Perita & Mitch were fantastic hosts during a very enjoyable stay in the Noël room for 2 nights. The house is really nice, and you can tell that the owners are proud of their updates to the house. The breakfast service was great, and i really enjoyed the rec/media room as well. If ever in the Petersberg area again, I cannot conceive staying anywhere else! Also, 2⁄2013 a restaurant called croaker’s spot opened so it might not be on every area guide just yet… go if you can!

we stayed at the Destiny Inn for two nights in August and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Perita made us very welcome and obviously takes great pride in her home. The furnishings are period style and very tasteful Our room(Noël room) was very comfortable and clean and we didn’t mind walking across the hall to the shared bathroom as we were the only guests there at that time. The breakfasts were delicious(homemade frittata and homemade waffles with sauteed apples) Perita is a very gracious lady and offered us tips on what to see and do in the town of Petersburg. Destiny Inn is centrally placed for the Siege Museum and other«must sees». We had a delightful stay and will recommend this B an B to our friends.

We spent a lovely overnight at the Destiny Inn a couple of weeks ago on our way down to South Carolina. While the neighborhood isn’t fantastic(there’s a mix of well-kept homes and abandoned buildings), the house is beautiful and Perdita was absolutely lovely. She was at the door to greet us as soon as we arrived, provided us with very helpful dinner reservations, and was very understanding regarding out travel plans. Perdita also served us a very tasty breakfast. Unlike many of the other B&B’s which serve massive meals, Perdita’s breakfast was well-proportioned: a croissant with jam, ham, scrambled eggs, and a bowl of fresh fruit. The house was built in the late nineteenth century and Perdita and her husband took charge its refurbishment in the early 2000s. My family ended up renting all three rooms in the B&B, each of which had its own distinct décor and«personality,» without feeling too fussy. The three rooms are on the second floor of the house, which is stocked with a nice selection of recent and classic movies on DVD, games, and books. Free wi-fi is also offered. Each room has its own private bath, two of which are located within their respective rooms, while the bathroom associated with the third room(the Noël Room) is down the hall. This leads me to the only drawback of the house: I stayed in the Noël Room and the water pressure of the shower in this bathroom(which was absolutely lovely in appearance) was rather low. I checked with the other members of my family, and they didn’t have this problem with their showers. Also, there was a plumber outside when we arrived, so the issue may very well have been fixed by now. If you’re looking for a comfortable, pleasant, and romantic place to stay in Petersburg, the Destiny Inn B&B is definitely worth a try!
