Rox Bar & Grille

I was in there this evening around 4:00. I’ve never been there before, sat at the bar and got little attention from the bartender. I asked for a menu and got one, but never got asked what I wanted to drink or anything… Another 10 minutes goes by and nothing. There are plenty of good places in Waukesha that can use my business, so I left and went to one of them. I may give Rox another chance, but not if I see that bartender… Too bad…

I frequent this bar when we have a group of people because there is enough room to move a few tables for good conversations. When the weather permits, we use the patio. They have good happy hour specials. Last night I suggested that my family meet there. We had 11 people coming from various places and I knew this bar had room for u robe together. I asked the bar tender if we could move 2 adjacent tables together. I got a rather rude“I don’t care I’m leaving, but the waiter won’t like it”. WE WERE THE ONY PEOPLE IN THIS LARGE BAR. I moved the 2 adjacent tables together When the waiter come over he was VERY angry that we moved the tables. He made no effort to serve us. I asked if we should leave, he said he didn’t care one way or the other. We were all in shock at his attitude.!! We were going to leave, but we only had a short time to meet. Then he said, «I wouldn’t come in your house and move your furniture». He seriously said that. He continued with this absolutely unacceptable rudeness. My brother talked to the manager and he just made excuses for him (apparently he’s family) I guess you can be extremely rude if you are family of Rox’s! Don’t you think this manager should have offered us something? It’s one thing to have a bad waiter experience but it’s outrageous when the manager accepts it!!!
I just lost one of my favorite group venues. I’m looking for a new place. I hope others do the same.

I’ve been here a few times and have been underwhelmed by the food each time. Tonight, my onion rings were overdone, and the Texas burger was lackluster with a pre-​made patty and floppy bacon. The BBQ sauce on it was plentiful, though, which helped a little. The person I was with also had overbooked fries and was not impressed by the ribs he had.
This is a good place to go to if you are looking to have a drink or two while watching a game on their TVs. They have an impressive, long list of available drinks to choose from. It has a great atmosphere for that, but their food is nothing to write home to mom about.

Reading the other reviews leads me to believe this place can be great, but it’s inconsistent. We went one night after work and enjoyed great food, drink and service. We returned yesterday for lunch and experienced the opposite — inconsistent food, indifferent service, and a surprisingly high tab for sandwiches and sodas. Our first visit made me want to come back. No some much now.

Good atmosphere. Good bar food. I especially enjoy the eggplant strips. We have had delicious pizza, food sandwiches at lunch and great fish fry! Good beer selection!

Asked for another drink at 9:59 when they close at midnight but I guess the bartender wants to close early. Gave me some story about having to give and the drink to others at the bar. Hint maybe you should stay open until close!

A great atmosphere!!! The bartender, Rick was on top of his game!!! The food was pretty amazing. Will definitely come back!!!

Stoped in after work function. Was there 30 minutes. Fot 1 drink. Asked for menu. Never saw anyone again. Asked management. No explanation of poor service. Would not recommended to anyone. Worst place I have ever been.

Great little place for some drinks. Was busy on Thursday night but staffed accordingly and had good happy hour deals. Very convenient location and I’ll definitely check out the restaurant next door next time.

Stopped in to watch the end of the Vikes/​Pack game on Sunday. The bartender was a sweetheart. Super down to Earth and helpful. Beer cheese soup and chicken quesadilla were yummy too! But it was tough to be in enemy territory for that loss :-(

The atmosphere is great and is extremely promising. However, the service is really bad. It doesn’t matter whether it’s behind the bar or when/​if a server bothers to show up to take an order. I have gone many times, at different times and with different people and each time I’m hopeful that maybe, perhaps the service will have improved. It doesn’t and I’d rather spend my time and money elsewhere.

I frequent this establishment 1 – 2 times a week. The gyros, pizza, and burger are great. The spinach artichoke dip is AMAZING, make sure to get it with pita chips. They have a great selection of micro brews and knowledgeable staff Ben and Mandy are awesome and know their beers.

Come friday from 7 – 11 for $ 5 long islands!!!
