Stones throw away from Fort Lee. If your in the mood for some cow this is your place but don’t try ½ lb burger special and think your your going to be productive the rest of the day… dayuuum good burger and the price ain’t bad either. Staff is friendly and they make you feel right at home.

Fries are fresh and golden brown. ½ lb. pound burger was on point with fresh lettuce, onion, and tomatoes. Tiny little joint. I’m anti-​social, had to sidle up to the bar. Sweet tea, not that sweet. Friendly, not overbearing staff who really care the food they serve. Sat next to a fella who ordered a «salad.» He kept saying, «I’ve heard you have great salads.» Salad took a while. When it came out, we realized why. It was a work of beauty, practically an entire chicken, grilled up on a bed of veggies, in a fresh fried flour tortilla. Taco chicken salad. Whew, momma. Look forward to coming back.

stopped by here on a drive back from NC to DC and it was well worth the stop! We waited a bit to order… well a long time… because there was a very large group of military personnel in front of us getting their orders to go– obviously this is not a complaint at all, it’s definitely proof that this is some good stuff. There isn’t a military base all that close to here, that I know of, so they must’ve driven a bit to get their cravings fulfilled.
Each member of my family enjoyed a delicious burger, cooked to perfectly with their choice of toppings on it and some fries and it did not disappoint. The woman who took our order was adorable, although rightfully so, she was little flustered after the rush that came in before us. We would definitely stop here again — it was totally worth it!

Great little mom and pops joint! Wait staff was awesome, and the burgers are delicious! If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be sure to stop in.

Great burgers and fries. The customer service was awesome. It is a little hole in the wall type restaurant, but they did not disappoint at all. It is a great alternative to your fast food burgers and would definitely eat here again.

The best burgers around this area! And the fresh cut fries with the malt vinegar is THE BEST!

I found this place through Unilocal… the reviews did not disappoint me. I ordered a ¹⁄₃ pound hamburger, fries, and sweet and sassy wings to go. The hamburger is definitely worth the visit. I ordered my food to go so by the time i was able to eat the fries they were soggy. The wings were decent. If you are at Fort Lee I would recommend you try this place… i was glad I did…

It looks like a hole in the wall, but don’t let that fool you. This place makes really awesome burgers and fresh cut fries, along with some darn good sweet tea.

This is one of those gems that you just happen to come across. I only had a ½ pound bacon cheeseburger, with the fries done crispy and a side of the onion rings. All of it was amazing! Everything was so tasty as if I made it at home. I debated on getting the 1 pounder, I’ll have that another day. I saw a plate of the Wings come out as I was leaving, I might just have to try them also, they filed up the plate! Just a down home small divey place with great food! Loved It!‘

I went to this little place last week sometime and just haven’t gotten a chance to write a review. First off the staff is great! Very friendly and helpful. On to the food. I had the Turkey burger with fresh cut fries in addition have some Jalepeno poppers and boy was it all so yummy! The food took a little longer then your average place, but it’s just one guy making it all and it was so yummy so if your in a huge rush make sure to come when you have time. You will not regret it at all. I will definitely be back to try some other yummy food. :)

I think this place is pretty tasty as far as burger joints are concerned. I ate here with a friend and we decided to share a few items to sample a larger variety. The 1 pound chili dog was delightful. It was all beef and the bun was toasted perfectly. I also had the 1 lb cheeseburger and fries, which was just like everyone else described. Another friend said the hush puppies were tasty. The place doesn’t have a lot of seating, but if it’s nice outside there is more room on the picnic benches. The service was very nice, and the workers were awesome.

Gr8 food, serving size more than you would expect, wings are hot and crisp, burger is fresh and tasty, steak and cheese looks home made but to full to eat taking it back to the hotel. Would definitely recommend ask for Mary… oh yeah beer is nice and cold and prices are very reasonable

Great little stop on our way to Florida. Burger was good. Fries were good. Happy with the stop. The bathroom s were clean. Our waitress was very nice. Good experience. Bill was less than $ 20 for two of us.

I got a half pound bacon cheeseburger and a load of fresh cut french fries here. It’s a smaller place, but if you have to wait for a seat it is worth it. The burger came out hot and had a delicious taste. The fries were true hand cut and were also very good. Our waitress was very nice and kept my (good) sweet tea full. I got my check and it was 12 dollars. I was stuffed. Definitely worth it. A great burger.

They say Burger Shop out front. They mean it. This place makes the best burger and fries in the area. I had a co-​worker scoff at the 8 $ ½ burger special. I laughed at her and told her to get Wendy’s and we compared the two meals. Big Mikes was cheaper, larger and tested better!
They have other items but we love the burgers too much. You can get them however you want. They dont play with you on the items either. You say extra tomatoes and you get full thick slices. (try that at subway and see the paper thin 1 slice o mater you get on a sub)
The staff is friendly and checks on you if you eat in. We started getting fries to go as I passed by on the way home. One to go fries order stuffs all 3 of us at home.
If you want to live dangerously go for the full pound burger… Or their dinner items. So good… I love a place that says what they do best right on the name.

Picture it, two hungry travelers going down a long, dark road, when out of nowhere, a sign appears touting ‘The Best Burgers’, it was almost as if fate has set it in our path. Not in the best of locations, and having no reviews on Unilocal,we were wary of stopping, almost sure that we were walking into a terrible food trap… or worse.
Turns out all of our worry was for nothing and this place is awesome.
Big Mike’s is small, only a few tables a long counter, the service (Mary, that night) was country friendly and the food was good. The special was .5 lb cheeseburger, fries and a drink for $ 8. I opted for that, while my husband opted for a bacon cheeseburger and wings… what? I said we were hungry travelers, didn’t I?!
They serve their beers in frosted plastic cups, conducive to a very cold, foamy beer, which we appreciated. The burgers took a good 15 minutes to get out to us, but I could tell why immediately upon arrival. They were huge — about the size of my face and piled high with fresh cut onions, tomatoes and pickles. They fries are also fresh, and clearly not out of any bag.
I handily took down my burger and sampled a few fries, but it was WAY too much food for me. My husband had no such issue and said everything was fresh and great. The wings, which he elected to get in the ‘hurt me’ flavor were super spicy, but well cooked and dripping in sauce.
Overall, I’d say we’ll stop here again, even going out of our way to come by!
