I bought a Unilocal deal for massage with Barbara for my 81 year old dad’s birthday this year. She was extremely kind and helpful on the phone when I scheduled, and he hasn’t stopped raving about her since his treatment. He worked for years as a massage therapist, and is really one of the best I have experienced, so his praise is significant. He has continued to see her regularly, despite having told me in the past that he didn’t have funds to allocate toward massage– he’s found them to take advantage of her skillful and experienced work. Thank you Barbara!

Barbara is a wonderful massage therapist. She is knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and really takes the time to listen in order to provide you with a treatment specific to your issues and physical needs. Her small studio is quiet and comfortable; very homey and welcoming. She uses heated towels and pillows and the room is comfortably warm. She is a lovely, gentle soul who offers a nurturing, professional service at an affordable price. I highly recommend booking an appointment. If you are someone who has any reservation about getting a massage, or generally feels ill at ease in this environment but would like to have a safe and nurturing experience, you can’t find someone better than Barbara.

Travelling to Petaluma from Boston, I felt drained all over and my lower back acted up. I had a wonderful first-​time session with Barbara. I got up from the table refreshed all over, and with relief to my lower back.
Barbara asked questions before she began, and worked her way around to my trigger spot, with stretches and deep pressure in connected spots. At the end, she explained what she had done and recommended a specific book to me for my situation.
Barbara speaks and works from a lot of experience, and that’s what I needed.
She also works from a unique, restored old factory building, with lots of unique shops and practices, a very warm and comfortable space.

I have had a number of injuries, and have tried multiple types of therapies and therapists including massage. Barbara is the only one ever to remove ALL of the knots in my back including the ones I have had for 20+ years. Give her your time. Don’t waste your money on anyone or anything else. She will find a way. On top of that she is a really great person to talk to. She is well worth it!

My wonderful wife loves a great massage, so I logged into Unilocal,searched for massages in town, and found «Terapeutic Bodywork» had great reviews, and purchased a 90 minute massage as a birthday gift. I drove her to the appointment, walked her in and met Barbara. The location was very quiet, in a big brick building. My wife is very very picky when it comes to massage. She has had professional massages in Sonoma, Maui, Monterey and other locations while on vacation. I got a call from my wife about 90 minutes later, hearing the relief in her voice, I asked, «How was your massage?» Her response, «Oh my GAWD! I needed that, and so close to home!» Thinking ‘I just shot myself in the foot’, because my lovely wife is definately going back for monthly therapy.
Barabara is an incredible therpist, with many years of experience, and does not stop learning and improving her technique. My wife put Barabara at the top with another therapist in Maui. We (yes, I am going too) are definately going to make Barbara our massage therapist, and recommend her to all our friends.

I’ve been getting regular massages for the past 3 decades — everything from Shiatsu to Swedish and everything in between. Barbara’s unique blend is just the right ‘touch’ all the way around.
I was very fortunate to find her as I had stage 4 cancer and she’s signed up with the insurance carrier so I went to her by default, or we would never have met! I can honestly say that her healing touch helped be through the most difficult of times during chemotherapy. And even now that I’m in complete remission, she’s the only masseuse I care to see anymore.

We have used Barbara’s massage services for several years now. Both for my and my husband. She is professional and very knowledgeable. She is great if you have a chronic problem or have recently sustained an injury and need therapeutic massage. She’s great.
