the DJ had! Z-​Ro, Funkmaster Flex, quite a bit if Jay-​Z & Wayne that ISN’T on the radio. I ended up having WAY more fun than I expected.
But I’m a married mom of 3, that was chillin with great company. So my expectations are vastly different than a single 21 year olds. Lol
My only complaint was that it was HOT AS … in there.

I have been coming here since January of 2012 and this place really is like a second home to me. Where else could you go where the owner will actually buy you a Christmas present? Really, the staff and owners are so involved and they really care! Sure the place may look a little rough around the edges, but I think that’s the whole charm of it. I really can’t day enough how much I love this bar and I would highly recommend it to anyone. My favorite nights are Thursdays (karaōke run by big red the owner) and Saturdays (karaōke run by o. e of our regulars, lizette).
So. if you are some up tight hoity toity type, you wont like it. But if you are a normal blue collar looking for a good bartender, a good beer, and a good time, this is your place.

Red Rooster’s is an all out fun place, I’ve recently spent my birthday here on December 21^st 2012. I had a blast the music was great and awesome drink special along with the amazing customer service.

I love this bar to get together with friends or catch up with my local buds. I don’t like the smokiness of the place, but I can deal with that. $ 4.50 for chicken wings and a beer! Hell yeah, all day long. Good place to cut loose for awhile.

Great price for drinks, BUT karaōke on Wednesday sucks! The KJ blares the music and you can’t hear the singers! Isn’t that what it’s all about!!!

Nice local joint with the best bartenders & owners in town. They took an old run down place and made it fun again. I love the live music and good people I always run into while i am there.
