Le Rouge Hair Lounge

We went a few months ago and had my daughers’ hair cut. One just got a cut and the other had her hair died purple. They both looked amazing. When I had called to see how much it would be for my daughter to get a partial color, I was quoted $ 60 and when we got there it was $ 100. We made an appointment for my youngest daughter to get her hair and make up done on June 5^th. We made it for 3pm since the salon was closing early. The dance is 7pm. Received a call yesterday at noon wanting to change the appointment to 10:30am. I said that was a ludicrous time as I would have to take her out of school and it would be 8 hours before the dance. The person on the phone said she would call me back and I haven’t heard from her. My daughter is really disappointed. The salon does amazing work and must be doing well as they turned away a customer who was going to pay in excess of $ 120 (not including the tip — which they prefer in cash).

Got my hair cut and it was amazing. Place looked beautiful and everyone was professional and very kind.

It was my first time and sadly I was very disappointed with this salon. The first problem was I had to wait 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment! The other major problem was getting her to color my hair in the color I wanted! She kept telling me I don’t want my hair ‘that’ color do I? She ended up coloring it how she wanted to. And lastly, she did not have a hair diffuser to dry my naturally curly hair. I will not return here nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

There is not enough time or space to give this place the credit it deserves from the owner Amy to the other two hair artist Tina and Rachel. They are amazing. The place is comfortable. The conversations are fun and engaging. The place is definitely French and I feel Moulin Rouge inspired. They are 3 professionals and artists not hairstylists, but artists. You want to look your very best in VA, you need it to make to Le Rouge Hair Lounge at 105 West Bank Street in Old Town Petersburg; otherwise you are just doing your hair wrong.
